“Randomly came upon The Brighton, walked in and immediately felt a New Orleans vibe which was delightful. A good ole dive bar feeling where one can relax and be yourself. The staff were amazing, specifically Hubert who provided a laid-back vibe and very good conversation while I sat at the bar. Hubert was working hard pouring drinks and making Nachos for a growing mix of ppl coming from the Lamb of God concert. The 2 girls waiting on customers were also pleasant and down to earth. The music was an eclectic mix of old school rock all the way to the 80’s, 90’s and current metal. Loved it! The place was open late with No Pressure to get during last call. If you’re in Vancouver go, see Hubert at The Brighton before or after a concert at the Coliseum, or a drink to sit back and look at all the awesome memorabilia on the walls.“

“We’ve been meaning to visit the Regal Beagle for a long while now and finally dropped in for brunch yesterday. What a nice place! It was a beautiful Sunday morning and not long after opening, it wasn’t crowded yet – just how we like it. A cozy, funky vibe with outside patios in front and at the back. I must admit that I wasn’t expecting much but the food was fantastic! We had the Beagle Breakfast and the Croque Madame. Both came with wonderfully crispy house potatoes that were actually crispy. The Breakfast had a scrumptious pile of bacon between toast and two perfect fried eggs. The Croque Madame was probably the best I’ve had in Canada – excellent cheesy bechamel sauce, ham and brioche slices topped with a fried egg. The service was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back and I’m guessing a great place for and evening meal. We recommend this place very highly.“

“If you're looking for an affordable pub this is the place. Loads of history. Meet interesting people, nobody judges anyone, and looks like the whole place time travelled from the 70s. Sometimes there's food, sometimes not. Never had any problems.
Pool tables, juke boxes, live music on weekends.

“I went there to watch the World Cup today, and I had a great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, and both the beer and the food were excellent. The Beef Ragu was especially memorable, it was so delicious that I'd happily come back just for that. I also really enjoyed the dark beer. As a sports pub, it had a great atmosphere, and watching the game was comfortable with excellent views of the screens. I'll definitely be back!“

Good selection of food for all sorts of moods (I recommend the fish tacos), but what really made it was the barman Liam! “Our favorite place when we would be stressed with school work! Large patio as well - great for summer hangouts. Super close to wreck beach and foreshore trail. You have to pay first and then they bring food to you. Tipping before even trying the food is a little interesting.“

“Popped in to the Kings Head this afternoon. Our second visit as I am visiting family. Had a great afternoon sat in the sun when the clouds would let us. But no matter as the heaters were on and kept us nice and toasty. Had some great wings & fry’s all washed down with some Cider. Served by Christina who’s new to the role but destined to be management in no time, attentive without being overbearing. And made us feel right at home. Will definitely be back soon… cheers guys“

Their Bday offering is the best out there (that I know of). So miss living in Kitsilano, as I got there way more often, but its been a destination of mine for 11yrs & counting! Highly recommend!! Did I mention even their washrooms are cool?“

“Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Music isn't too loud, and the fish and chips are huge and delicious. Fish was cooked all the way through and the batter was ever so slightly undercooked, but it was still crispy and delicious.
