“I've been going to Persephone every time I visit the sunshine coast for about a decade now, and regularly call it the happiest place on earth. I will always suggest it as a Sunshine Coast destination. But I have never been tempted to review it until this past weekend though!I ended up chatting with an employee there, Lisa, as she was making the rounds and it turns out we both have the same obscure breed of dog. Neat! She was friendly and engaging and made me Mom who was visiting from out of province feel right at home.BUT way way beyond that! She ended up finding my wallet that I had dropped and remembered that were were on our way to the ferry back to the city. Lisa drove down to the terminal, walked up to where the passengers load and waved us down right before we got on the ferry to give me my wallet back. She is an absolute ANGEL. I screamed it at the ferry terminal, but in case you didn't hear - THANK YOU LISA!Great beer, great food, and great people.“
“We had, a brisket sandwich, a smoked salmon sandwich and an incredible mango and frangipane tartlet. Both sandwiches were fantastic, but the tartlet was extraordinary. The service was also extremely friendly and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck and eating this yummy meal.“
“Great little place. Cozy, with very friendly service and good drip coffee. And so nice to find a place with great music for a change (soft jazz...think Ella, Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, etc.). Croissants were delicious, and I'm fussy about my pastry! We've been to most of the coffee shops in Gibsons (we live here) and this is at the top of our list.“
“Cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Great pretzels to try. a nice place to hang out with friends, drink, and have a snack. A very nice outdoor patio That I suggest you try a variety of beers But Other drinks are also available like wine. They also have meals and food if you want. to eat something rather than having a snack.Parking: A little hard to find parking as it gets busy at nightsKid-friendliness: Considering it's a brewery, I wouldn't suggest bringing kids as it's an adult space and probably need to be of legal drinking age to enter“
“Was a little disappointed with the vegan options. The vegan version of the breakfast sandwich didn’t have too much flavor. It doesn’t include any cheese (which I assumed it would since the normal version does), it’s only Just Egg, veggie sausage (or mushrooms), and toasted garlic bread. It’s missing an additional sauce or cheese. And the veggie sausage is mediocre, I’d probably opt for mushrooms or something else, the veggie sausage is a bit bland, and it’s soft and squishy. Otherwise love this place and the spirit of it!“
