“=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE This review based on a single evening visit to get takeout; it was just fine and presumably would work out well if one ordered a full pizza ahead of time! You're not really eating in here tho if this makes your destination list.=== 2. FOOD I happened to drop in because the funny guy in the toddler car seat wanted some pizza, and this Freshslice thankfully sells pre-made pies by the slice - a lot better when dealing with picky toddler food preferences :)The slices were good-sized; if you come at the right time or wait, you can get lucky and get fresh slices (pun intended :)) - otherwise, it's anyone's guess as to how fresh your pieces would be. I think the slices we got on this day were alright - neither spectacular but not bad either.=== 3. SERVICE For a takeout place, it was just fine - service was good for that you need.=== 4. ENVIRONMENT For all intents and purposes It's a food court stall inside it's own shop, so you're not here to eat in nor here for the environment. It's small-ish and clean and brightly-lit. If you wandered in with a wheelchair or baby stroller, you would be just fine. Parking is limited to the street out front or around the block.“
“We had such an excellent meal here! Some of the best Thai food I've had since moving to the Vancouver area!! The phad Thai was incredible and the duck curry or Geang Phed Ped-Yang(Barbecue duck in a red curry sauce with fresh Thai basil, cherry tomatoes and pineapple) was phenomenal ? There were a couple bones still left on the duck meat so be careful when chewing. HIGHLY recommend this place if you want an extremely good authentic Thai cuisine!!! Will be going here for our Thai food from now on ?“
“Their ayce hot pot deal is pretty good, priced at $39.99 per person, which includes access to the hot food bar, sauce bar, and a selection of soup bases.Their menu is extensive, offering a wide range of options including seafood, chicken, pork, beef, and lamb. I was happy to spot raw eggs—I thoroughly enjoyed finishing my hot pot with a delicious egg drop soup. The other finds that made me happy was the popping boba at their jelly station.Overall, I highly recommend this spot!“
“Shed Cafe and Pizza in West Vancouver offers an acceptable dining experience with a focus on its truly stunning atmosphere and views. The food here is decent, providing a range of Pizza that adequately meet expectations without necessarily exceeding them. The service, while not exceptional, is competent, maintaining a balance that doesn't detract from the overall experience. However, the real highlight of Shed Cafe and Pizza is undoubtedly its environment. Located in a prime spot, the cafe boasts breathtaking views that can elevate any meal. The charming atmosphere makes it a great choice for those looking to enjoy a meal in a visually appealing setting. Perfect for a casual outing, this spot is worth visiting for anyone in the area looking to enjoy a scenic view alongside their meal.“
“I cannot express how grateful I am for having found this wonderful restaurant. I walked past after a day at Ambleside beach and was pleasantly surprised to see Bun Cha on the menu, something I have not had since visiting Hanoi many years back. The meal transported me back to that city and I am so thankful to have found Wooden Fish! Other restaurants have tried and it has not been as delicious. I thought I would have to go back to Hanoi in order to eat it again. Will be back very soon!“
“It was my first time eating here. We ordered Pad thai and spring rolls and it was so tasty. There are spicy and non-spicy options for Pad Thai. I tried both and they were delicious!!And spring rolls were also great. The surface was crispy and making an amazing pair with sweet chili sauce!!“
“Small space but very clean.Only 1-2 cats were awake, and the rest were sleeping. Kids found it not as fun as expected due to a lack of response from the cats. I won't recommend it if you are looking for a fun, vibrant spot with cats running around. It's a quiet, calming place with no running.“
“The best pizza ever !!!Ingredients are very fresh and the dough amazing! There is chewy and outside is crunchy I’m chewy person then I love itAnd the chef’s technique is fascinating!I was gazing at the flying pizza long time heheI’ll come back definitely!!“
“Haven’t had this type of food before. It was tasty. The beef kebab came first but it took one hour to get the beef bun, which was filled with juice and firm ground meat. I enjoyed dipping it in the pepper. They were fairly busy and many people were first time visitors, not knowing where to order. Service was excellent, great people.“
“Great service and atmosphere. Loved the food we got and how many thoughtful AND delicious vegetarian options. Crispy spring rolls were excellent, okra skewer was a darkhorse and you can never go wrong with a plate of fried noodles. Thanks Anh and Chi!“
“They have Swiss water processed decaf. Service is extremely kind, patient (with my several questions), efficient, and friendly! Latte with half soy half almond milk and some cinnamon was amazing and very well priced. I appreciated that they had some outdoor seating on this sunny day.“
“The best food I have had dining out in years. You must try the coconut Shrimp. They are huge and super tasty!!!! Too many things to list. You will be satisfied with everything on the menu. The staff is also super friendly and service is fast. Definitely a must try!! I am sure you will be a repeat customer. In the middle of my review I took a picture of the coconut shrimp. So good!! A++“
“Beth, the owner is great. She serves the community of False Creek, but also those who are experiencing financial difficulties. There is a donation fridge where you can drop off what you don't need for others to pick up. Local art is shown inside amongst a barrage of oddly, yet interesting mirrors. I go there for the hot chocolate and gingerbread molasses cookies.“
“The free delivery service is really convenient! It’s also particularly good if it’s open until 00.30! I have ordered a lot. My family and I all love ordering when we have guests. The ingredients are non-chemical, so I like it very much (not a professional, but a personal opinion). The delivery clerk is always very kind. I just happened to go to the store today and encountered a mango milk-covered green tea sample and asked for it. It was so generous and delicious! make my day!!!! Thank you ? (I love the fact that there is a parking lot♡I like to order fruit tea and choose sugar-free, which is just right for me!“
“I was working a conference in the Vancouver Convention Center, so I found it easy to stop by for a quick bite around 8:45am on a Friday. I was surprised to see that there was no other customers around, and there were many tables open and available. I bought the brekkie croissant without the aioli (no Mayo or parsley either!) and a chestnut praline latte (seasonal drink). Both items were ready within 5-10 minutes of ordering. The food and drinks are very picturesque/ definitely instagrammable. While the latte came with very cute latte art but it wasn't anything to write home about taste wise. I couldn't taste any chestnut praline notes at all - just tasted like a regular latte. The sandwich had VERY fluffy eggs, definitely on the wetter side, and the croissant was nice and toasty / flaky. Through no fault of the staff, I got kind of sick of the sandwich about half way through eating it. The eggs and cheese were definitely egging and cheesing. Price wise it's definitely not inexpensive but it's also not outrageous. It seems to be on par with other establishments in the general vicinity.“
“Beautiful place, we had a girls get together. Lovely winter ambience . Good food, yummy I should say. We sat in dome, lovely place to be with girls. Good place to be with family too… their dessert were too good….Need to visit one more time to experience spring ambienceParking: We got reserved parking“
“Love R&B for the atmosphere and awesome beer, have been coming to this place for ages. This is just a warning - THE CITY IS RUTHLESS ON PARKING TICKETS HERE! There is only 1hr parking on the entire block, so don't stay for more than a pizza and a pint! Seems unfortunate for the business.“
“Pizza was full of fillings. Minced meat in pizza was a first for me and it wasn’t bad. Mozzarella sticks were a big no. I couldn’t taste cheese in it. Flour was so overpowering the cheese and it ruined the dish. Overall experience was good. Washroom was also clean.“
“Love this place. Lived literally across the street for so many years and been here so many times on the patio with beers ? and we love their Seafood club sandwich and dirty fries ? omg!! I’ll grab pics next time as it’s our favourite in the area and have ordered it at least 10 times. Thanks guys!! Great place to go “
“These guys are awesome.very friendly and cheerful.excellent costumer service.i ordered 3 different tips of pizza, and all were very delicious.the size of their slices are huge as well.definitely will go back and recommend them as well.good job guys ?“
“I stopped in to get a sandwich and they were about to close for the day... the staff was so polite and kind, still served me, and made an excellent veggie sandwich on a croissant. Delicious, fresh food, clean restaurant and lovely service! Will return for sure. A hidden gem.“
“Best Halibute Fish and Chips you can get. The resteraunt is very crowded with locals since it is a place worth returning to. The Fisherman's Warf area; where it is located, is a great place to get fresh fish. The views of downtown Vancouver and water are amazing. The only possible issue is that all dining is outdoors and is perfect if the weather is good. Since no covered eating area can be a problem in the rain. This is a must try place when in Vancouver, but I would recommend checking the weather 1st.“
“I highly recommend the lunch set. It changes everyday, but our meal came with braised pork and egg, matcha soba, tamagoyaki, salad, and soup. It comes with one onigiri at standard price. The braised pork was okay but the matcha soba was my favorite.By themselves, the onigiri are a good size, though one isn’t fully filling. We got the chicken karaage, grilled unagi and egg yolk, and salmon and ikura. Each of them are filled very generously, though the unagi could use more sauce. The Takenaka soda is comprised of butterfly pea earl grey tea and calpico. I wouldn’t call it a soda, more like a virgin cocktail. It’s not super sweet and has an eccentric taste.“
“I’ve been twice now and have had a fantastic experience both times. Perfectly poached eggs both times, which just makes my day! Beautiful, creamy, whipped ricotta along with mortadella and root veg. An absolutely satisfying light breakfast. And great oat milk cortado as well.“
“Omg these people are lovely. I came in my lunch time and they were busy but still managed to speak to every customer with a nice smile on their face ❤️ And food was amazing, I never found good vegetarian tacos anywhere and it was delicious. 100% recommended , they totally love what they do and appreciate their customers ❤️❤️ Deserve more love and business ?“
“Delicious Cheesecake. At first I asked for the best item they sold and was given a tasty savory pastry with feta and spinach wrapped inside. This was good, but as I was finishing I was told the cheesecake was best and I would agree. Friendly Staff even though the person I talked with knew little about baking. Decent Prices. Clean Establishment. Overall I’d definitely swing by for more cheesecake :)“
“49th Parallel is one of my favourite coffee shops located in Kitsilano. The coffee tastes delicious, they carry tons of snack options. The staff is super friendly. They’re busy all the time (some times do expect line up)Keep it up guys!Highly recommended.“
“Solid spot! I visited recently and had a stout which was very tasty. Fortunately / unfortunately there wasn't an IPA on at the time so I was "forced" to try the stout and it was great! No complaints! Definitely a nice, sort of hidden spot with checking out if you're in the area.“
“Before covid I'd go to their truck down by Canada Place regularly but haven't been downtown much since. So when I googled for a new Mexican place I'd noticed at Fraser and 46th Ave recently Arturos also came up on Fraser St tucked away and hidden down in the industrial area, I'm told by the awesome worker there that it's their commissary kitchen for the truck, so it's not really a restaurant but I did notice a communal table with 6 chairs but not sure if that's available to eat there. Had the mucho macho soup, Mexican taco with carnitas and the Mrs. had a chicken burrito. It was all excellent and now the only problem is having this place so close to home with such affordable delicious food we may be in danger of ordering too often ?♂️ good problem to have!!“
“Having dined at Pho & Roll for the first time, I'm thrilled to say it was a delightful experience. From the inviting ambiance to the flavorful Pho and friendly service, everything was superb. Definitely try their Fresh Spring Rolls as well. Looking forward to my next visit!“
“Sylvia Hotel in Vancouver stands as the epitome of excellence in hospitality. Boasting the undeniable best location for tourists, this gem offers not only affordability but also an unparalleled experience. Situated in the heart of the city, its proximity to key attractions makes exploration effortless. My stay at Sylvia Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The affordability combined with the prime location made it the obvious choice for my Vancouver visit. The hotel's charm and character, coupled with its impeccable service, left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I stepped foot in Sylvia Hotel, I knew I had found my Vancouver haven. The cozy ambiance and stunning views added to the allure of this remarkable establishment. It's no wonder I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when I return to this beautiful city. In summary, Sylvia Hotel earns a perfect 10/10 rating in my book. Its unbeatable location, affordability, and unmatched hospitality make it the premier destination for travelers seeking an unforgettable Vancouver experience.“
“We absolutely adore our local brewery here in Kits! We knew that when planning my husband's milestone bday that we wanted to host it at Brewing August for numerous reasons. One, it has a great vibe and they brew delicious beer. Two, it is local to us, and we are all about supporting our local businesses. Three, the owners and staff are wonderful, and extremely accommodating. They even let us rename some of the beers for the evening! We were able to bring in our own food, and as a surprise, a Mariachi band. They have a great variety of beers on tap, mead, and even have cans of wine that are really good. For those that don't want any alcohol, they carry artisanal sodas and non alcoholic beer.“
“I recently visited Gong Cha bubble tea on W Pender St and had a wonderful experience. The store had a cozy and inviting atmosphere with cute decor. The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain their menu and make recommendations. I ordered a classic bubble milk tea, and it was delicious! The tea was perfectly brewed, and the boba was cooked just right. The pricing was reasonable for the size and quality of the drink. Overall, I highly recommend and can't wait to go back and try more of their drinks.“
“I recently dined at Milano Casa with a group of friends. Food was excellent as well as the service. My favourite dish here is Veal Chops. The manager wasn't not only friendly but also knowledgeable about wine. When we ask for recommendations, he guided us through the menu and suggesting wine pairing for our dishes. Overall, great service, great food. It's a place where you can unwind and enjoy delicious food.“
“I came in here randomly because I had an hour to kill before a meeting. The staff was so sweet. I got hot wings. Amazing. And a beer. Which was cold and crisp. They made sure I had everything I needed and were so kind. If you're around this area..go in. It's so great :) thanks “
“A great little hole in the wall serving up delicious tacos, burritos and more alongside lots of funky beverages. Definitely a little out of sight but worth the short walk down Blood Alley. Our server Kirsten was lots of fun and the place has a cool vibe and good tunes!“
“We had just finished our yoga class across the street and were looking for a place to grab a quick bite. Caveman Cafe was pretty empty so we decided to go there. They had a lot of pastries and cold sandwiches to go as well as a mediterranean brunch/lunch menu. The space is pretty big and our servers were very friendly! Best part about this cafe was their pricing, we got their shakshuka brunch for $12.99!! Their risotto meal was $9.99! It is very difficult to find such good brunch pricing given the portion size. Their food was subpar overall. I really liked their shakshuka and empress kabobs which came with rice, grilled tomato, and pickled onions. Their risotto was rather bland and their mocha iced coffee felt like water. I think their mediterranean food is pretty good in general! Service was good overall, pretty fast! I would come here again to try some of their other mediterranean menu options :)“
“Their cakes are super adorable I saw someone share their afternoon tea set on instagram, but when I came I realized the set and some other cakes need reservations in advance, you can call them or add them on WeChat. We ordered the coffee flavor, rose flavor and the bear one which is dark chocolate flavor. Our favorite is the coffee bean one as it has this strong coffee flavor but at the same time the taste is balanced and doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed. The bear one looks cute but the hard chocolate shell was a bit too hard to break. And the rose one is too creamy in my opinion, it’s hard to finish one without some drinks. Overall, will recommend this store to anyone that’s interested in exploring new dessert spot in Vancouver!“
“Cozy coffee shop with ample seating. Free Wi-Fi for up to an hour for guests. Super friendly staff! Quick service! Great prices!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian baked goods and some sandwiches/wraps are usually available.Parking: There are a few spots directly in front of the business, otherwise parking can usually be found easily on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and some seating with wheelchair accessibility.“
“Love this place for many reasons, it's dog friendly, has great beer, and took my allergies very seriously when I asked about the food ingredients. One of our go to places for a burger. Miss the onion rings, wish they would put them back on the menu.“
“This place is awesome! Kristina is so sweet and attentive and provides outstanding hospitality! I came here to treat my mother to a birthday treat and Kristina gave it on the house. Great quality gelato and service! I highly recommend this place!“
“My wife and I went to this absolute gem of a place today for lunch today. It is like a 25 seater or so restaurant. We ordered Linguine Pesto, Veg Lasagna and Tiramisu. Everything was perfect. I requested for some customization to the Pesto, it was made just the way I requested. The pesto is obviously home made, one could feel it. The Veg Lasagna was perfect, so was the Tiramisu. During our previous visit we had a vegetarian Pizza - remember it being just right. The service is personal and top notch - the husband and wife pair who run the place are kind folks who are clearly passionate about authentic food and exceptional service. This is now our go to place for Italian food in North Van.Vegetarian options: They have a ton of options both in Pizzas and in Pastas. Probably, the widest selection of options for vegetarians in any Italian restaurant in Greater Vancouver region.“
“The food is delicious. The broth is complex and flavourful, albeit it misses the expected lower notes of gyokai. The egg was boiled at too high a temperature a bit; overcooked yolk on the edges and still runny in the middle. The marinade for it is pleasantly sweet though. The other toppings are average, and the noodles had good bite to them. Overall an enjoyable bowl, but pricier than average in the city. The service staff are very enthusiastic, though they will clear your area complete with wiping it down the minute you put your spoon down. It gives the impression they want you to eat and get out asap. Loud, bar like atmosphere and seating, not conducive to conversation.“
“Nice to have variety of Indian breakfast at downtown. We ordered delivery, Idli sambar Vada sambar idli and vada was packed soaked in sambar / soggy. It could have been better to pack Sambhar separately.Edit: sorry didn’t quite find differences with respect to serving pattern. However as suggestion - for delivery order (since it involve delivery time) - its better to pack sambar separate from Idli / Vada to avoid it getting soggy.“
“I got the ‘Chocolate Nutter’ smoothie with banana, dates, nuts, cacao etc. It was delicious and you could taste the high quality ingredients. Quite pricey but it filled me up for the morning.Place was empty, they could put some good music on for more atmosphere and staff could be a little bit more upbeat, they seemed very down.Overall, I’d recommend this place.“
“For Kelowna... What a nice restaurant dining experience tonight at Bin 4 to share! Best fries in Kelowna Very good food Nice specials Lots of variety extra offers Great tunes! Exceptional service Nice company with the gf after her work My 2nd time ever only so far but obviously will return 5.5 of 5 stars!!“
“Very tasty boba, and quite a wide range of menu options! Their price is on the higher side of things, but their taste is quite worth it. It is in a corner in the international food court, a bit sketchy, but that's where all of the good food is tbh. I highly recommend their four season milk tea :)Parking: Paid parking nearby“
“P49 is one of our most frequently visited breweries, and I'm glad to see them hosting more events lately. We had a great time at music bingo last night, and Sam, one of the managers went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable time!“
“I’ve been there twice now and I’ve tried both the lemon bar and the carrot cake.Honestly better than I thought it would be! I usually hate healthier desserts because of their texture/weird sweetness but these were pretty good! Doesn’t taste exactly like the normal versions but I don’t think anyone expects them to. Greatly prefer the lemon bar over the cake.“
“Found this place when we were looking for breakfast spots near Horseshoe Bay.The Isetta Breakfast was really nice, potatoes were delicious but the sourdough toast pieces were pretty small, and a little too hard.I love croissants and the pain au chocolate here did not disappoint!“
