“The owner is the friendliest, kindest man. I came in feeling sorry for myself after getting a few fillings done and he customized my drink - I felt pampered. Our kids are in here with their allowance and they report the same friendly service, not to mention the delicious drinks! I haven’t tried the food yet, just a couple smoothies which are great.

“Just had the dark chocolate mouse with vanilla and salted caramel cake yesterday for the second time and it is the most memorable and the best we've ever had. There is nothing to compare this cake to. We've never had anything as elegant as this at any restaurant, store or hotel. This was superb!!!!!! Yummmmmy!!!! “I recently spent 2 or 3 hours catching up with an old friend at this pub, sipping on cold beers and snacking on chicken strips with French fries. The pub has a welcoming culture, with friendly staff and excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our short visit, and I would definitely visit again. If you're looking for an authentic pub experience like the ones you see in movies, this place is definitely worth a visit.”

“Edit: less than a week after my first visit, I’m back with my husband. We sat on the patio in the back and there were some many children it looked like a birthday party. Bad parenting meant some were running around screaming. My Lager was good once again. We shared a Mama Said pizza. Nice afternoon except for the feral children.

My first time here and it was great! I had the Jessie’s Amber Lager and it hit the spot. We got a table in the back and it was long enough to fit our large group. Not much interaction with the staff other than ordering my drink. I look forward to my next visit as the first one was so fun.”

“This is my go-to sushi place! I used to come here because it was close to my apartment but the more I ate at other sushi restaurants the more I genuinely wanted to return and eat here instead. They are very affordable, but have nice rolls, great special rolls and delicious sashimi. Best price for a split tuna and salmon sashimi ever, and it tastes great, super fresh. The only thing I've enjoyed more at other restaurants are the California rolls and agedashi tofu. Both are still good here but I've had a bit better.

I almost always get my food to go because it's a small restaurant and I live nearby but you can eat inside. They have an enclosed patio for extra space. Everyone working there are genuinely so nice and my food is ready in no time, usually 15 mins or less. The combos come with miso soup, which is always a nice surprise. I have been eating here at least once a month for years and I have zero complaints. I would like to try their all you can eat sushi one day!

Vegetarian options: I only ate vegetarian options while pregnant and I found it satisfying. Enjoyed the mango avocado roll, but in my opinion it's improved with a side of sriracha to dip in!”

“I come to this JJbean daily, and every time I'm greeted with friendly faces and good coffee. The staff members are incredibly accommodating!! I don't like to leave my dog out, as it's illegal and there are too many variables. The staff kindly hold my dogs lead while I run in and tap to pay!! It's such a pleasure to see my dog raise their spirits. They even brought out coffee to somone who was nervous to leave their bike out! Customer service is difficult, draining, and comes with the impossible caveat of making everyone happy. We are all in this world together, and in a society, compromise so all can be comfortable to a reasonable degree. Human beings don't become robots when they put on a name tag and work. Keep that in mind, reviewers, when leaving a bad review.”

“An Italian Culinary Journey at Osteria Povera in Port Moody. From the moment you step inside, this cozy restaurant radiates warmth and positive energy. The menu has a delightful array of traditional Italian dishes, each crafted with care and authenticity. We started with Bruschettini Pugliese and Affettati e olive fritto. The best fried olives I ever tried; both appies were perfect. For the main courses we indulged in the Linguine e salmone, Lasagna and Spaghetti aglio olio e prezzemolo. I never tried pasta with lemon before; I have been missing out! Simply delicious. And of course we had to try the desserts: Grappa Tiramisu (I think it needed more mascarpone cheese), Frittelle di Carnevale (see photo) and Torta al Limone, which the attentive and friendly Jessica made more appealing by adding a candle to celebrate the occasion. Whether you’re savoring a romantic dinner or gathering with friends and family, Osteria Povera promises an authentic taste of Italy. You will be planning your next visit without a doubt.”

We used to travel from Vancouver to the Garry Point location until they lost that location thanks to the City of Richmond. Now we travel to Rocky Point Park for the same great food and a nice afternoon outing.

“Apologies to my former fav sushi restaurant but, Hanayuki is officially my new favorite Sushi Restaurant in the lower mainland.
The food came out so quickly, the staff were super friendly and accommodating despite us arriving an hour before closing, and the atmosphere was warm with very cozy seating.
It is close to some popular local spots like Rocky Point, Belcara, Sasamat Lake, and Buntzen so we will be back again regularly which is an absolute treat.
The quality of the food and fish was unparalleled and the miso soup really hit the spot after a cold swim. My friend had the Tonkatsu which she said was the best she has had in a long time and the closest to what she makes at home.
I really recommend the Salmon Run Roll and the Tataki Attack Roll. The gyoza is very crispy and the Toro melts in your mouth.
I cannot wait to go again and bring more of our family too!”

While I understand this is essentially for seafood lovers, some of us who are vegetarian often go with a group and it is very disappointing that only salads are an option. The pasta option that the server described (not on the menu) was quite bland. As the trend grows rapidly for people to choose vegan and vegetarian food, and many high end restaurants have adapted their menu, Boathouse seemed to have lagged behind.”
