- Cute and cozy bakery
- Service was friendly and very kind

- I really enjoyed the cakes and the Baklava is a must try!

“My daughter and I were going to see a show at Theatre Under the Stars this past Friday night. We thought it to be a nice idea to have dinner at a place on Denman Street. As we were walking along, we came across an nice and quiet restaurant named Sadra. No one else was rhere so we decided to go in. Our waitress was very kind and gave us a warm welcome. We got a table on the patio and ordered a platter for 2. Well it was delicious! Very high quality meats. Very flavourful and a large portion. Just excellent food. We will be back again soon!“

“Amazing traditional middle eastern products. Hummus, baba ganoush, tzaziki, ... All delicious. Have only tried a hand full of their products and looking forward to try some more. That homemade almond butter is in my list!Staff is super friendly, super helpful with recommendations and let you have a little taste of things to make the decision making process easier.If you are in the area and fancy to buy some delicious products, look no longer!“

“I love Mehman Restaurant So Much.
Every time I start a set of night shifts at the hospital I order 2 of the koobideh kebabs and I eat it for dinner for the next 4 shifts. It is so filling and delicious. I’ve also tried their eggplant dip. SO YUMMY. And the sour chicken. Delicious. Everyone is so lovely and kind.
10/10 recommend
10/10 would go again because I’ve already gone again and again.“

“The location does half the seduction before any food shows up, a little backyard plaza tucked away so neatly you could forget you are in West Vancouver. The menu is short, and good, a burger joint has no business reading like a novel. There is a Persian current running through the operation, which in my book only sweetens the deal, and the koobideh wrap held its ground right alongside the burgers, so whatever cuisine these people have decided they are cooking, they are cooking it well. The special burger has flavours dialed in tight, juicy, good sized and fairly priced. The beef tongue sandwich was gone by the time I got there, sold out, which I have chosen to interpret not as a loss but as a summons. I will be back for it. A good, honest visit all around, and it is easy to see this place earning its crowd.“

“A few of the Deep cove lions club. 🦁🦁🦁 ladies met for lunch .8 of us. Kudos by everyone. The most popular was the calamari....WE. Would rate it the best any of us had ever had anywhere...and most of us are well travelled... ..Our server was so patient and graciously helped us with deciding our food choices.. We were all delighted by the wonderful and delicious foods we so enjoyed...thank you. Saboo! We're going to be back for sure!!!“

“Really enjoyed my visit here. The service stood out right away, staff were welcoming, quick, and attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent, especially the kebabs which were full of flavor and well prepared. The shallot yogurt was a highlight too, really smooth and rich. Portions were big and the prices felt fair for what you get. Overall, a solid spot I’d happily return to.“

“I was here for lunch. The persian food and location is awesome. Its right on Stevestons village with beautiful ocean view.
The ambience and service is awesome. People are friendly and helped me to understand the authentic persian food.

We had appies cauliflower dish and eggplant dish with soft persian bread. The eggplant spread with bread is the killer. Must try. Loved it.

The main course lamb shark, prawn biryani and other chicken dish are good. Liked the saffron flavoured rice and well cooked lamb shank. The biryani is also good however it is different from
How Biryani cooked in India food. At the end we had Baclava dessert with persian Chai. I never had such authentic flavourful baclava. It has almost sprinkled on top and inside it is having cardamom flavour. Woow it was mouthful of flavour. Chai is also very tasty.
I would say, eggplant spread with bread as well Baclava dessert is must try at this place.“

“The kebab and desserts that I had at this restaurant were unlike anything I’ve had at other restaurants. The quality was outstanding, and the flavors were absolutely incredible. If you want to experience authentic Persian cuisine at its best, this is definitely a place you should visit. Highly recommended!“

“It feels like your are on cloud 9 when eating here, absolutely phenomenal, every bite is astronomical delightful, words cannot justify how awesome this place is you gotta try this place 1 infiniti %. Going back at lunch time tomorrow for round two and some take home aswell.“

“My partner and I have driven past this place a few times, both thinking to ourselves that we want to go to Daddy's Grill just because of its name, lol. Today we finally visited!

Honestly, I had a great time. The menu is both as simple and as varied as it should be. It makes ordering easy. Everything on the menu looks good, so it's hard to go wrong.

The food itself is delicious, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Very nice choice for salad dressing, all are great flavours combined in one dish. I was offered a large naan with some dipping sauce as an appetizer, and it was so so good.

When it comes to shops offering Persian cuisine, this one is higher class. The food, the service, the interior decor, everything is high quality and the restaurant itself is very clean, including in the bathrooms. I wasn't expecting that! I also came at a busy time, the kitchen is open concept so you can watch the chefs as they cook -- They are very efficient.

There was a man, who I assume is the owner, that was catering to my table. He makes you feel like family. He is such a humble and good person, you can tell the customer experience is very important to him.

There were a couple girls working the tables as well, they approached the right amount of times and no one was over-bearing or over-serving. They have everything perfectly balanced.

I will absolutely come back to this restaurant for its delicious food and also for the great experience. Thanks everyone!“

“Was hungry & randomly stopped by at this place without even looking for reviews. Looked at the menu & ordered Hidra Sandwich & Super Special Sandwich as the pcitures looked good. Portion size was sufficient to feed a reasonably hungry individual, Food was served warm & nicely wrapped BUT the taste of both sandwiches was the highlight of the experience. It was bursting with flavour and explosion of multiple but well complemented textures of meat & dressings.
I am visiting from out of town otherwise this place would have been one of frequntly visited places in North Van area.
Seems they also serve cold cut meat as well, nut not sure, about it as we didnt ask but saw them nicely stacked in tray at the main counter“

“I have been to both Akbar Joojeh in Lonsdale and I love the service and people here the most. Paniz was super nice and patient. It was very crowded and long line but she managed the line and the tables with great attitude and a smile. The food was tasty and great portion. The atmosphere was great. The kitchen staff there were some hard working people and I truly enjoyed my experience there.“

“I wish the owner open one branch in Eastside Vancouver, nothing in Vancouver under $14 in any Chinese restaurants , $14 for koobideh big portion very reasonable price food is good , come on owner open a branch in Vancouver you will be doing very good here , Persian food so tasty“

“Alibaba has a slightly old fashioned atmosphere, but if you are going there for kebab Del and Jigar, it is absolutely amazing. We have been there more than four times, and every single time the food was very fresh and delicious.

He even suggests that if you like, you can get fresh bread from the bakery next door, which is a great idea, although he does bring bread with the food himself. He is very kind, friendly, and welcoming. Even if he is not at the shop, if you call him, he comes, and he makes you feel truly welcome.

We really enjoyed talking with him as well. He has many stories and is a pleasure to chat with. His Del and Jigar truly taste like the traditional jigaraki places in Iran. I highly recommend it.“

“Unfortunately, one major issue with this restaurant is that while customers are eating, the servers constantly watch their table and food. This made us feel very uncomfortable throughout our meal, and we experienced this firsthand during our visit two days ago.“

“Ordered the Soltani-D with Greek salad for delivery from Cazba Persian Grill. The meat was flavorful and cooked well, and the portion was satisfying. The Greek salad was fresh, but the dressing was a bit too sour for my taste. Overall, still a good meal and I’d order again.“

“Afra Bakery is one of my favorite places for fresh Persian bread. Their sangak is outstanding—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and always tastes fresh from the oven. The quality and consistency are excellent every time I visit.
I also highly recommend their haleem. It's rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, making it a great breakfast choice. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and take pride in their products.“

“Went to Haida Sandwich in North Van to try out their Haida hot, Haida Special and Turkey breast sandwich. All of them were delicious especially the cold cut sandwiches. Way bigger than Subway and comes with mini fries. This place is always busy, restaurant is clean. The only thing I didn't like is the airport style receipt checks they do on you. 😂“
