“I love the Red Llion Bar & Grill.
Fantastic menu.
I have never had a bad meal or bad service.
The salads are great as is, well everything.
A favorite is the portobello vegetarian burgers, the wild salmon salad and the very yummy prawn gyozas appetizer.“

“Alright where do I start. What’s better..the food or the service? Both are hands down elite in all aspects. Let’s start with the service. Olivia G and Sasha are two of the kindest all around human beings I’ve interacted with. They accommodate for my food allergies every visit. They consistently show up ready to serve at a moments notice. That’s what it takes to be elite. Now for the food. The menu speaks for itself, as it offers unbeatable appetizers with cutting edge main courses. Give this place a try. You heard it from me.“

“I ordered takeout and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was.
The soy chicken and snowy chicken were both delicious and full of flavor. The original fried chicken was a bit bland for my personal taste, but it was still cooked well.
What impressed me most was how crispy the chicken stayed. Even after the 10-minute drive home, the fried chicken was still crunchy and juicy, which isn't always easy to achieve with takeout.
Overall, a great experience, and I'll definitely be ordering again.“

“Randomly came upon The Brighton, walked in and immediately felt a New Orleans vibe which was delightful. A good ole dive bar feeling where one can relax and be yourself. The staff were amazing, specifically Hubert who provided a laid-back vibe and very good conversation while I sat at the bar. Hubert was working hard pouring drinks and making Nachos for a growing mix of ppl coming from the Lamb of God concert. The 2 girls waiting on customers were also pleasant and down to earth. The music was an eclectic mix of old school rock all the way to the 80’s, 90’s and current metal. Loved it! The place was open late with No Pressure to get during last call. If you’re in Vancouver go, see Hubert at The Brighton before or after a concert at the Coliseum, or a drink to sit back and look at all the awesome memorabilia on the walls.“

“Has an old pub feel and so are the patrons. No waitress / waiter to be seen, you had to get your own drinks (is that a Vancouver thing?) Food is ordered from a window in a wall but good wings. Live music was vintage rock, they were really great!“

“We really wanted to explore the Gastown side of town, and Yelp led us to this cute spot that did not disappoint. We arrived before sunset and found a cozy table upstairs. The view from the top was so romantic, watching the rain fall as the sun went down.
Our waitress was excellent, especially considering it was her first day. I ordered the fish and chips, and they were absolutely delicious. C got the beef stew, and it was honestly the most flavorful stew I’ve ever had. The bathrooms were cute and clean, and the drinks were made perfectly.
Overall, we highly recommend this place for lunch or an early dinner. The inside has a vintage-esque feel, and we were truly impressed. If you come to this part of town, plan some extra time to look around. Bonus: you can see the cruise ships across the street!“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic experience here! The atmosphere had a great vibe—lively and welcoming without being overwhelming—and the music was at just the right level to enjoy while still being able to have a conversation. The service was excellent, and our server was absolutely amazing! He was a tall, dark-haired gentleman—I believe his name was Matthew—and he really made our evening. His joke about “Scotty staying in the corner” was absolutely out-of-this-world hilarious and had us laughing so hard. 😂 It's those spontaneous, memorable moments that really make great service stand out. The food was delicious, the prices were very reasonable, and everything came together perfectly for a wonderful evening. An easy 5/5 experience. We would absolutely come back! ⭐️“

“We were a party of five to celebrate Father's Day this year. I can't believe it took me this long to find this gem of a pub in Kitsilano. The brunch food was delicious, the portions were generous, the prices were very affordable and the server was friendly and attentive. She had a good memory remember our orders. We will definitely return.“

“Taylor is awesome!! Frequent this bar and you’ll get to know both the staff and the regulars. I’ve been coming here with my friends for almost a year now regularly, and the atmosphere is unmatched. If you’re looking for the ultimate dive bar in all of Vancouver, The Met is the place to be.
Reasonably priced drinks, a respectable staff team and a great vibe. Cheers!“

“I went there to watch the World Cup today, and I had a great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, and both the beer and the food were excellent. The Beef Ragu was especially memorable, it was so delicious that I'd happily come back just for that. I also really enjoyed the dark beer. As a sports pub, it had a great atmosphere, and watching the game was comfortable with excellent views of the screens. I'll definitely be back!“

“The moment I walked in I could tell it was a classic neighbourhood spot. The space feels cozy and welcoming, like a place people in the community have been coming to for years.
I ordered a pasta dish and a salad. The pasta was well seasoned and cooked just right, and the salad tasted fresh and bright. Everything on the plate felt balanced and satisfying. It was the kind of meal that left me feeling full and happy, not rushed or overwhelmed.“

“First visit to this pub for a private event. Casual atmosphere, with tables and counter space, making it a good venue for a party with mingling! Reasonable food prep time after ordering at the counter given the size of the group there. Had the veggie nachos ($15) and chicken tacos ($10). The peppers gave the nachos a good kick! Good sharing food. The tacos had a lot of diced veggies, but the soft shell made it hard to hold together and it was a messy eat. For pub fare, it was a decent taste overall and as expected. Pleasant servers, who also came around to remove empty plates and glassware. The organizers of our event are regulars at Village Pub, so recommended it as a venue. Nice experience!“

“Popped in to the Kings Head this afternoon. Our second visit as I am visiting family. Had a great afternoon sat in the sun when the clouds would let us. But no matter as the heaters were on and kept us nice and toasty. Had some great wings & fry’s all washed down with some Cider. Served by Christina who’s new to the role but destined to be management in no time, attentive without being overbearing. And made us feel right at home. Will definitely be back soon… cheers guys“

“Our favorite place when we would be stressed with school work! Large patio as well - great for summer hangouts. Super close to wreck beach and foreshore trail. You have to pay first and then they bring food to you. Tipping before even trying the food is a little interesting.“

“Squarerigger Pub feels like a hidden gem on the North Shore. Tucked away behind a small, almost hidden entrance off a strip mall parking lot, it has a unique old-school character and one of the coolest live music venues in the area. The bands that play here are often excellent, and the atmosphere can be fantastic during busy evenings, though it feels much quieter and less engaging during off-peak hours.
Service is practically self-serve—no one checks on your table, so you need to order at the bar and carry your drinks back yourself. There’s no in-house kitchen, but they offer food from a nearby restaurant during limited hours, and you're welcome to bring your own food, which is a nice bonus. Beer prices are fair, and the cozy patio is a great option if you're looking for a quieter spot to sit and chat.“
