COFU Pressed Sushi 1833 Anderson St Unit #103, Vancouver Vegan • $$

“Loved every minute of our dining experience here! The aromas upon entering this wee spot got us excited, the welcoming staff were lovely, and then...the food. We ordered Omakase C - Cofu and were delighted! The presentation is artful, but not fussily so. The flavours were layered and subtle so every ingredient could be tasted. Our favourite was the salmon sushi (we ordered an extra 8 pieces!), rich, decadent and delish, especially with the Cilantro Cucumber sauce. We tried the Restore and Elevate mushroom tinctures on the rocks; unexpected flavours, but they grew on us paired with the food and a little ice melt dilution. We will go back time and again to try everything on the menu. Highly recommended!”

“This is your “must go place” for authentic hot pot experience. We celebrated my husband’s birthday there today.

Food is so tasty with so many choices of soup bases. Spicy flavour tomato flavour are highly recommended. Beef quality is the best. We ordered 12 dishes of meat for four adults. Free ice cream is provided as well.

Service cannot be better. They have had the table decorated for us with happy birthday signs. Can you believe that the server even helped us to peel shrimp shells! My baby is only one year old and he was fussy sometimes. Different servers came with different types of toys to make him happy.

On our way back home, I got a call from Jessie that she apologized for not singing a happy birthday song for my husband. She even dropped a whole package of birthday gifts to our house with our permission.

I can never forget this best service I have ever had.”

“The food and drink was absolutely delicious when I went with my friend and partner. We ordered mango sticky rice, cauliflower wings and lychee/peach iced tea. On a hot summer day, it hit the spot so good. We also ordered some noodle dishes whuch were delicuous to devour on the go, though they were soupier than we thought. Our waitress was very kind, welcoming and accomodating, though also loud and people pleasing, which can come across as a bit much for some. Our group was fine with it though. We went in for a quick bite and got exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was beautiful and homey, separating us in a calmer bubble from the busy Vancouver streets.”

“We had such a wonderful experience on March 17, 2026 at Miku Japanese Restaurant at River Rock Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was truly top-notch—the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and made us feel genuinely cared for. What really stood out was their thoughtfulness and attentiveness. As soon as they noticed that one of our friends was wearing a veil and the rest of us had our Team Bride sashes on, they kindly arranged a private dining room for us. It made the celebration feel even more special and intimate. The ambience was also fantastic—cool, relaxing, and enhanced by a great selection of music. The warm, Japanese-style décor added a beautiful and authentic touch to the overall dining experience. We also appreciated the complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, especially since we had decided not to drink before going swimming. It was such a considerate gesture that didn’t go unnoticed. “Update: June 30 2026
I was in the area and decided to have lunch with my Dad. He’s never had a Smash burger ever in his life and this was a good day to have one. I personally have had a few smash burgers before at other restaurants, however I too will be in the same boat as my dad eating them here, at A&W.

We got the Double Smash Combos. It was hot, juicy, and delicious. My Dad appreciates the paper bag when holding the burger cause it keeps his hands cleaner LOL 😂. The fries were crispy and the coffee is great. We had a fun time here. We were glad we tried the limited edition smash burgers and got the Rooty keychains. We would definitely come back again. Great location 👍.

“I am not from the area, but I would happily travel the distance for this place! They have a massive selection for vegetarians—I counted 12 options, 10 of which can be made vegan. They even have two vegetarian burgers (both can be vegan).

On my first visit, I had the Butter Paneer Wrap with a side of fries and a Diet Coke (around $20). The wrap was exactly what you want: creamy, filling, and loaded with paneer. I hadn't eaten all day, and it filled me up completely.

I came back again and tried the Zesty Paneer Wrap and the Birria Fries. The wrap was just as great as the butter version but with a bit more of a tomato base. The Birria fries definitely have a nice kick to them!

Also you can choose your spiciness level for the wraps and several other items. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby (or even if you aren't.”

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.”

“Long story short, their pasta was the bomb. They make it fresh right in front of you and it’s just an absolute winner. Simple as that. We had pasta in Italy and I would say they are comparable. If you’re a big pasta person, this place is definitely for you. That being said, the almond semifreddo dessert was not disappointing as well. As far as service goes, I appreciate that they don’t come up to you every 2 minutes to ask “how’s the first few bites?” yet all the servers are still friendly and attentive throughout. For me, it doesn’t get any better than that. Let me eat my food and if I need something, I’ll let you know. Important to note: if you’re coming on a Saturday, be sure to be there by 4- 4:10pm to make sure you get seated. The line gets really long shortly thereafter. A restaurant with a long line outside will always draw more attention than the empty ones, very clever 😉 So make sure you go early…. And enjoy!”

We ended up having such a lovely chat about how we millennials grew up listening to Taylor Swift, which added a fun and personal touch to our celebration. She truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable. Not only did we receive a complimentary cake as a thoughtful gesture, but she also surprised me with a Swiftie friendship bracelet—such a sweet and unique detail that we’ll always remember. The food was amazing from start to finish. My husband had the New England Chowder for his appetizer, while I enjoyed the shrimp salad. For our mains, we both chose the surf n’ turf—our favorite—and it did not disappoint. We ended the night with a delicious sticky toffee pudding, along with the complimentary cake. Everything—from the incredible food to the warm, attentive service—made our night so special. Thank you, Coast, for such a memorable anniversary celebration! 💕”

“During my visit to Hyderabadi Biryani House with four friends, we had a delightful dining experience that truly showcased the restaurant's expertise in traditional Indian cuisine. The garlic naan was a highlight, with its soft, fluffy texture and rich garlic flavor that perfectly complemented the meal. The veg dum biryani was equally impressive, offering a fragrant mix of spices and perfectly cooked rice that provided a satisfying, hearty dish. The veg curries were another standout, with their rich, aromatic gravies and fresh vegetables that delivered a burst of authentic flavors. The meal was a fantastic experience, with these dishes standing out as the stars of the evening.”

And enjoy!”

We each ordered the rigatoni dish and in our opinion the quality was at par with Oca and La Tana. Very tasty and flavorful, and good portions. It was so neat to be served on pretty china instead of on a cardboard container. One of the staff came out while we were waiting at our table for our dishes and he was so kind to give our friend’s dog some bits of ham to enjoy! We are so glad to have tried this place out and we will definitely be returning again soon!”

“Delicious noodles! Prompt service. Tom yum was the perfect level of sour and spicy. Got out with the thick noodles which had a really nice chew. I don’t usually love shrimp, but these were fresh as they had a nice bounce.

Only down part is that it’s really warm - perhaps not enough AC / fan. Air circulation not great, but otherwise the space is cozy and cute.”

“I really like their pad Thai! Good portion! Authentic flavour, sweet with lots of tamarind in it. Good wok taste as well. The only thing is they use green onion in lieu of chives, and they don’t give enough fresh bean sprout on the side.

Their papaya salad is disappointing. Medium spicy is barely spicy at all, more like mild. They also use bottle lime and you can taste it! The overall flavour is just not there. Portion is also quite small (just a bunch of lettuce underneath to increase the volume).

Such a cool spot to grab a couple of beers and enjoy some Japanese food. In my case, I went for the tonkatsu set with rice, salad, and miso soup. The sushi was a little on the pricey side for me, so I decided to go with the tonkatsu instead and I wasn't disappointed!

“This place is soooo fun, there’s no menu, you go up to the counter and since the wines change you try 3 every time and pick which you like. Exciting, new and a fun vibe inside with a nice outside patio!”

LUCKY SUSHI CO. 1184 Denman Street Suite 203, Vancouver Sushi • $$

“Went there with my wife and was pleasantly surprised by how cool the aesthetic of the place is. It feels like they've recreated the vibe of Japan in the 80s and 90s, with a retro, old-school Japanese atmosphere that makes the experience feel really unique.

Such a cool spot to grab a couple of beers and enjoy some Japanese food. In my case, I went for the tonkatsu set with rice, salad, and miso soup. The sushi was a little on the pricey side for me, so I decided to go with the tonkatsu instead and I wasn't disappointed!

Definitely worth checking out for the atmosphere alone. A great spot for a casual date night or a couple of drinks with some good food.”

Pressato Sandwich Bar 386 Robson St, Vancouver Sandwich Shop • $

“I would have taken a photo but I couldnt stop eating. Best sandwich ever. Good prices and really good portions- from amount of meat, lots of cheese, perfect amount of sauce and the foccasia... so, so good. Service was also beyond top notch. If I could give it more stars I would, highly recommend because everyone needs to try them. Thank you!”

“We ordered Tandoori chicken sandwiches, they were pretty soft, warm, fresh and delicious. The Chai was machine made (Chai Ho) and was decent. Ambience was amazing, must visit!”

Napoli Pasta Studio 2708 W 4th Ave, Vancouver Italian • $

“This hidden Kits spot serves a carbonara so good it feels like a glitch in the matrix—especially considering the chef has only been cooking it for three months.

Every bite is pure perfection. The portion size hits the absolute sweet spot—satisfyingly rich without leaving you weighed down—and the price point is almost absurdly generous for the neighbourhood.

I wish I had taken a picture before I devoured it, but you’ll have to take my word for it that this is not a place to sleep on.”
