“We were welcomed inside to order and wait by an incredibly friendly staff member, who provided us with menus and gave us a specific time our order would be ready after we ordered! Very handy to know, and stops people from being impatient as well! Love the professional touch, as despite not being able to stay and eat the burgers on-site, it was clearly explained right from the very beginning and we hold no grudges as they will have a place of their own soon!

Now, down to the burgers: I had the mushroom & blue burger and it was insane. One of the best burgers I have ever had! Perfectly balanced flavours, meat was cooked perfectly as were the mushrooms! Bun the right consistency too. My partner got the truffle mushroom & Swiss burger, and told me it was fantastic as well! Juicy, mushrooms were perfect and the ingredients all tasted super fresh!

One underrated thing to mention about these burgers: they are perfectly precise. Not too big, not too small, holds its integrity and doesn't fall apart! Well done to all! You rock!“

“I haven't tried any of their desserts, so I can't say anything about those. I got the keto gluten free burger and a side of fries--first off, holy moly there were so many fries. Insane amount, which is good...but if you're eating them all by yourself (like I was), by the end you get a little sad because it's like four potatoes you just ate. How did you just eat four potatoes worth of fries? They were good but they weren't even that well seasoned. Why didn't you just stop? Come on, Ethan.

The burger was good. Sad that adding cheese and mushrooms costs so much extra; without them it would've been pretty plain. The keto/gluten free "bun" is really just super flat pita style bread that is really bad for the structural integrity of a slippery greasy burger. I'm all for greasy burgers, but it was really tough to hold onto. It didn't come with any toppings except the side "salad," which was just a bunch of burger toppings and diced cucumber mixed together. Kinda felt like a missed opportunity to have a unique flavor combo with the keto bun and maybe a less-popular vegetable topping. I dunno, overall I think this place just needed to embrace itself and be a little more unique and bold with its flavors.“

“The chicken Parmesan sandwich is a work of art. The bun is perfectly soft and chewy, the chicken is juicy and crunchy and all the sauces work perfectly. One of the better sandwiches I’ve had in a while.

“This place was really cute. i had a friend who recommended this place. the burgers were good, sort of like White Spot or A&W kind of taste. the fries and milkshake were really good as well. We got an All-American, a Street Hawker, a side of fries, and a Vanilla Milkshake. everything all in all was really cute and it wasn’t that busy when we arrived, but started getting busier as we were leaving. a little on the pricy side, but otherwise i would recommend this place 100% to others!

Parking: We had to park about 5 or so minutes away for free parking. Paid parking was very limited on main street

“I took my colleague here for a lunch meeting and to get his thoughts on the place I have been raving about. My colleague ordered the Jalapeño Smash Burger and I tried the Spicy Vegan Chicken burger with orders of dirty fries. We were both impressed with the flavours of our burgers. My Spicy Vegan burger has the “Wow” factor. Always love the dirty fries. Really helps when the service is welcoming and very helping with the menu. All in all, experience, service and delicious burgers and fries checks off all the boxes for a place to enjoy with friends!“

“I stopped at 5778 University Blvd Vancouver UBC today around 5 am. I was quite impressed by great customer service. I also shared my experience on Twitter @gurmukhthiara Girl working there knows how to treat the customer in a super professional way. I am requesting a & w to send this girl for 2 weeks to train the girls working at a & w Broadway in Coquitlam/ port Coquitlam. That a & w has worst customer service. Girls keep on talking to each other and laughing while taking the order. If you ask something not to add, they will add and vice versa. This happened many times on Friday and Saturday night.

“New favourite smashburger in Vancouver and that’s a tall order,m. Chicken Sandwich came out darker than I expected but provided the perfect crunch and a super juicy cutlet. Simple salad of arugula with that just enough mayo sauce. Loved the beef tallow fries. Perfect cut and seasoning. Above all else, Asher made the experience perfection from the minute we entered until we paid up. $75 for wine, 2 sandwiches and fries + Pelligrino which in this economy is saying everything we need to hear to enjoy a nice meal out. “A surprisingly good food in a tiny bit run down location. The burgers were really tasty (loved the guac in the Baja burger!) and the fries (regular and sweet potato) very good - amazing sauce for the fries. The lady was super nice and helpful and the server also pretty accommodating and nice. Recommend this place for a quick bite or if craving for a burger.“

“I will always love their rootbeer as it evokes nostalgia. It is served without ice because they say the temperature is ice cold and the melting ice would impact the taste. I usually order the Mama burger because it is cheap or the Beyond Meat burger when I feel like saving a cow’s life. The sides are all pretty great here: the fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings are all good.

The only thing I don’t recommend is using the app. Your order is chewed up by the app and spit out differently from what you ordered. It is bizarre. I paid and was charged $51.10 in the app but the order I received was missing one of the sides, and the emailed receipt also was different from my actual order, and totalled $45.65. I had to order and pay for my missing side at the restaurant.

Later the charge to my credit card mirrored the charge on my emailed bill. The manager made it right later. A&W, please fix your app so the manager can get on with managing the restaurant and not mistakes with your app.

“We love the view! It's our go to restaurant whenever my son did something great! He loves the seafood chowder and the garlic bread! It's our seafood night for the rest of the family as well. However, my son said the seafood chowder's taste has changed too much garlic and onions! I guess as season changed the mussels got very small as well! “O..M..effin...G... this place is good. For a downtown restaurant, I'm surprised they didn't charge higher prices. Came here before going to the theater show and it worked out perfectly. We had the Truffle Burger as well as the Bacon & Cheese, both very tasty. Patty was juicy and it was a big burger for the price as well. The burgers don't come with any sides, so we decided to share a garlic fries, and it was a tad small for a full order, but also very tasty as well.

We got there before happy hour ended, so the drinks were very reasonable as well. Service was great, would definitely go back to try other burgers as well.“

“personally, the prices are very high. You’re looking at spending up to $20 per person if you’re looking for making it a combo. The place itself was cool for a hot day and the view was nice for people watching, though people tend to watch you.

My service was fast and the people working there were nice and quick, letting me know about some things. I got the 4 taster chickens combo for $18.54 I believe, though it was pricey they gave me 2 extra tenders! Guess everywhere I go and order tenders I seem to get a little extra haha.

The food itself was fresh and the chicken was good, seasoned well and juicy. The fries are good but could be a little more salty but overall very delicious.
