The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was perfect from start to finish.We had the red wine braised short rib of beef from Double R Ranch — it melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! The ice cream trio was so creamy and rich. The creme brûlée was smooth and dreamy. The chocolate cake was moist and perfectly matched with the passionfruit sauce. The fam favorite was definitely the cheesecake… we were all wanting it! Perfect flavor not too sweet and very smooth. Blackberries were a perfect match. We also had the donuts.. don’t forget about those. Im still dreaming of them. Highly recommend — a truly unforgettable meal!“

Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol“

“I love Melville Cafe. The owners are my favorite people. They always are very welcoming very very very kind. I work nearby and always going there with my colleagues.

The foods are 100% great. Omgggggg the Alfredo Pasta is my favorite one. So creamy and tasty. They served it with piece of warm crusty bread which makes it more delicious(Persian Style)

All their sandwiches are so tasty my favorite is Kotlet one.

The cafe itself is a bit old but you can feel the love in there, barely in Vancouver you can find this vibe.“

The food and the ambience were great, but it would have been nice to have a little special touch, seeing it was such a big occasion for us.“

“I watched a few videos on instagram so decided to give it a try. Carbeneo pizza was amazing. Little small but okay. It’s more of individual size so if with somebody get your own. My biggest disappointment would be the pasta I got. It was like ten pieces and after tax and tip like 40 dollars lol it was good. But sorry, the portion size is too small to justify the price. Maybe double the portion would be fair. I would never order it again at the current size/price. So I would say I love the taste but am disappointed in the portion sizes for price.“

“The food here is exceptional melt in the mouth beef Short ribs with polenta, all of us tried it and wished we'd ordered it too! I had the pear and walnut salad with the belly pork and was not disappointed. We had the burrata and prosciutto starter but didn't get the chance to take a pic as it was devoured 😋 the pizzas are like Sicilian pizzas light full of flavour and prepared with love. I didn't get to try the mac and cheese that was gone in seconds but my nephew loved it and asked to come back with us ❤️ I had a brownie that had all the indulgence of a brownie but so light, hubby had Mandarin sorbet which delivered on every note, nephews had tiramisu and lemon mousse and that didn't touch the sides. We really can't wait to come back to Sprezzatura they made us feel so welcome with a relaxed service“

“We randomly stumbled across this Ramen restaurant as we were walking and decided to give it a try. Its 8:30pm and past dinner time so we were hungry.

The dry noodle dish was very good, add extra noodles for $1. The meat portion was more generous than most other ramen places. The black garlic ramen was very very tasty 😋. Very nice decor and nice servers! They play western music though so a bit surprising.

You get a free ice cream in a cone when you sign up for membership.“

“We found this cafe in the late afternoon of a Saturday. We needed an energy boost after walking around Granville Island. We go to Granville Island quite often, but we have never been to this side and have never noticed this cafe.

We ordered a coffee, a cookie and a tart. Everything tasted great, but they were priced towards the higher range.

The interior design looked good, too. However, towards the closing hours, the cafe might not look its best in terms of tidiness. There was a lady having a video cal behind me, and she was quite loud. She also played her hair at the same time, so much so that her hands touched my head a few times, which was quite annoying. Not the fault of the cafe, though. Perhaps if the chair was not placed so close to me, it could have helped.

In a higher end cafe like this, I did not expect people being loud like that. However, I am not a regular to cafes, so I do not have an idea of how people normally behave.“

The second night I made an order online but accidentally pushed the Westshore location...(I'm in Saanich) when I was pointed out my mistake the young man up front went to talk to his manager Jenn! “Ordered pizzas for takeaway and brought them to English Bay for dinner. Even though they weren’t fresh out of the oven by the time we ate them, they still tasted great.
I got the Pistachio and Carne Mista pizzas, and both were a pleasant surprise. The Pistachio pizza was slightly sweet, while the Carne Mista had a bit of spice, and together they made a really nice combination.
They also had a buy-one-get-one-free promotion, which made it an excellent value for the quality and taste. Definitely worth trying!“

The alcohol cocktails good here though.

“Recently visited Babylon Cafe on Denman Street and honestly had such a great experience. The location is amazing — just steps from English Bay beach, making it the perfect place to grab food and relax after a walk by the water.

We tried their shawarma platters and they were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and very authentic. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the rice was cooked really well, and the sauces added so much flavor to the meal. You can definitely tell they focus on quality and presentation.

Their drinks and cocktails were also really good and added so much to the overall experience. It’s one of those places where you can sit back, enjoy good food, have a few drinks, and genuinely spend a relaxing evening with friends or family. The atmosphere is casual, welcoming, and has a very nice beachside vibe.

A huge shoutout to Habibi, the owner, for the amazing hospitality and service. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had a great experience from the moment we walked in. Customer service like this honestly makes a place stand out even more.

Another thing we appreciated was the pricing. For the quality, portion sizes, location, and overall experience, the prices are actually very reasonable for downtown Vancouver.

“We were there on Saturday evening and had a fun time. We got the Cobb salads, all three of us and although they were good, I wish they would get better quality bacon Even in their breakfast, the bacon isn’t great. I wish they would get a thicker, better quality bacon, but other than that the Cobb salad was fine.

The service was outstanding! Alyssa was our server and she was efficient, friendly, and all-around great!

Mateo stopped by to say hello, since I’m a returning customer, he is also such an absolute delight!
