The Mad Hen Reviews
Decor is excellent, retro tables and surroundings. Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, John Belushi and Betty Boop. The staff very good fast professional helping each other. Food delicious we had two types of Bennies, which you could have their great fried hash or a tasty green salad both are good.
Fun place with fun decor. Service was outstanding! Had Classic Benny which was good and savory and the Coastal Hash with sun-dried pesto sauce which was good but a little on wet side from wilted greens and thus it lost some of its flavor. Gluten free toast is a plus! Decaf drip coffee was watery, kinda typical diner quality coffee. Hot chocolate was yummy!
Great food and location. Gets really busy on weekends.

The Mad Hen is a unique and charming spot that offers a lively, retro ambiance and top-notch food quality. The classic breakfast remains a popular choice, and the varied menu caters to diverse tastes. The decor is described as "very cool and funky," including the washroom, adding to the fun atmosphere. The food is tasty and hearty, with the meat relic omelette being highly recommended. Portions are generous, and the toast and hashbrowns are well-received. While the food can be a bit heavy, it is considered worth a visit. The service is generally friendly, though it can be slow at times. The Mad Hen is a great spot for both tourists and locals, especially those seeking a fun vibe and good food in the heart of Gibson's.
