“I came here with a friend based on the recommendation of mutual Vancouver friends. What an absolute delightful service, location and vibe. Set in a lovely garden space, with tables and chairs, and plenty of grass to lay a picnic rug down on, The Brass Spoon offered a short, but delicious variety of menu items. The mango lassi was delicious - not overly sweet, but tasting of yummy mango and very refreshing. The Indian samosa and spinach fatayer were delivered piping hot and crisp from the oven; and the chicken wrap was equally as delicious. The chicken if cooked on the spot, rather than precooked, so it took perhaps an extra 15min for it to be ready. Well worth the wait. The staff were lovely, welcoming and keen to have their little business grow into something larger. Highly recommend The Brass Spoon if you’re visiting the Sunshine Coast, a local or looking for something more personable than the eateries on the Main Street in Gibsons.”

“Cool spot - lots of options for seating, quite specious area and wasn’t crowded on a Sunday in spring which was nice - came here to get farm eggs - wanted grass fed but not sure they are - when to check out the chickens , they are at least roaming free in their fenced off area. Lots of doggos here which is also nice to see- doggo friendly spot . Would come back to check out their food , smelled and looked tasty. Been serving their beer for years at my work so nice to see where it comes from.”

“Great little place. Cozy, with very friendly service and good drip coffee. And so nice to find a place with great music for a change (soft jazz...think Ella, Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, etc.). Croissants were delicious, and I'm fussy about my pastry! We've been to most of the coffee shops in Gibsons (we live here) and this is at the top of our list.”

Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Prices felt fair for the portion sizes.

“I’m so glad I stopped in here today! I ordered the falafel bowl and avocado smoothie and both were delicious! The bowl was loaded with fresh and flavourful ingredients (I was just in Vancouver and ordered a bowl from a bigger chain and it was almost all rice and no veggies). The staff person was so friendly and I could see that they were chopping up fresh ingredients right then for my bowl! Good prices too, compared to the bigger chains. Highly recommend!!”

I got some fried dumplings 9/10 very good
And i let the lady decide the main dish so i forgot the name
But jesus it was good😂
It was a nice combination between vegies and beef
It was delicious 10/10

Will go back and try the fried chicken

“Delicious food and lovely service! We shared the scrambled egg breakfast, and half was plenty for each of us. Although I think they threw in an extra bread and potato cake for us. They served it on separate plates, and it was so tasty. We also got a banana walnut cream cheese muffin and some ginger turmeric tea. Everything was great. Highly recommend!”

We sat by the window enjoying great coffee and a stunning view of the mountains. Staff were really friendly and their merch section is top notch.”

“We had a delicious dinner at Sima Japanese restaurant in Gibsons, BC. We ordered Bento Box B, which came with fresh tuna roll, crispy veggies and prawn tempura, and delicious miso soup. Everything was well prepared and flavourful. Paired with hot Japanese tea, it was a perfect meal. We’ll definitely go back.”

“The service was good, the decor was good, the food was good, but they put on very little hollandaise sauce on my benny which was very disappointing. I asked if the iced tea was bottomless which the server said yes, but is came in a can so I don't know for sure. If not the can was $3 which is very pricy for 1 can of iced tea. My boyfriend had an omelet which looked big and he said was good but would not order it again.

My main complaint is that I could see into the kitchen. There were 3 cooks who all wore 1 glove each. They were using both hands to grab and make food. The hand without the glove was wiped on their aprons. That is not sanitary and could cause cross contamination.”

“We finally tried Leo’s Tapas & Grill in Gibsons --> and wow! I’m still floating from the experience. My daughter took me there for my birthday dinner tonight, and I’m honestly kicking myself for not going sooner. Everything from the absolutely flawless food to the out-of-this-world service, was exceptional. I’m talking “tell everyone you know” kind of exceptional. We ordered the seafood platter, a few tapas, drinks, and dessert ... and it was all chef’s kiss. Generous portions, incredible flavour, and super reasonable prices. But what truly set the night apart was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Every single person we interacted with was genuinely warm, thoughtful, professional and attentive. Can’t wait to go back! ❤️”

“Thank you to the Team at Blackfish Pub, my husband and I had a great lunch there yesterday, Our server was charming and helpful in making our choices and when we mentioned we had a ferry to catch and short on time, her response ...no worries I can put a rush on it. We did indeed arrive at the ferry terminal in good time , unfortunately however without my iPhone. I called Blackfish Pub and again a charming individual answered my call, yes they had my phone and instantly, once I mentioned but we were inside the gates , he knew there was no way for us to turn around and pick up the phone. Perhaps not the first time this had happened, but he had the solution immediately, he would call a cab to the Pub , give the driver my phone who would meet me where walk on passengers are dropped off and that is absolutely what happened ! Service beyond expectations on all counts , yet having been up the Sunshine Coast for years , not surprised , there is something so very special about those who call the Sunshine Coast home.”
