The owner refused to let me use the washroom because I was carrying my small dog, even though it would have only taken a few steps to get there. I had already ordered takeout, yet I was still told to use a public washroom outside, which was extremely inconvenient and frustrating.

Later, when I returned to the restaurant, I saw another customer dining inside with their large dog—not on the patio or in an outdoor area—right where people were seated for regular dining. The dog was not a service animal. I was speechless.

I went out of my way to follow the rules, ordering my food outside because I thought dogs weren’t allowed inside. However, I wasn’t even permitted to quickly use the washroom while carrying my dog. This felt like blatant DISCRIMINATION—something I’ve rarely encountered as someone who has lived in Canada my entire life.

P.S. It was honestly the worst burger I’ve ever had—the bun was soggy, and the beef itself tasted like water.

Got the calamari, fish and chips and the 97 burger and the best thing was the calamari. For fish and chips the batter was undercooked and not crispy and part of the fish was cold. The burger was very dry yet smothered in extra sauce like they knew it was dry. Service was disappointing as we were checked on once and then waited 15 minutes after finishing everything for the bill. Disappointing experience overall.

The whole Marina and restaurant operation over on Bowen is amazing! Michael and his team on the docks are amazing! The pub is a staple and we will be back for certain soon! Highly recommend

Traveling back and forth to Bowen can be a drag when having to wait for the ferry, however a quick stop in here for the best fish and chips this side of the rockies makes it all worth it.

Sat down orderd a burger then got moved to a uncomfortable akward small table, her explanation was the 4 seat tables were for other customers (there were 4 empty tables ) I couldn't sit comfortably at the new table so got my food to go and ate outside burger was good service not so much

No more vegan options, because they have a new menu. Currently the only vegan thing they have is crispy Brussel sprouts.

Have a day trip to Bowen Island. Happened to have lunch here. I didn't have any expectation for dining in a small island. Surprisingly this was so good. Raw Oysters were fresh....$2.5/pc on Sunday...very good deal. Halibut was fresh and tasty, not as greasy as general Fish & Chip. My favorite was the mussels which was extremely good, best mussels I ever have. Over all, all seafoods very fresh...FRESH FRESH FRESH. Patio seatings added beautiful scenery to our meal. Must go place in Bowen Island.

Awesome location for a pub. Good beer, but hit or miss food. I don't recommend the giant meatball, but the burger was amazing! And we had good oysters but one of them was rotten unfortunately.

Food itself is decent tho the menu is highly confusing and also out of date with prices. For instance see photo attached to this review. Ordered steak sandwich, and this comes with fries on the side, not onion rings. $3 upcharge for onion rings. Apparently a steak sandwich is considered a burger, who knew?
I'm genuinely curious if the poke bowl is considered a burger too lol.
Perhaps this error might have been caught if the server asked if we'd like a salad, or other substitution with the sandwich, but alas, this did not occur either.

Atmosphere I've given 3 stars as while nice view, the chairs and patio are just furniture you'd see at your grandpa's house in the 90s.

This pub is such an enjoyable place to go and have a meal and a beverage, it is my go to when I hop on the ferry for a getaway. The only drawback... not every table is in front of the window to enjoy such a beautiful view! I look forward to summer and eating on one of the patios.
