“Hubby and I came to Saint St Grill for my birthday dinner. It was our first time dining there. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive and observant. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire menu. The wine and the beer were served at a nice cold temperature.I started with the scallops. While they were a little more rare than I usually like, they were perfectly seasoned and the purees were tasty. The pea shoots were so fresh I felt like the had just been picked from the garden. The whole dish was well thought out and put together.Hubby had the filet mignon. Perfectly cooked, and he really enjoyed the parsnip puree. He's not really a fine dining guy, but he knows his beef and he was very happy with his meal.I had the duck. Again, perfectly cooked. It was juicy and tender. The purees were tasty, as were the potatoes. I found the braised cabbage just a little bit too sweet, but that is a personal preference. The ONLY complaint we have is how uncomfortable the chairs were. We will return, but we'd be happy to stay longer and have dessert if they get more comfortable chairs.Dietary restrictions: Message ahead, or call ahead. They are very responsive. I have a wheat allergy and they were more than happy to accommodate.Parking: Free street parking as well as a decent sized lot at the back of the restaurant with an entrance at the back.“
“Such a quaint part of Port Moody! Really loved listening to live music while eating some good fish and chips. I loved that the fries are bottomless here so you can refuel anytime you want! Finally, there are picnic tables that have holes in them and are MADE to put the fish and chips inside while you eat. So cool :)“
“The restaurant located in a good location. It is beside the ocean and if you sit on any ocean view table, you will have lovely time, especially at sunset and night when the lights are on.The food was just Ok, and it wasn’t that yummy that I was expected. The price was not expensive but in comparison with the food taste and the way of serving.“
“Consistently good experience with food, service and atmosphere. For a chain restaurant, feels high end. However advertised as a family friendly spot, did not offer change tables in the washrooms which led to one of our party and baby being stuck heading to the car to change and feed.“
“OMG FANTASTIC... My last visit was as fulfilling and nostalgic as last time I was here. Superb service, quality, tasty food. I had my fav prime rib - always satisfying, garlic mashed potatoes, pinot Noir, escargot mushrooms, crème Brulee, very eager, presentable staff. I just wish we had one near where I live now. Top marks, even the take out box was properly organised with meat, mashed, and container of au jus.“
“This absolutely our go-to for takeout! Food is always plentiful, tasty and freshly made, with fresh ingredients. Owners Paul and Sara are always, always friendly and helpful! Restaurant is for pick-up (a couple of seats if you need to wait, which has never happened to us) but clean and welcoming! Highly recommend!Parking: Plent of free parking right outside“
“It had such a high rating that I had to check it out.Food I would have given you a 4.5 out of 5, but you were better than a 4, so 5 it is. It was the small plates that did it for me. It was the illusion of more food than there was. On the whole the food was excellent, a good choice of potatoes very good flavor. I had the Haddock one of my favorite good flavourful fish. Coleslaw was brilliant. That was a bang on taste. I enjoyed it.Had a pint to go with it. But I wasn't here for the beverages.Service great, she didn't come over and bug me all the time which I prefer, the once check up was fine.Did I enjoy it? Yes, so much so, I got another to go, too. I wanted to see how they reheated. The next day, heated them up and once again great. Maybe a bit of grease proof paper in there to stop the grease coming through the paper. Will I return you bet I will? It was worth the drive across the city, plus next time, I liked the look of the pies. I'm not a mushy pea fan even though I'm British. But curry sauce heck, yeah, sad to see there wasn't any. Thanks for a good meal.“
“I really like the place and I have visited it on several occasions, especially the one located on Granville Island. I just want to say that I am one of those who tip, not what they suggest, but according to the service and not the amount, which is what I see. What happened over the weekend when visiting them? In this case, I think the waiter expected much more than what he gave him and his reaction was somewhat rude and he did not hide his anger. It is not an obligation to do so, but they should emphasize that his reactions are not so noticeable. In my opinion, it somewhat tarnishes the excellent service that characterizes them.“
“We celebrate my son's birthday ! It was so good with the food and the portions. Tomahawk steak was a surprise to us with sauce cooked next to our table. Grilled seafood was tasty and Baked Alaska was another surprise to my son. We love the experience and it's worth to have a nice dinner there with the cost.“
“Love this place, from the first bite to the last the food is so tasty! Great short walk if you're in for a hospital stay or there with a partner and need to get away from the Cafeteria. There's your hot tip ?Wheelchair accessibility: Straight in from the street sidewalk.“
“In short, it could be seen as a clean seafood Korean restaurant. The atmosphere is so clean and spicy that it makes you want to drink soju even during the day. It is not a residential area or a shopping mall, so it is quiet during the day but is expected to be very crowded in the evening. Since they are open until 11 o'clock, most sales seem to be made at night.“
“Went in for the "All you can eat" fish n chips. Was a good experience, each piece of fish was much bigger than I expected. Couldn't go past 3 pieces because it is deep fried and quite oily, I did feel that the oil could've probably been drained out better. But they did deliver as promised! My advice is, don't waste much of ur appetite on the fries as you don't have to finish the fries before ordering more fish.“
“We dined here tonight as part of Bite of Burnaby. We both ordered the prix fixe menu and one 3 course wine pairing. If you have never been the Hart House is a lovely, quaint old heritage building (so there is the occasional ant visiting, and the A/C is open window(s) - keep that in mind on a hot non-breezy day). The service was attentive, friendly and excellent (other than a delay of several minutes before the arrival of the dessert wine caught up with the dessert). The meal began with a surprise: a delicious amuse bouche with duck and hummus in a pastry shell. We both had the Caesar salad (after all its the Ides of March LOL). Fresh, mild with caramelized bacon zing. The mains were the Short Rib and Steelhead. I couldn't have been happier with the Short Rib. It makes me want to come back and have it again tomorrow. The Steelhead was also delicious. However, the pickled turnip was inconsistent and clashed terribly with the wine, which otherwise paired beautifully with the Steelhead. So ...use it as a palate cleanser and alternate it and the wine with the main in-between. Worked out well.I had the pair-me-with-pear cocktail and it was a tickle for the tastebuds throughout the meal.We both had the maple creme brulee and it made Canada proud. Fantastic layers of hard vs silk, warm vs cold, sweet vs ...sweeter. Divine.I definitely recommend going during Bite of Burnaby! I would happily go again.Parking: Reasonable number of spots a short walk from the restaurant.“
“Went for the first time a few days ago and Jilvian was the one who helped me and I was blown away with the service! Had never had poké before and Jilvian was so patient, detailed and just helpful overall to support me with my choices! She’s the reason I’ve come back since and every time has been a delight no matter who was in! Food has been delicious and fresh each time and I can’t wait to go back for more! Thank you Jilvian and team!“
“We ordered the Pad See Ew beef and Basil Beef with fried egg, both spicy, and they sure delivered on the heat – in the best way possible! The flavors were authentic and delicious, and the spice level was just right for us. The staff was incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming vibe of the place. Can't wait to come back for more!“
“The waitress was very helpful, kind, and considerate.I ordered:One corn salad inari sushi. One tempura inari sushi. One unagi inari sushi.Three spicy inari sushi.I loved everything, everything tasted perfect. Especially the rice that was made with sesame oil, it had a perfect balance. The toppings for each sushi was fantastic, very tasty and wonderful.Highly recommended. The price was roughly $23 dollars, this was a good price. Please note:I cut the size of the box with scizzers because I wanted a clear picture.“
“I moved into the neighborhood recently from North Burnaby which has an excellent food scene. I’ve eaten here a couple times now, and everything was excellent each time. Delicious wontons, wonderful Shanghai noodles, and warm friendly service from a lovely family run establishment. Highly recommend to everyone hungry for delicious food.“
“Clean, Happy and delicious Pizza Pietra, siezed my day ?At first I was hesitant because of the mixed reviews but I really wanted to give it a try, especially because of the praised stone oven and authentic dough.I've been to most regions of Italy, ate a lot of very good pizza and I must say this pizza restaurant reminded me the times I was in Mediterranean. You must use good quality ingredients and have precise dough craftsmanship, and have the right oven with the correct temperature to make a delicious pizza. But every body knows, in our modern times, this equation is quite impossible in big cities because of the cost and profit concerns. But in this pizza shop they nearly got the perfect combination. They have a real stove oven at the right temperature, good quality ingredients and handmade authentic dough. Both pizza and Foccacia are nicely crusty and juicy. The Tomato sauce is not bitter nor too sweet, just yummy and fresh ;-).Toppings and mozzarella have a very good price to quality ratio. All the ingredients are really really fresh ?A suggestion for them, I think you should make a pizza with different ingredients which are hard to find in PoCoAnd for me the most important thing , people in this pizza shop are really happy, hospitable, positive and energetic. They really smile to you because they just want to. The total vibe is just like the warm and welcoming family owned pizza shops in Italy too ??.Ps: I asked the owner to tour the kitchen because of my cleanliness obsession. And yes he let me to quickly tour the kitchen and I'm amazed, this is a really really clean kitchen for BC standarts ?Vegetarian options: They have a choice of veggie pizza and pideParking: In front of the shop I found a great space for parkingKid-friendliness: When I was there, there is a family with kids and everybody was happyWheelchair accessibility: They have“
“Delight Street Food Restaurant offers authentic, generous portions with flavorful tandoori veg momos and delicious sauce. The Amritsari khatte laddo was enjoyable, paired perfectly with a refreshing salad. The ambiance, highlighted by the music, added to the overall satisfying experience.“
“This was phenomenal. I have arrived from Toronto, Canada. I love the Toronto Maple Leafs but holy moly this was delicious and outstanding quality and service. Quantity was so much, I have taken it home with me. I would like to thank the entire family for their hospitality, love and passion. They have outdone themselves with their product and service. They have shut down the competition and I highly recommend everyone to try this restaurant once, twice and trice. I love the Gumber family and would like to congratulate them on their success.Vegetarian options: Best in CanadaParking: Best in Canada“
“Food was pretty good overall and service was on par as well. I just wish they had better sweet Lassi. I had specifically asked the server to make it only if their Dahi wasn't soury(Khatta). I think poor thing tried her best so nothing against her but someone should try and see how fresh Lassi tastes and perhaps try to use fresh yogurt if possible. Other than that we were pretty happy with the food and service.“
“Honestly would of taken a picture of the food but was too good to stop myself. Perfectly cooked chicken, nicely seasoned and good portions. If you even have the taste for spice it’s worth trying out their other options. Recommend any chicken fan or not to try this place.Parking: Some parking behind, parking lot directly off side of building.“
“Best happy lamb location. Even though I live near the other ones I’ll always make the trip out to the Coquitlam location. Self serve food, quick service and fountain drinks are now included. Although I wish they still had mussels and the lamb shanks ?“
“Update*Still a great part of an evening even though the menu has been updated, darn.Enjoyed sable fish and scallop mains starting with bread and charcuterie. This was all great, however the standout of the evening was the server, depending on your point of view you will want to adopt, marry or hire.Yes, service was perfect, thank you.“
“Nothing like warm soup on a cold day. Came here with family & service was quick & efficient. Typical set up of tables and booths located in plaza near Hmart so plenty of parking. Seafood Pancake - this nailed it for the top crispy part of a seafood Pancake but the bottom of pancake was absent or missing. Maybe they were trying for a less heavy pancake but for the price I expected a bit more. Bolgolgi & Octopus Hot Pot - good size for sharing between 2 people and maybe a 3rd with a smaller appetite. Good portion of flavorful beef & octopus. Feel the place should be rated a bit higher than what it is currently.“
“Fresno Inn: Family-Friendly Feast with Heartwarming HospitalityOur recent visit to Fresno Inn was more than just a meal; it was a heartwarming experience brimming with genuine hospitality. The staff's patience and kindness shone brightly, especially when it came to my indecisive kids. They answered their questions with smiles and offered suggestions without being pushy, making them feel heard and valued. This attentiveness extended beyond the servers. The owner, Amandeep, personally inquired about our food and gathered feedback. It was a small gesture that spoke volumes about their dedication to customer satisfaction.Speaking of the food, it was delicious and plentiful! We enjoyed classic comfort dishes made with fresh ingredients, leaving everyone happy and satisfied. The portions were generous, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to value for money. The cherry on top? When I realized I'd left my phone behind after the restaurant closed, Amandeep graciously let me back in to retrieve it. This act of kindness cemented our positive impression and solidified Fresno Inn as a place that goes the extra mile for its patrons.“
“Without a doubt, the food. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, The flavors were authentic and rich, with just the right balance of spices. it's worth mentioning that the prices were a bit on the higher side. While the quality of the food and service justified the cost to some extent, it's something to keep in mind if you're dining on a budget.“
“Always delicious!! it's a family tradition that we go here every year and then head to the burnaby heritage village. Their spicy chicken wings and wonton soup are AMAZING!! and the service is great! lots of traditional dishes. The Gai Lan is great! Love “
“First time there today! Beautifully buttered & toasted authentic lobster roll bun. Delightful chunks of lobster, seasoned lightly to ensure the flavour of the lobster shone through. All in all a worthwhile trip to Port Moody. Thanks Sing Lobster, we will see you again.“
