“A little bit of heaven on earth, this piece of paradise is what the coast was made for. Fruit orchards, a cottonwood grove, a dog park, and adorable ducks waddling about the pond make this an idyllic place to enjoy the cider that lives up to it.”

“I came here with a friend based on the recommendation of mutual Vancouver friends. What an absolute delightful service, location and vibe. Set in a lovely garden space, with tables and chairs, and plenty of grass to lay a picnic rug down on, The Brass Spoon offered a short, but delicious variety of menu items. The mango lassi was delicious - not overly sweet, but tasting of yummy mango and very refreshing. The Indian samosa and spinach fatayer were delivered piping hot and crisp from the oven; and the chicken wrap was equally as delicious. The chicken if cooked on the spot, rather than precooked, so it took perhaps an extra 15min for it to be ready. Well worth the wait. The staff were lovely, welcoming and keen to have their little business grow into something larger. Highly recommend The Brass Spoon if you’re visiting the Sunshine Coast, a local or looking for something more personable than the eateries on the Main Street in Gibsons.”

“I enjoy my visits to Persephone Brewing Company when I am in Gibsons. I have popped in during fall Halloween season and flowering summer season, both times were great and I noticed interesting events posted. Covered outdoor, inside and garden seating to enjoy. A BC Ale Trail sponsor”

“Great little place. Cozy, with very friendly service and good drip coffee. And so nice to find a place with great music for a change (soft jazz...think Ella, Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, etc.). Croissants were delicious, and I'm fussy about my pastry! We've been to most of the coffee shops in Gibsons (we live here) and this is at the top of our list.”

Come check this place out if you are in Gibsons. Bowl of pho is $20 so I bit more than other places but regular for on the Sunshine Coast.”

The young lady was very helpful bc i was confused wha to order
I got some fried dumplings 9/10 very good
And i let the lady decide the main dish so i forgot the name
But jesus it was good😂
It was a nice combination between vegies and beef
It was delicious 10/10

Will go back and try the fried chicken

I found this place through its google reviews and being an old ‘stick in the mud’ I was a little disappointed to find the breakfasts were totally plant based, (I do like my eggs and sausage). However, the food was absolutely spectacular, as tasty as any breakfast anywhere. So good, I went back for more the next day. The ambiance was perfect, (being located in with a cidery helped!) and the staff/owner(s) were an absolute pleasure. 💯 recommended and I will be back next time I’m in the area👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻”

“We've been going to Sheer Bliss pretty much every week for a while now, and Steven and Catherine have always been the most wonderful hosts. Steven made all the incredible food himself, from the baked goods (the cheese and basil scone is to die for) to the classic breakfast with that super fluffy potato cake. On top of that, they knew every regular customer by name and always took a few minutes to come and chat. We have a baby and the love they showed for our son just made us love them even more, so learning that Sheer Bliss was sold was definitely an emotional surprise...To Steven and Catherine, thank you for being a part of many delicious memories we made as a family. We'll always remember how warmly you welcomed us and we'll definitely miss you!
And to the new owners: you definitely have some big shoes to fill! But we can't wait to see what you will build in this special little corner of our town. We'll see you soon!”

My daughter took me there for my birthday dinner tonight, and I’m honestly kicking myself for not going sooner. Everything from the absolutely flawless food to the out-of-this-world service, was exceptional. I’m talking “tell everyone you know” kind of exceptional. We ordered the seafood platter, a few tapas, drinks, and dessert ... and it was all chef’s kiss. Generous portions, incredible flavour, and super reasonable prices. But what truly set the night apart was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Every single person we interacted with was genuinely warm, thoughtful, professional and attentive. “Thank you to the Team at Blackfish Pub, my husband and I had a great lunch there yesterday, Our server was charming and helpful in making our choices and when we mentioned we had a ferry to catch and short on time, her response ...no worries I can put a rush on it. We did indeed arrive at the ferry terminal in good time , unfortunately however without my iPhone. I called Blackfish Pub and again a charming individual answered my call, yes they had my phone and instantly, once I mentioned but we were inside the gates , he knew there was no way for us to turn around and pick up the phone. Perhaps not the first time this had happened, but he had the solution immediately, he would call a cab to the Pub , give the driver my phone who would meet me where walk on passengers are dropped off and that is absolutely what happened ! Service beyond expectations on all counts , yet having been up the Sunshine Coast for years , not surprised , there is something so very special about those who call the Sunshine Coast home.”

“This would have been a five star rating based on agreeable prices and quality food, if it weren't for a server wearing Meta glasses. That is not an appropriate thing for an employer to permit an employee use while on the job. Otherwise the server was really great, but wearing privacy violation glasses is not cool.
