“Food at Jolly Mac's is consistently very good. service is always friendly. One issue is that I have been shopping at the Liquor Store for 17 years. They always had tax and deposit included in the prices. Suddenly their prices have been changed to not have tax and deposit. I am not sure why this was done. It was always better to know the price you see is the price you pay. I think this was a poorly thought out decision.“

“I hadn't been in 4 months until this weekend and it looks like they recently had some staff turnover, but it's all good. I look forward to meeting the new staff. Weekend brunch was decent for bar food. It's a good idea. I'll be going back for that. I thought everything was pretty pricey, but then I had to remind myself that Canadian prices are not like US prices. The liquor tax here is bonkers. So, I guess their prices are on point for the area. Fleetwood is my favorite area in Surrey. I like this place as being my local hang out that me and my chums can walk to. It's also a good first date place because it's pretty low key. I.E., not loud, it has an upbeat ambiance (especially cozy on a rainy day), and you can actually have a conversation and hear each other. Another positive is that they cater to a wide demographic. All ages, all races, and so there are lots of regulars. I have found that the patrons are generally easy going and so a conversation can started pretty easily.“

“This is thee place to eat when in Deep Cove! The food, drinks, location and casual ambience are outstanding. You can dine inside or out on the patio on a sunny day. “We split a stone-fire pizza and a beef burger with fries, and drank a pint of Howe Sound lager. The crust held up, the burger was a proper pub burger, and the taps were the point of the visit. Happy hour runs every day from 3 to 6. The weekday lunch special is a burger and a beer for $20. There is pinball, TVs, and a back patio when the weather holds. Karaoke night on Fridays.“

“A decent selection of food and a good atmosphere. Decent staff and okay prices. Portions are on the small side for the price and the absolute smallest piece of battered fish I've ever had in a restaurant. Literally half the size of every other place I've been. The same size of what you would get out of a frozen box dinner like Highliners. Not exaggerating the slightest. I would recommend any dish but this one.“

We were in late and our daughters were hangry and we were all tired after a long day and he was so great! “Had an amazing lunch today at Sapperton District Taphouse. I ordered the House Salad with cajun chicken and my daughter had the Kung Pao Noodle Bowl. We both loved our meals! We also tried the Moscow Mule they have on tap and a pint of the Vertical Winter Ale from Tree (drank that too fast to take a pic, so good). We felt very comfortable the whole time. Lots of covid restrictions in place and we especially liked that our utensils came individually packed and sanitized. We found out this place is entirely locally owned and they have a cold beer & wine store inside!! We took home some Rock Creek Cider on our way out. We will definitely be coming back soon.“

“My husband and I came from the US and were just touring around the area a couple days ago, when we came across this pub. We decided to stop in and ended up having such a great experience!

We both ordered the pasta and it was SO good! We were honestly surprised when we found out it was made in-house. Definitely did not expect the food to be that good from a pub!

Also, a huge shout out to our server/bartender, Dg! She was super friendly and answered all our questions, she’s super attentive and she knows what we need without even asking her!! Especially when it came to drinks. I mentioned that I wanted a cosmopolitan but didn’t see it on the menu, and she overheard me and offered to make one. Let me just say…it was probably one of the best cosmos I’ve ever had!

Usually I don’t expect pubs to make cocktails that is not on their menu, but Dg definitely knows what she’s doing. The way she made the drink and explained everything made it feel like we were at a cocktail bar!!

“Hops Pub is a small Local pub located right outside the New Westminister sky train station...they have a good selection of beers and wine... they are not big on cocktails...Laid back environment...they have special events such as trivia....Covered heated patio with fire pits...open Late until 1:00 am weekends...close earlier week nights.. The kitchen closes early... so go early if you want food... they focused on drinks... My server told me i could bring in food from other establishments if i wanted...Hops is located in the same building as the Old Spaghetti Factory.. make sure you find the right door for the pub...Hops enterance is right below the escalators to sky train....the closest pub in New West to sky train... Hops is just a small basic pub...nothing special about it... if your looking for a fancy place for a Gala event... Hops is not your place...“

“This Brown’s on Glen has incredible service, Incredibly compassionate staff, and their food, especially the blackened chicken cowboy salad is like it used to be and back to phenomenal….yum… the chicken was so so tasty and tender …yummy! We were there the last week in May and while the service was slow it was still great!! The manager came by and apologized and also insisted he pay for a couple of drinks for us. Even though we insisted on paying as we simply appreciated him apologizing for the slow service. We had a great discussion about how hard it is to staff restaurants. I can’t recommend this Brown’s enough. Great place to go with two people, a small group or a large group.“

“July 26/25 I arranged to have a birthday party for my son - in- law 69th birthday unfortunately, he died Easter Monday. But we honoured his wishes and went forward with the party, at the elk's club.
We had around 100 people there and the compassion, kindness and accommodation were awesome! A huge thank you to Joe Edan for giving us this spot. And huge thank you to Tabitha and the other bar tender ( his name has slipped my mind ) for their amazing service.
This would not have been a success, without the team work of the staff at the Elk Club!!!

“This is one of my favourite entertainment venues. They have great live bands and I love that you can enjoy decent meal and then dance the night away. The also have a pretty decent drink menu, but tequilla shots are not allowed for some reason. Tonne of fun every time I go though. 😄“
