He told me about people he lost from cancer and illness from unhealthy eating. When he opened this store, I saw how much love and care he put into the decorations, selections of ingredients, preparation of food and serving people. He always have a nice smile no matter what day he has. He wants to make the world a better place by getting people to eat yummy, fresh and happy things. “It’s Okay feels like a true neighbourhood watering hole and easily one of the best bars in East Vancouver. Super chill, no pretentious energy, and the kind of place you can actually sit and hang out for a while.

The food was the best part. Everything tasted fresh and actually well made, not just thrown together like a lot of bar food. The fried chicken sandwich was so good, really crispy, juicy, and flavorful without being heavy. Even the sides were solid which I feel like never happens.

Drinks were good and not super overpriced for Vancouver, and the staff were friendly and attentive!

“Shayla, our server, was absolutely amazing! She explained the menu thoroughly and made excellent recommendations that we were glad to try. The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was perfect from start to finish.We had the red wine braised short rib of beef from Double R Ranch — it melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! The ice cream trio was so creamy and rich. The creme brûlée was smooth and dreamy. The chocolate cake was moist and perfectly matched with the passionfruit sauce. The fam favorite was definitely the cheesecake… we were all wanting it! Perfect flavor not too sweet and very smooth. Blackberries were a perfect match. We also had the donuts.. don’t forget about those. Im still dreaming of them. Highly recommend — a truly unforgettable meal!“

“We had the Spaghetti Meatballs & Cherry Coke Ribs. The Spaghetti, eh, honestly, you could do better, forget the pasta at the pasta place lol. Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol“

“Easy, fast, healthy meal in the Royal Centre food court.Grab a container and serve yourself, eat there or they'll give you a bag to take away.They have a wide variety of toppings: lettuce, spinach, carrots, cucumbers, radish, chicken, tuna, chickpeas, beets, avocado, cabbage, tomato, herbs, etc. There are plenty of spices and dressings as well.It's pay-by-weight. Spend over $9.50 before tax and you get a free pop or small soup.“

I’m very happy with my meal again. 👌 Always reliable, fresh, tasty, I love sipping the hot broth as I eat my noodles.

If you give them your phone number for a free membership, you get a refreshing vanilla ice cream cone at the end.

Then as time goes on, there are other added benefits.

“I ordered Sher donair for delivery, and it tasted alright. They gave nice slices of beef and lamb for my rice platter. They also had a spicy chicken burger that I tried. But it's a little messy to eat. Overall it's your usual donair place.“

“We found this cafe in the late afternoon of a Saturday. We needed an energy boost after walking around Granville Island. We go to Granville Island quite often, but we have never been to this side and have never noticed this cafe.

We ordered a coffee, a cookie and a tart. Everything tasted great, but they were priced towards the higher range.

The interior design looked good, too. However, towards the closing hours, the cafe might not look its best in terms of tidiness. There was a lady having a video cal behind me, and she was quite loud. She also played her hair at the same time, so much so that her hands touched my head a few times, which was quite annoying. Not the fault of the cafe, though. Perhaps if the chair was not placed so close to me, it could have helped.

In a higher end cafe like this, I did not expect people being loud like that. However, I am not a regular to cafes, so I do not have an idea of how people normally behave.“

I had a fantastic evening at Barra Forty One. From the moment we sat down, Anita took such great care of us. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knew the menu inside out. She made perfect recommendations and checked in at just the right times without ever feeling pushy.
The drinks were outstanding – beautifully crafted, perfectly balanced, and some of the best I’ve had in a while. Every round was a highlight of the night.

“The food here is exceptional melt in the mouth beef Short ribs with polenta, all of us tried it and wished we'd ordered it too! I had the pear and walnut salad with the belly pork and was not disappointed. We had the burrata and prosciutto starter but didn't get the chance to take a pic as it was devoured 😋 the pizzas are like Sicilian pizzas light full of flavour and prepared with love. I didn't get to try the mac and cheese that was gone in seconds but my nephew loved it and asked to come back with us ❤️ I had a brownie that had all the indulgence of a brownie but so light, hubby had Mandarin sorbet which delivered on every note, nephews had tiramisu and lemon mousse and that didn't touch the sides. We really can't wait to come back to Sprezzatura they made us feel so welcome with a relaxed service“

“I’ve been dining at Babylon Bar and Restaurant for many years, and it continues to be one of my favourite spots in the city. Located right on Denman Street near English Bay Beach, it’s the perfect place to sit, relax, and soak in the view and the incredible Vancouver ambiance.

One of the things that truly sets Babylon apart is the owner. He’s often outside engaging with the public, welcoming guests personally, and you can immediately see how passionate he is about his food and his restaurant. He recognizes me every time I come in and treats me like family — that kind of genuine hospitality is rare and speaks volumes.

The service is always top notch — warm, attentive, and authentic. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate how accommodating they are. On my last visit, he made me a crispy-style falafel wrap with fries, and it was absolutely incredible. The wrap was perfectly done, full of flavour, and the side of tahini sauce they serve with it takes it to another level.

If you’re visiting English Bay or just walking along Denman, I highly recommend stopping in. Great food, outstanding service, beautiful location — this place is a true Vancouver gem.“

I added pickles and extra mayo (also came with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions) and was very happy with my decision. The buns are those kind that are soft inside but a little crispy on the outside. Yum!! I’ll be back.“
