“Went for a late night poutine and beef wrap after a concert and I could not have been happier. Super friendly and fast service. Generous portion and the beef wrap was very tender and full of veggies and flavors. I would definitely return if I'm in the area. One bonus, I forgot to buy a can of soda when ordering so when the food was ready I tried to buy a drink but the guy just comped it for me. What a guy! He even followed up with a food check to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Another note, the pic I took of the wrap doesn't do it justice. One more bite in and it would have showcased the plentiful veggies and sauce inside. Very good.“

“This review is purely on the food because for a takeout place like this, I personally do not mind if the CX service is blunt and cold. As long as the food is hot and ready, which it was. The wraps that we ordered were very decent. The beef wraps had good flavour and texture. It had less sauce than what I'd prefer rendering it a touch dry, but that also meant the wrap doesn't become a wet soggy mess.
Ordered the falafel platter and the falafels were made to order. Delicious and scrumptious.

“great experience with pleasant staff at this location. food is hot, fresh and correct. they were very busy however I didn't need to wait long. price is a bit high for a chain restaurant but they give enough fries, have free peanuts and the meat is not thin as paper so I was actually full. surprsing clean dining area, bathrooms, and kitchen area during my visit which I have not seen in my recent visits to many fast food restaurants. enjoyed a yummy quick bite. love the burgers customizable with free cheese and bacon as toppings“

“Update: June 30 2026
I was in the area and decided to have lunch with my Dad. He’s never had a Smash burger ever in his life and this was a good day to have one. I personally have had a few smash burgers before at other restaurants, however I too will be in the same boat as my dad eating them here, at A&W.

We got the Double Smash Combos. It was hot, juicy, and delicious. My Dad appreciates the paper bag when holding the burger cause it keeps his hands cleaner LOL 😂. The fries were crispy and the coffee is great. We had a fun time here. We were glad we tried the limited edition smash burgers and got the Rooty keychains. We would definitely come back again. Great location 👍.

“I'm trying Popeyes for the second time. First time I got the spicy chicken and didn't care for the spices used (I like spicy food generally)

This time I had the big special mini wrap original chicken. Wow! It tasted great. I also liked the biscuit and cajun fries.

I ordered pickup for the points. They forgot the sauce so remember to double check your order.

“It was my first time at Popeyes, and Rashmi was very patient, friendly, and helpful. I took quite a long time to place my order, but she was very understanding. I loved the sandwich, tenders and fries they were fresh and delicious! I had such a great experience that I’m now a regular customer.“

“I ordered Sher donair for delivery, and it tasted alright. They gave nice slices of beef and lamb for my rice platter. They also had a spicy chicken burger that I tried. But it's a little messy to eat. Overall it's your usual donair place.“

Fifteen dollars for the bacon & cheese burger 🍔 is high although good quality. I can make one just as good at home. Staff was friendly although with the fans etc very hard to hear.“

“Definitely a respectable smash burger. Patty is well seared with lots of crispy bits on the edges and a great flavour. Sauce was good on the burger as well (I had the big cheeser).

The location is typical Chinatown, pretty rough and dirty outside but ok after coming inside. There were a lot of flies in the restaurant. Not a huge deal, but there was a significant amount flying around our food.

I wanted to love the dirty fries but they just didn’t do it for me. Tasted like bagged fries with toppings on them. Looked good and portions were generous though, just didn’t live up to the hype.

Gluten free bun upcharge was 3.75 which is the highest upcharge for a gluten free bun I’ve encountered in the city.

Service was friendly though and the burger itself is definitely worth trying, however, there is definitely a lot of hype around this place from social media and I’m not sure it lives up to the hype.“
