“Stopped in and had a flight of cider each. We were lucky to have the use of a propane fire pit which added to the charm of the picnic area. The ciders were delicious, highly recommend stopping in!”
“This place is special! Lisa is so welcoming and friendly. Food is interesting and delicious. As a group we had most of the vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu and everything was incredible. Love this place!”
“Excellent place, very good atmosphere and exquisite food, I just didn't give it 5 stars for food because the pizza was very spicy and they warned us that it was like that. But I recommend it 100%”
“The Black Bean has great coffee, kind service and chillin' atmosphere. Location couldn't be better; nestled in lower Gibsons in a trendy neighborhood with fantastic views. The prices are fair and the food is good.Parking: A very tight, little street with only a few spots in front. Best to walk up if possible”
“I've been going to Persephone every time I visit the sunshine coast for about a decade now, and regularly call it the happiest place on earth. I will always suggest it as a Sunshine Coast destination. But I have never been tempted to review it until this past weekend though!I ended up chatting with an employee there, Lisa, as she was making the rounds and it turns out we both have the same obscure breed of dog. Neat! She was friendly and engaging and made me Mom who was visiting from out of province feel right at home.BUT way way beyond that! She ended up finding my wallet that I had dropped and remembered that were were on our way to the ferry back to the city. Lisa drove down to the terminal, walked up to where the passengers load and waved us down right before we got on the ferry to give me my wallet back. She is an absolute ANGEL. I screamed it at the ferry terminal, but in case you didn't hear - THANK YOU LISA!Great beer, great food, and great people.”
“Delicious food & accomodating staff. Chef overheard us asking the waitress about vegetarian options and brought us a complimentary Vegetable Croquette (like a potato croquette but better) on the house. Rolls were great and Yakisoba tasted just like it did in Japan! When we asked what kind of tea we were drinking, the waitress decided to bring us 2 of the tea bags to take home, free of charge!Music sounded similar to what you might hear on the streets of Tokyo, just in Korean instead.Do try!Vegetarian options: Great tofu/mushroom yakisoba, shiitake/beet roll, peanut/brocolli roll, yam tempura, and tamago + inari nigiri. Looked, smelled, and tasted fantastic -- you won't be disappointed”
“This is exceptional sushi, found in few places, including Vancouver. The Chicken Karage was juicy, meaty, crispy and golden. The Hokkigai Nigiri was tender, sweet and delicately tasted of the ocean, like a kiss from the sea. It has the very best Negitoro roll we have ever eaten. We felt we got our money’s worth and more. A ‘must stop n dine’ if you are visiting g the Sunshine Coast.”
“Food is very authentic, even better than the ones we used to taste in Hong Kong. We ordered Satay Beef Vermicelli Pot, Lemon Chicken, fried broccoli, West Lake Beef Soup and fried bun. They are all very delicious, especially Satay Beef.Decor is modern and well-designed and clean. It’s comfortable to stay there with family for a wonderful dinner in our first day of Sunshine Coast trip.”
“We had, a brisket sandwich, a smoked salmon sandwich and an incredible mango and frangipane tartlet. Both sandwiches were fantastic, but the tartlet was extraordinary. The service was also extremely friendly and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck and eating this yummy meal.”
“All the food are amazing. We order at least once, but sometiems more in a month.맛있는!!I also order kimchi. Very nice kimchi, spicy but not too spicy. Also not as tart, as the store bought ones. My favorite kimchi. ?Favorites:GalbiTang, Don-Ga-seu, Japchae, JJam-Ppong soup with beef. Bulgogi Dak-Galbi, so Bulgogi, veggie Dumplings, pancakes, etc. They have a green salad, which is simple, but so delicious ?If you're a Hungarian, Dongaseu is a must, it is basically "rantott hus" = breaded pork cutlet.= "Wiener snitzle"Vegetarian options: Veggie dumplings, soup, kimchi, seafood a lot!!!Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian. Also glass noodles are gluten-free (made of korean sweet potatoes)Parking: Mall parking lot, lots of roomWheelchair accessibility: Yes, the while mall is accessible”
“Super delicious and well priced. Exactly as the name say, fresh and healthy! Enjoyed a big cup of fresh squeezed orange juice - such a treat. Kind service and my toddler loved the food. Thanks!”
“An absolute Gem! They had excellent friendly service and staff. The food quality was top notch and will definitely be coming back on my next visit. I had the Classic Breakfast, really good!”
“Solid food, pretty standard service, just can't give it 5 stars because I was spoiled for choice when I lived in Vancouver for pho, and this place simply isn't quite as good as some of those. That said, it'll satisfy a craving if you need some good soup or vermicelli. Also their spring rolls are very good.”
“The carnitas and house chips were fantastic. Atmosphere was authentic and the service was top notch. The outdoor patio was great. Lots of gluten free options clearly labeled on the menu. I would go again in a heartbeat.”
“A little bit of heaven on earth, this piece of paradise is what the coast was made for. Fruit orchards, a cottonwood grove, a dog park, and adorable ducks waddling about the pond make this an idyllic place to enjoy the cider that lives up to it.”
