“We live in North Shore and are regulars at Wooden Fish and this is our first time at Pho and Roll. Very impressed with their food and atmosphere. More upscale than Wooden Fish but both are excellent. We were worried about parking but had no issues finding a spot right away on a side street (lots of parking on the side streets and parking lots as well). We will return.“

“I highly recommend Hunnybee! Wonderful breakfast and brunch options served in a cozy space with an informal and hip vibe. Vancouver’s best breakfast sandwiches and possibly the world’s best ricotta pancakes - they’re to die for. And in the evenings Hunnybee puts on taco and wood fired-pizza nights with a lively atmosphere. Small wonder that the place has a dedicated customer base.“

“Recommended for lunch from Monday to Friday, the beef is undisputed yyds for 2.99 a serving. The flow of people is less than that of RMD, but the quality is not bad at all. The waiter, Miss Luna, is very attentive. She is the best in both Haidilao. The service and food are very good, but the parking space is a bit small.“
“Good tasting beer, but even for local brewery the price is too high in my opinion just to add heavy fruit. Overall the beer was good, foods were just mediocre at best, and didn't expect actually potato chips, when they wrote chips that come with hotdogs (was thinking fries like fish and chips :p) It was just okay experience but the atmosphere was really pretty so gonna bump up the rating a bit“

“We've done takeout a number of times and we have been extremely happy with all our orders. Our usuals are salmon sashimi, chopped scallop roll, dynamite roll, and salmon maki. Sashimi is always fresh, firm, and tender (never those tough scrap pieces). Rice is really good and never mushy nor dry.
Really good value for the quality.
Staff are super friendly. Ordering and picking up are convenient.“

“Small cafe that was really nice! Ordered their beef jamaican patty which was good. Wanted their sandwich but they were pre-made, all with cheese. Hard for someone lactose intolerant. I liked their dessert as well! Small place and had limited seating“

“One of my favourite milk tea places in Vancouver. The quality of the tea is good, plus if you get the fruit drinks, they use real fruit. Boba quality is good too. This time I got brown sugar milk tea, lychee jade tea with aloe, and fruit tea. As always, this place never failed me. Dibs: buy 3 drinks, you get free playing cards.
Calling all night owl boba and fruit tea lovers! There’s a spot for us in town that’s open til midnight to satisfy those cravings!
Have a FUN Chun How!“

“Aiyaohno Cafe is a cosy spot situated in the foyer of a building. I ordered the dumpling bowl (from a previous reviewers photo) and the owners were happy to make it, even though it’s no longer listed on the menu. Made with homemade dumplings, fresh veg, soft tofu and purple rice, the bowl was incredibly tasty and filling. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-15“

“I love this restaurant and have been coming here for years for breakfast, lunch or dinners. Food and service is good and most important is atmosphere is lively with music in background and euro decor. I was born in Argentina and reminds me of the many typical cozy European cafes there. 😀🌸“

“Ordered an iced americano and the three-cup chicken to go. Service was amazing, the gentleman behind the counter had such uplifting positivity- it really brightened my mood. After a short wait with my coffee, my meal was ready and the staff member behind the counter informed me that they still had many baked goods from this morning left over (it was 1:30pm) he asked if I would like anything. The doughnuts looked quite tasty so I said that I would have one of those and took out my wallet. He said he wanted to give it to me for free and would not accept my money. I felt bad as I had not tipped for take out. I will definitely return and tip next time to return the favour. Amazing establishment would give it more than five stars if it were possible.“

“Beth is one of the kindest people I know, and has created a great community hub. She initiated setting up Leg-In-Boot Square live music, with picnic tables and patio umbrellas. She does many good works, and helps many people. AND her baking & cooking are fabulous. The view is great, too.“

“The ingredients are exceptionally fresh, and breakfast is reasonably priced at just $13. Unlimited miso soup refills are a nice touch. The service meets the high standards you'd expect in Japan. Plenty of parking is available, and there was no lineup when I visited before 11 a.m.“

“Came for the first time on St. Patrick’s Day. I ordered ramen and requested to remove veggies. I tried Yokohama Iekei Ramen & Karaage on my first time here. I ended up eating karaage without dipping the tartar sauce because it was better without any sauce.“

“The location of Ignite is perfect, right outside is a quaint little park.
The staff were friendly and have good recommendations for portion sizes.
The pizza was good, we tried the pesto one with ricotta and loved how light it was. The ricotta was refreshing too. We also had the garlic bread which was disappointing though. It was more of a lightly garliced pizza than cheesy garlic bread.“

“Steamworks has a more dinner-like atmosphere compared to a typical bar, which is nice if you're looking for a sit-down spot with a good vibe. The drinks are definitely the highlight—tons of options, and they’re always great. The food, on the other hand, is pretty average for the price. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t quite match up to what you’re paying. Still, it’s a solid spot if you’re in the area and want good drinks in a more relaxed setting.“

“I travelled 2500 miles to come to Vancouver for the Taylor Swift show and this bar welcomed me with open arms. I was able to park my car there for the duration of the show. The two employees behind the bar were fantastic. They were kind, welcoming, funny and even Swifties! I gave them both a friendship bracelet and they gave me walking directions to BC Place. It was about a 20-25 minute walk and I felt safe the entire time.
While there I had a drink and a burger and both were great!“

“**Edit: To the owner, thank you for addressing my comment. I really like Container Brewing. **
I love this place. They have been excellent hosting events for fundraisers, parties and more. But the other night put the sourest of tastes in our mouths.
There were multiple tables still sitting in the bar, and one server was insistent that our group, having just come from the sauna experience (also incredible), "skidaddle". She was drunk herself, and one of the rudest people I have ever met in the industry.“
“Great atmosphere and staff. And delicious beer 🍺“

“If Poseidon himself fancied a fry up, this is where he’d come. Tucked along the water’s edge, with Vancouver’s skyline shimmering a mile away, lies a humble little haven of golden-battered glory. No white tablecloths, no pretense, just picnic benches, sea breeze, and food that tastes like it was caught with love and fried with joy.
This place isn’t just a fish and chip joint. It’s a pilgrimage site for the devoutly hungry. The fish? Flaky, fresh, and kissed with the kind of crispiness that audibly crackles. The chips? Chunky enough to cause minor debates at the table over who got more! Everything about this place screams simplicity, until the flavour hits you like a maritime epiphany.
You sit there, the scent of salt and lemon in the air, seagulls heckling from above, and you think, “I’d drive two hours in traffic and park uphill both ways just to eat here again.”
It’s fish and chips with a side of skyline. A love letter to the coast, wrapped in parchment paper. Bring your friends, bring your appetite, and for heaven’s sake, bring your camera, the view alone is worth the trip, but the food will have you writing poetry.
In a world full of overcomplicated menus and foamy sauces, this spot is a reminder that when you get the fish this fresh, all you need is heat, salt, and a view.“

“Charles, Jason, Aaron, and Jas literally make my whole experience. I love these kiddos to death!
They keep the place spunky. The new manager Colin keeps the ship running smoothly. The supporting cast for honourable mention, Hunter for being the fastest learning new hire in the west. Brandon for coming in hot and keeping the heat.“

“I just moved to the area and discovered this gem. Johnny the bartender is very personable, nice, and helpful with any questions you have about the menu and restaurant. The entire staff is great. I’ve only met a few of them but all great personalities. I suggest this place if you’re in town and want a good sandwich or snack at a good price. I had their brisket puff pastry and it was moist, flakey and delicious- and cheap!!! Unheard of in Vancouver.
The ambiance is awesome, even my high strung self could relax a bit.
The beer was pretty good too! Definitely come here.“
