“We live in North Shore and are regulars at Wooden Fish and this is our first time at Pho and Roll. Very impressed with their food and atmosphere. More upscale than Wooden Fish but both are excellent. We were worried about parking but had no issues finding a spot right away on a side street (lots of parking on the side streets and parking lots as well). We will return.“

“I highly recommend Hunnybee! Wonderful breakfast and brunch options served in a cozy space with an informal and hip vibe. Vancouver’s best breakfast sandwiches and possibly the world’s best ricotta pancakes - they’re to die for. And in the evenings Hunnybee puts on taco and wood fired-pizza nights with a lively atmosphere. Small wonder that the place has a dedicated customer base.“

“Good tasting beer, but even for local brewery the price is too high in my opinion just to add heavy fruit. Overall the beer was good, foods were just mediocre at best, and didn't expect actually potato chips, when they wrote chips that come with hotdogs (was thinking fries like fish and chips :p) It was just okay experience but the atmosphere was really pretty so gonna bump up the rating a bit“

“Cute hidden gem in gastown with lovely staff! We had the iced hojicha and a pesto udon. Perfect cafe for a snack and beverage near Chinatown when visiting Vancouver. They have a summer drink menu that includes the popular matcha strawberry drink that was also delicious.“

“One of my favourite milk tea places in Vancouver. The quality of the tea is good, plus if you get the fruit drinks, they use real fruit. Boba quality is good too. This time I got brown sugar milk tea, lychee jade tea with aloe, and fruit tea. As always, this place never failed me. Dibs: buy 3 drinks, you get free playing cards.

Calling all night owl boba and fruit tea lovers! There’s a spot for us in town that’s open til midnight to satisfy those cravings!

There is a donation fridge where you can drop off what you don't need for others to pick up. Local art is shown inside amongst a barrage of oddly, yet interesting mirrors. I go there for the hot chocolate and gingerbread molasses cookies.“

“Ordered an iced americano and the three-cup chicken to go. Service was amazing, the gentleman behind the counter had such uplifting positivity- it really brightened my mood. After a short wait with my coffee, my meal was ready and the staff member behind the counter informed me that they still had many baked goods from this morning left over (it was 1:30pm) he asked if I would like anything. The doughnuts looked quite tasty so I said that I would have one of those and took out my wallet. He said he wanted to give it to me for free and would not accept my money. I felt bad as I had not tipped for take out. I will definitely return and tip next time to return the favour. Amazing establishment would give it more than five stars if it were possible.“

“I travelled 2500 miles to come to Vancouver for the Taylor Swift show and this bar welcomed me with open arms. I was able to park my car there for the duration of the show. The two employees behind the bar were fantastic. They were kind, welcoming, funny and even Swifties! I gave them both a friendship bracelet and they gave me walking directions to BC Place. It was about a 20-25 minute walk and I felt safe the entire time.
While there I had a drink and a burger and both were great!“

I love this place. They have been excellent hosting events for fundraisers, parties and more. But the other night put the sourest of tastes in our mouths.

There were multiple tables still sitting in the bar, and one server was insistent that our group, having just come from the sauna experience (also incredible), "skidaddle". She was drunk herself, and one of the rudest people I have ever met in the industry.“

“I don’t write a lot of google reviews but what I just experienced needs some recognition. I just moved into the mount pleasant hood and I was told by many to check out The Paper Crane for my morning coffee. And that’s exactly what I did this morning, and I had a spiritual experience. Not only were the people working there so nice, they welcomed me into the hood and like genuinely connected with me. But their product is also amazing. I’m writing this review now as I sit outside , I just sipped my iced americano and had to close my eyes for a second. Here’s the thing, I drink an iced americano with oat milk every day, that’s just the move for me. So I’ve had a lot of them. But this one just was so amazing. It was smooth and chocolaty, I find sometimes with iced espresso drinks they can be acidic but not at this spot. Maybe it’s the coffee beans, maybe it’s the dope people making the coffee, whatever it was, it was delicious. ALSO, I got the Turkey havarti croissant , and ate it like a toddler outside , I couldn’t help myself it was just so good. I wish I took photos of the croissant but I just ate it too fast! All this to say, if you come to mount pleasant and you need an amazing cup of coffee, you gotta come to The Paper Crane.“

“Actually went to a place across the street first but it was so busy that after sitting down and being ignored, I came here. The food options are wraps and baked goods but if that’s all you need, you are set. I had a Vietnamese iced coffee and it was great. I often find they are bitter or too sweet but this one was great. They also use rice straws which should be the gold standard vs paper ones that turns to sludge part way through. The straw maintained its use the whole time (weird that this even needs mentioning but here we are).

I ordered a wrap with cheese, egg and spicy sausage, it was also lovely.

“Sushi was really fresh. Service was amazing. Felt like you were being cared for by a nice relative. I liked the green tea thermos right at the table for convenience. We had the rainbow roll, dynamite roll and assorted tempura. All were amazing. Lots of tobiko on the rainbow roll. Tempura was varied including long mushrooms which were delicious and new to me. The restaurant wasn’t super clean and needs an overhaul but lots of sushi places are like this and in terms of the tables and chairs and eating utensils all those things were clean. I would come here again!“
