“Vancouver Vegan Scene is LIT 🔥 I had no idea! It’s way better than LA & Portland - fight me 💪 It’s a lovely little family-owned fast food vegan spot with an immaculately charming vibe. The crispy chick’un is made in house and it’s so crispy & fresh! The Szechuan Chick’un Wrap was LEGIT spicy and made me feel alive! 😂 They also have a really good selection of vegan treats - Blue Bunny ice cream sandwiches & lychee chia drinks were delish! I’m definitely going to be coming back here a lot! “February 10th, 2023 was such a tiring day. I had classes at UCW till late and, as a good hungry taurine, I had to eat something delicious to make me feel well. Also, it had to be mandatorily vegan, so I would also keep my mind in peace. While searching for a restaurant with vegan options, I saw this sushi one, called Cofu Pressed Sushi. It was not far from UCW Vancouver House (around 15 minutes by bus) and it would be open till 9:00 PM. So, I decided to go there. I called my husband and we met there. The restaurant is not that large, and they have just a few tables, just the way I like it. But the best, in my opinion, was that it was so clean, fragrant, and decorated with such a good neatness that I felt a cozy mood as soon as I entered. Nevertheless, we were very well welcomed by the server, and he explained the whole menu to us. Besides they former factors I mentioned, the latter is the most important in my opinion. The way I am hosted and treated in any commercial place makes the whole difference in my final perception. I took the Aichi combo from the Omakase Menu. This combo had plant-based tuna (made of jackfruit), tofu, avocado, fresh mix veggie, and a sauce made of vivid beets and spicy mayo. As for my husband, he chose the Ofu combo. It had plant-based salmon (made of carrot and konjac), pumpkin, eggplant, red & yellow bell pepper, and a sauce made of cilantro, cucumber, and wild carrot. As the picture shows, the dish presentations were so beautiful, showing the food as something delicate, that the sushi master really took care of it. Last, but not least, the taste. It was so delicious! Every bite mattered to me. I was hungry, but I took every sushi slowly to feel all flavours and had the best sensory experience. For some the amount of food may look little, but I guarantee it made me fill satisfied. As a whole, I felt really delighted and I wish to return there soon to order the other options.“

“The food was amazing from the looks, taste , texture, quality and the price is reasonable and affordable.
I order Glaze Tofu bowl - the packaging externally was neat, clean, presentable and properly sealed, the noodles was not soggy and the veggies are all fresh and the tofu was evenly coated by the Khoe especial Glaze sauce and I had on the side additional order of crispy spring rolls 2 pcs and dessert of Mango Tapioca . The crispy spring roll still hot, fresh , crispy and crunchy when you bite it and dip it on their special fish sauce the taste and flavour enhance more after dipping it to the sauce and the dessert was ok not too sweet but it will leave the remarkable taste on your taste buds you start eating the dessert you will never forget it and you will need one more order for sure.

“Yesterday was my second time at Chickpea, and I have to say they offer a wide variety of options for any time of the day.

On both visits, Laura was my server, and she has been a big part of why I’ve enjoyed this place so much. Her service was incredible, and I always feel very well taken care of every time I come here.

The restaurant’s decor is also beautiful and has very “Chickpea vibes.”

“Oh my… this was quite an experience! When going there, letyourself be surprised by the Chef’s Menu (Menu dégustation in french). Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! Along with the lady who brought each plate and explained to us what they were. And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! Finally, the décor is not at all what you would expect, from looking at the menu on the web-site; very fresh, young, modern, yet very warm decor! Please go and try this place. “Overall experience here was great! The food was super fresh, customer service was on point as expected and the atmosphere was incredibly lively. There’s so much happening here which can get a bit overwhelming, especially with all of the clashing sounds. You’ve got the main music, birthday celebrations with tambourines and the hand pulled noodle guy that walks around with his own speaker! On top of that, it’s also incredibly busy. The only thing that genuinely made my table uncomfortable was the noodle guy. He came to our table and hit our friend in the face and head with the noodle multiple times. At first it was funny, but as it kept going we got increasingly more uncomfortable. He hit all 3 of us in the faces and the entire experience made us feel really weird. Other than that, everything else was great. The waiting area is super spacious and they have lots to do to keep you distracted and busy while you wait!“

“A little hole in the wall street food vendor. They have one table for you to eat outside while standing. The dumplings are truly delicious and I can’t wait to come back to try the vegan pudding.

They have multiple types of dumpling flavours and then different sauces you can get with it.

First time at Dharma Garden Veggie Deli🌱. I got the spicy #7. Flavourful and delicious, the proteins in the soup were plentiful, spiced delicately, and beautifully textured. I even stayed awake during my afternoon lecture.👍
(Vegetarians: We all know that we pay a bit more for cruelty free protein, but this spot hits right and feels good. You won't regret it!)

“Little bit of a late post but me and my girlfriend came here for the valentines special menu. It was amazing and the service was really thoughtful. Our server was Aaron, and he was very kind and made terrific suggestions. He was very honest too and suggested I get the Sablefish rather than their steak. I was very happy I did make that decision as the food was top notch. They gave complimentary bread with a very nice hummus style spread. The appetizers were very tasty, especially the crab cakes. The desert was also super delicious, the tiramisu had quite a strong orange profile to it. The $50 whiskey flight from a japanese distiller was also quite smooth and tasty. Overall will visit again and ask for Aaron!“

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our time together here and would definitely come back to try out some other dishes that this place offers.

My girlfriend had gotten the Pad Kee Mao Drunken Noodles and I got the Yellow Curry with Potatoes and a side of Coconut Rice.

Although I had to pay extra for a side of rice that doesn't come along with the curry, it isn't worthy of losing a star.“

The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was perfect from start to finish.We had the red wine braised short rib of beef from Double R Ranch — it melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! The ice cream trio was so creamy and rich. The creme brûlée was smooth and dreamy. The chocolate cake was moist and perfectly matched with the passionfruit sauce. The fam favorite was definitely the cheesecake… we were all wanting it! Perfect flavor not too sweet and very smooth. Blackberries were a perfect match. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back.
