“Speedy service and wonderful service during a rush hour? Insane! The food was delicious and the atmosphere inside of the cafe makes you want to order more just to stay.”
“I love the fresh baked breads and pastrys at this cafe. Also, I love the very tasty eggs Benny me i to have three at one time to get enough to satisfy my craving it has a house made bun rich flavorful hollandaise sauce perfectly cooked pouched eggs choice of ham, bacon,or smoked salmon paired with delicious homemade cubed fried potatoes with a side of salad all finished with a large dripp coffee sadly only available all day on the weekend I also enjoy there other menu items like sandwiches soups there daily features are grest as well so if you're ever on bowen Island stop by and enjoy a great breakfast or lunch and don't forget to take home some dessert for later this made me hungry thinking of heading up to the Cafe rite now some good food and coffee ☕️.Vegetarian options: They have vegan sandwiches, soups, and salad if like to eat food without meat but still want a good amount of protein .cafe also has lunch features, often good vegetarian curry.Dietary restrictions: Like any good cafe restaurant, they can accommodate any dietary restrictions with a smile on there face.Parking: When you first arrive at the top of the mountain, you see about ten parking spots on your right. There is parking all around the plaza for single vehicles all in a row, so I say about twenty more spots are available.Kid-friendliness: The family style tables can accommodate small humans very well by this. I mean, the table is short enough for your kids to eat nicely until they have too much sugar, then you can go for a nice walk and take in the wonderful view .”
“Delicious food! Friendly stuff! We were on Bowen for only 2 night, and both dinners we had at this place. I’m in love with Italian food, and Tuscany is on my top 5 places in North America where I would come back.100% recommendOnly feedback is amount of stuff. On busy hours can tell that it’s understaffed. We were ready to wait as long as needed, however we heard some guest leaving unhappy because of thatBest of luck ☺️”
“A true paradise on Bowen for lovers of Spanish cuisine. The quality of the dishes, the warm atmosphere and the impeccable service make it an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience the sunny flavors of Spain.Dietary restrictions: Possibility of Vegan meals”
“The flavors here are just amazing and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I had the beef burrito and it was just perfect! Will for sure come back to this place.”
“You would think that for a fairly touristy location, the prices would be high and the portions would be small. But to be honest, the portion sizes are larger than just about anything. You'll get on the mainland and the price is in and around the same. So, it's great value for money plus a very convenient location!”
“A well-kept secret that I need to share! The bakery has yummy fresh baked goods, and we had a lovely breakfast of eggs and bacon and breakfast sandwich. Bon appétit!”
“Previously living in Van just off Main st we were spoiled with many choices of tasty happy hr's and great venues. Moved to Bowen 3 yrs ago and Docs is now our go to. The food is great and the staff are experienced and professional. Would definitely recommend.”
“I really liked the Spicy Pork Garlic ramen! If you like spicy and want ramen, I recommend it! Pork is tender as well. The vibe is really nice with the music too.”
“A favourite place to visit whenever we head to Lighthouse Park. The taste of their Latte are great and the amazing latte art makes them even better. First time we visited we had their steak frits and hamburger. Second time we had the mimosa, soup, and burger again. Definitely worth coming here. There are some parking in front of the cafe.”
“Lovely place, the coffee is really tasty, but the smoked salmon sandwich… I love it. So smooth and yummy. Also the muffins are so delicious!! I really recommend this place!Vegetarian options: They have vegan food as well.”
“Took the family to Wildlight for a birthday dinner. The food was fantastic. We had the Miso SableFish, Celeriac Agnolotti, Hokkaido Scallops which were perfectly cooked and the flavours were amazing. I would recommend the Pescatarian Charcuterie Board, the smoked and cured fish was delicious, went well with the nori crackers! All of our dishes were great. Our server Penny was wonderful and gave us great recommendations.”
“Stopped in for Fritter Friday, $5 for a fritter and an americano. Very delicious coffee that didn’t need sugar at all. I love the yellow accents on everything and the mural was beautiful.”
“Now and then when I need a coffee I’ll come here. It’s close by and a nice quiet place for a morning coffee before all the grumpy people wake up to go to work. I’ll sit by the window and just look out into the parking lot to pause before heading out for the daily chores. Life here is like a small town. Relaxed and less stress. A nice place to retire if you can afford it. Coffee is excellent. I bought some coffee to make at home in our coffee machine.”
“Excellent place, very good atmosphere and exquisite food, I just didn't give it 5 stars for food because the pizza was very spicy and they warned us that it was like that. But I recommend it 100%”
“This is exceptional sushi, found in few places, including Vancouver. The Chicken Karage was juicy, meaty, crispy and golden. The Hokkigai Nigiri was tender, sweet and delicately tasted of the ocean, like a kiss from the sea. It has the very best Negitoro roll we have ever eaten. We felt we got our money’s worth and more. A ‘must stop n dine’ if you are visiting g the Sunshine Coast.”
“Such yummy treats. Always a happy warm environment. Can sit and enjoy your dessert on the comfortable couch. Or enjoy some lunch and people watching at the table.”
“This place is special! Lisa is so welcoming and friendly. Food is interesting and delicious. As a group we had most of the vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu and everything was incredible. Love this place!”
“We are blessed in Gibsons with a few Micro breweries and Persephone is my favourite. It has an excellent vibe and an amazing collection of places to sit outside. I have never been disappointed and it is really a unique experience. A must visit even if you don't like beer. (-:”
“Had the eggs Benny with greens and it was delicious. The sauce has a bit of tang to it. The portions are generous and the atmosphere fun, retro, Betty Boop 50’s!”
“I stopped in on the way to Vancouver. I am not from the area. The fish and chips was very good. The coleslaw that came with the dish was different. It had an unusual flavor and was very good. I would like to know just what that spice was. If I am in the area again, I will stop in again.”
“6 stars aligned with the Moon over Gibsons.I got a sneak peek into this place of magic. Every step is worn in with heart and soul taking you back to Central Mexico.Laughter, love and tears of elation elevate the murals and paintings on the walls, and then step downstairs into another dimension to be transported into Baja Mexico on the bay. Words can't describe Lunitas, just try the "P.S." salsa and you will want to eat everything on her menu. This is more than a restaurant, this is The Place for everyone.Es un milagro a visitar Lunitas en donde la gente siempre estan felice.”
“I tried the double chocolate bread (Valentine’s Day special) and was blown away! It has a rich chocolate flavor but wasn't overly sweet. I'll definitely be coming back for more.”
“Best place in ubc .. Wife likes them a lot..i am finding anything Wow..they're good enough. Nice place for lunch or dinner Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.. so amazing and we will definitely be back again. ?”
“C’mon down to Smoke On The Water. The brisket is amazing and the seasoned fries are sooo good! Ken and staff could not be any nicer. View from the patio included. We will be back!”
“Rain or Shine is my favourite Ice Cream place and this is my first time to come to this location at UBC.Compared with the location I normally go to on Cambie, this location at UBC is very small. There are not many seats you can sit inside the store. I didn’t feel comfortable for having a seat right by the door. However, it was also a bit too chilly for me to stand and enjoy my ice cream outside. We had single two flavours today. In my opinion, it is the better deal that allows you to try two flavours at the same time. It is also a more responsible choice if you need to watch your calorie intake. We went for two seasonal flings - Miso Dulcey Choc and Malt Choc Honeycomb. They were both surprisingly good and could not decide which one is better. Perhaps, Miso Dulcey Choc was more unexpected. It kind of had a creamy texture which we enjoyed. Malt Choc Honeycomb tasted like Milo - the malt chocolate drink that we grew up with.”
“The best hotdog I have ever had in my entire life. This place was super fast and the hotdog was just amazing. I got the pizza dog which sounds weird but was so good that I had to review this place.”
“Brass spoon cafe is a hidden gem. We ordered mango lassi and Asian bowl, both very delicious. The spices in Asian bowl are really flavorful and rice is delicately flavored with pandan leaves and coconut milk. The chicken nuggets are not oily and not deep fried, just tasty. I really appreciate the home-made feeling and recommend giving it a try when you are around in Gibson.”
“Picture a beautiful sunny morning on the pier on bowen Island where you can watch the ferry docking and add a wonderful tumaric latte very tasty curry chick pea salad but of course I had to add 4 slices of bacon very tasty the sandwiches are great also with the bacon they use that life for now.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sandwiches soups and salad.Parking: There are very few spots near the pier, but if you don't mind paying Park at steam ship marina short walk to the Cafe.”
