Galbi tang was good as well, except it was a bit too peppery to our taste. Bibimbap & Soondubu soup was decent as well.”

Come check this place out if you are in Gibsons. Bowl of pho is $20 so I bit more than other places but regular for on the Sunshine Coast.”

I found this place through its google reviews and being an old ‘stick in the mud’ I was a little disappointed to find the breakfasts were totally plant based, (I do like my eggs and sausage). However, the food was absolutely spectacular, as tasty as any breakfast anywhere. So good, I went back for more the next day. The ambiance was perfect, (being located in with a cidery helped!) and the staff/owner(s) were an absolute pleasure. 💯 recommended and I will be back next time I’m in the area👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻”

Best coffee I have ever had. I am not really a coffee drinker cuz I usually find coffee to be bitter,so this is high praise.
Had the vegetarian omelette. It was soo good I want to go back just for that. The bakery items we had were also excellent!!
The staff were wonderful, friendly, & helpfull.
The vibe is cheerful, lots of happy smiling faces.

Our server (sorry didn’t get the name, male server working the night shift on Sept 30), was so friendly and attentive! Truly made the night even better!

The food was delicious, and a great value (~$20 pp pre tip), especially considering this is a waterfront restaurant and the quality.

We ordered the 8 piece family Chicken meal, which was plenty of food for 2 people. The chicken was nice and crunchy, some pieces being drier than others (chicken wing and breast) - you can get 1/2 spicy, 1/2 original. For our sides, we got the wedges which was a bit spicy and tasted like yam, and the macaroni salad (along with the 4 biscuits).

The food wait time was a bit slow, ~30 minutes, but the restaurant was pretty full!

Atmosphere: 🌅
We dined in the patio section which had a full 180 view of the harbour and got to enjoy the sunset. It was nicely heated and had some cute fairy lights.

The restaurant had two entrances - the one from the street required going down 3 flights of stairs, and another flight down for the women’s washroom.”

“Thank you to the Team at Blackfish Pub, my husband and I had a great lunch there yesterday, Our server was charming and helpful in making our choices and when we mentioned we had a ferry to catch and short on time, her response ...no worries I can put a rush on it. We did indeed arrive at the ferry terminal in good time , unfortunately however without my iPhone. I called Blackfish Pub and again a charming individual answered my call, yes they had my phone and instantly, once I mentioned but we were inside the gates , he knew there was no way for us to turn around and pick up the phone. Perhaps not the first time this had happened, but he had the solution immediately, he would call a cab to the Pub , give the driver my phone who would meet me where walk on passengers are dropped off and that is absolutely what happened ! Service beyond expectations on all counts , yet having been up the Sunshine Coast for years , not surprised , there is something so very special about those who call the Sunshine Coast home.”

My daughter took me there for my birthday dinner tonight, and I’m honestly kicking myself for not going sooner. Everything from the absolutely flawless food to the out-of-this-world service, was exceptional. I’m talking “tell everyone you know” kind of exceptional. We ordered the seafood platter, a few tapas, drinks, and dessert ... and it was all chef’s kiss. Generous portions, incredible flavour, and super reasonable prices. But what truly set the night apart was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Every single person we interacted with was genuinely warm, thoughtful, professional and attentive. Can’t wait to go back! ❤️”
