“If you’re not sure what to order, I highly recommend the chocolate hazelnut with hazelnut cream. It was rich, smooth, and well balanced without being overly sweet. The hazelnut flavour came through nicely, and the cream on top added a great texture that made the drink feel a bit more indulgent.

Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made, and the overall experience felt a step above your typical drink spot.

“I recently visited Butterfly Tea & Dessert and it was honestly such a great experience. The first thing that stood out was the variety of bubble tea they offer — there are so many options, from classic milk teas to ice cream slushes and even more fruit tea options. No matter what you’re into, there’s definitely something for you. The toppings selection is also really good, with different pearls, jellies, and foams that are very cheap to add in your drink. The quality of the drinks were amazing too. The flavors tasted fresh and well-balanced, and the pearls had the perfect chewy texture — not too hard or too soft. You can tell they actually care about making their drinks properly.
The atmosphere was another highlight. I have to mention hoe cute the owner decorated the shop with all the different kpop posters and merch. In addition, shop has a really kpop vibes and posters to take a photo with. Making it a nice place to hang out with friends or just relax. It’s clean, well-decorated, and has a welcoming feel that makes you want to stay longer.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re into bubble tea or just looking for a chill spot to enjoy desserts and drinks.“

“Should've listened to my homie and gotten my passport photos done here to begin with! Went to London Drugs initially because it was closer and was said to be super cheap (about the same), but the photo quality there was dull and lighting really flat. Came here to redo them and 1000% times better, sharper photos and more flattering lighting. He was also really nice and patient with me going through the options. “I got the banana milk with 75% sugar instead of the usual 50%. It was fantastic had a very natural banana flavor which is great I’m not a big fan of artificial flavors so this one was amazing. Im looking forward to trying out their milkshakes next time I go.“

“Cheap and yummy. Pearls are free of charge + you’re able to mix two fruits for free. Service is a little slow, but there’s a lot of seating and you’re able to connect to the McDonald’s wifi next door.

“Had the black tea with pearls. Had strong tea flavors and was quite good. Could really taste the richness of the tea better than most chains. Tea from MACU has better tea richness flavor though. Would come again when convenient. Pearls were right consistency with hint of sweetness, not too sweet not too bland.“

“Had the Fresh Mango Coconut Milk ($8.24 with tax). It was good! You can adjust ice and sugar levels for most drinks, including this one! I didn't want to consume dairy, so you can substitute their coconut pudding for their coco water jelly, a nice hybrid between coconut jelly and grass jelly. It's impossible not to compare the drink to Macu Tea, which I do prefer for their addition of grapefruit & the tea jelly flavour in the King of Mango. However, Cocobay was a good option in the area!

The mango was sweet enough, and the coconut milk was rich. There was only one staff member around 7 pm on a Sunday so there was a short wait as they prepared other orders. Friendly service, however, and she was able to answer menu questions about dietary preferences!“

“Came here last month to get the king of mango smoothie. Something didn't taste right (a bit icy and less mango flavor) compared to the Richmond location. Spoke to the manager and she remade our order and it tasted just as good as I remember. Would highly recommend.“

Okinawa milk tea was yummy!! It was milky & flavourful. My partner ordered a mango green tea and he was surprised there were real pieces of mango in it. The space was clean. We had ample space to study and build gundam hehehehehehehe >:DD“

“The UberEats order pick up was quick and smooth. The peach and lychee slush drinks were ordered with a special note that they be made with 30% sugar. I was not sure if they would accommodate this because other bubble tea places have denied sugar modifications for slushy drinks and smoothies. The gentleman working there immediately gave me the drinks upon seeing me and explained he made them less sweet by only adding a certain type of syrup and no other added sugar. Not quite 30% but definitely less sweet. I appreciated this!“

“I got the mango slushie and it tasted pretty good! They have a good number of seats, and the staff was friendly and communicative. Unfortunately, they can’t make the bingsu dairy free, but they can make their milk teas with oat milk if you ask. The fruit teas and slushies are dairy free, of course.“

“I stopped in eith my child in a stroller on a random Monday with no expectations and was taken aback with how warm and welcoming this shop was. I was only sad that I didn't have time to order any actual food but it all looked and sounded amazing. “I ordered a hot/warm drink today, and I’m very picky about the temperature, so I was a bit worried about it. But the female staff member who helped me today was so kind — she was the only one who actually handed me the drink and asked me to check if the temperature was what I wanted. 🥲

“I ordered my favorite Passion Fruit Green Tea, but the staff accidentally gave me Grapefruit Tea instead. When I mentioned it, he kindly offered to replace it, but I decided to give the Grapefruit Tea a try — and I actually ended up liking it! Sometimes mistakes turn into new favorites.

Since back home I’ve always liked CoCo stores for their fruit teas (I’m not really a fan of milk teas), it’s nice to find a new spot here that also makes great fruit teas. From now on, I’ll be switching between these two — Passion Fruit and Grapefruit😊“

Although bubble tea trends have shifted over time, this place still brings a sense of nostalgia and comfort whenever we visit downtown.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes’ walk from the Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver on Burrard Street. It’s a great spot to grab a drink before or after a movie, especially since they stay open until 11 PM.

Our go-to order is ALWAYS the Brown Sugar Deerioca series 🤎. The pearls are chewy, the brown sugar flavour is rich, and the large size is definitely worth it if you’re walking around downtown all day. 😂

If you’re visiting for the first time, I recommend starting with these options:

We also liked the contemporary decor inside. It feels modern and cozy, making it a nice place to take a quick break from the busy downtown area.

Their teas are flavourful and fresh. What’s unique about them is that they offer lactose free milk for their milk teas as well as a range of toppings. Their pearls are always fresh and their oolong and jasmine tea jellies are delicious too - I can’t find them anywhere else! Their staff are always nice.“

“Had the Pho Satay. Pretty on point. Generous amount of noodles that were cooked al dente. Been to a few pho restaurants where the noodles just break up apart, but not here. Would I have liked more rare beef? Perhaps. Maybe a little bit more basil...I only say this because it is at the $21 total price not including tip. The broth is phenomenal - the peanut spice mixture into the beef broth is top tier! The balance is just perfect. The flavour alone would probably make you think twice about going to a Japanese ramen spot and I'm a die hard ramen fan.

Service is excellent. I should probably add that it's refreshing to know that there is a restaurant that doesn't serve tap water. This place actually has CLEAN PURIFIED WATER. It makes a big difference for me anyways.
