“BaHar you kidding me? This was so good. We got the turkey sandwich, pistachio baklava, and a frangipane brioche bun and everything was a huge hit. The bread they use for the sandwich is incredible (make sure to get it heated up, it's 10/10 crispy). Baklava tastes like the best pistachio and cardamom, and the frangipane brioche is not too sweet, but perfectly soft! Plus the staff were so kind! Will absolutely be coming back.“

“Had a fantastic lunch here today. Ate the Avocado Pesto Tomato Grilled Cheese -– Mozzarella, Avocado, Tomato, Pesto on 3 Slices of Toasted Bread w/ Garlic Butter. I added a medium hot sauce but probably could have chosen a spicier hot sauce since the avocado 🥑, tomato 🍅, and cheese 🧀 were good counterweights to the hot sauce. Found a great choice of lots of sodas. I had the Wildwonder Lemon Ginger soda.“

“We stopped in to try the Everything Bowl. It did NOT disappoint. The flavors were amazing with beef, bok chop, wontons, and the most perfect noodles! We sat outside in the sun. Devin, the owner, was so nice and even told us some other favorite food places of his to try later in the day.“

The owners are some of the nicest people you’ll meet in downtown Vancouver; they’re warm, welcoming, and clearly put a lot of heart into everything they make. Highly recommend!“

“This is my go-to place to get food on my lunch break! They have a great selection of vegetarian food and the food doesn’t feel heavy or greasy (even the samosas— where other places I find taste like oil). I like that there’s options to add extras or change up the bread for the sandwiches if I’m extra hungry that day. Not sure if he’s the owner? but the guy working is always so friendly :)“

I contacted Ruka Coffee and explained what happened, and the owner/staff member went above and beyond by personally delivering my order to me, even though I was 15–20 minutes away. He even remade my coffee! I was honestly so impressed by their kindness and incredible customer service. I really thought I’d have to forgo my order, so I truly appreciate them going out of their way to help. Amazing service and such a thoughtful team! “I tried the Hojicha Banana, and it was pretty good. It had a generous layer of banana puree at the bottom, topped with hojicha milk. The banana flavor was quite strong and almost completely overpowered the hojicha, so I'd love to see a better balance between the two.
They also had some ice cream and other desserts that looked really good. I'd definitely come back to try them next time.“

“I came here with high expectations after seeing so many great reviews. Unfortunately, the matcha strawberry drink I had today didn’t have a very strong matcha or strawberry flavor, and mostly tasted like milk to me. The sandwich was also fairly average in terms of flavor. Of course, everyone has different tastes, so perhaps this place just wasn’t quite for me. The service was very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated!“

“Zeeka was amazing for providing our staff with desserts yesterday! Our staff were so happy with all the different tarts, pies and cheesecake! I should've bought more. Especially the pistachio tart! We ordered the biscoff and strawberry cheesecakes and the pistachio tart and apple pie. I heard nothing but great things. You did an amazing job. Great customer service, super easy to get a hold of, extremely responsive and very well-priced. Thank you again. I'm sure we will order more from your cafe and bakery in the future!“

“I'd just left Pacific Central train station. When I asked my phone for 'great coffee near me' it offered me places light years away, so I headed for the red awnings and friendly yellow chairs accross the street. I was glad I did! Great flat white and gorgeous warmed cinnamon roll. It's a smaller place but just perfect for coffees, baked goods, lunches, take outs and more. There's some gorgeous looking desserts too! They also do great combo deals (eg. Sandwich/Protein Shake plus a swiss roll, all for $15.99) and my server at the counter couldn't have been better; friendly, efficient and personable.

“Went here for a morning coffee & Matcha Latte this morning. They had a great selection of bagged coffee from different roasteries which was great to see such selection! I picked up a bag of beans and got a delicious Thom Bargen Tolima drip coffee that hit the spot!
Went 1/2 sweet on my wife’s matcha which was perfect! I really appreciated the options the barista provided for the drinks as well! Great spot, worth checking out!“

“Trust the reviews! First time here and coffee was great. Pretty picky (pallet is my favourite) about coffee, got an iced latte and it was strong with my preferred notes! Coffee is chocolate notes instead of acidic fruit or floral. Only gripe is they dont have many dairy options (skim, 2%) BUT its a small cafe so I get it and they have plethora of milk alternatives. Latte is higher than average but again, small business :)“

“I was looking for breakfast spot to meet a friend early in downtown Vancouver at 7 AM and came across this café in Coal Harbour. I enjoyed A nice breakfast plate and a latte. It was pretty busy and the tables were placed relatively close together. I do feel it was a nice place to go for an early coffee.“

“Highly recommend! Such a cozy place. Every visit is a great experience. The staff is welcoming, and the coffee is great. They have amazing sandwiches, scones, cookies, and salads, and during the colder months, they also offer soup, which is always a nice treat. I also love their lemon cake, although I preferred it when it was a plain lemon cake without the raspberries. It's still delicious, but I miss the original version. A wonderful spot for a quick lunch, coffee, or a sweet treat!“

“My wife works at VGH and often goes to Deja Brew for lunch, so today my son and I decided to join her. We’re so glad we did!
The food was really good and tasted fresh. My son absolutely loved the chicken sandwich, and the tomato soup was delicious. Everything was made fresh, and you could definitely taste the quality. The coffee was also freshly brewed and tasted great.
Overall, we had a really nice experience. I’d definitely recommend Deja Brew if you’re looking for a great lunch spot! ☕🥪“
