“Came across this place while up in Delta, BC and I'm really glad we did. From the moment we walked in, every single staff member greeted us warmly — the kind of welcome where you can tell people actually enjoy being there.
The food was the real surprise. We ordered the fry bread with beer cheese to start, then a chicken dip sandwich and a chicken caesar schnitzel for mains, plus a flight of their house-brewed beer. Everything was outstanding — the sandwiches, the fries, the apps, all of it. Nothing missed.
If you're anywhere near Delta, this place is worth going out of your way for. We'll definitely be back.“

“Ordered for the first time last night for 12 of us and it was great! Had ginger beef (a bit dry but tasty), chicken chow mein, lemon chicken, fried rice, corn soup, a szechaun beef and a green bean with pork version. All of it was good! Would order again for sure. Lots of leftovers too.“

“The service was perfect. The asian lady who served us was very good. She also made sure I was not out of water. I would say the chowder was a tad too salty but that is probably to be expected. The fish actually contained a good amount of fish and not just stuffed with batter. Overall, good service, and food (just a tad too salty). But beyond, that it was perfect.“

“Came for the Tuesday night Peking Duck special. All the food was excellent, as usual. Service was prompt, and pacing was great. Quality of ingredients was top notch in all the dishes.
If you park in the orange area of the parking garage and give them your license plate and stall number when you check in, you get free parking too!“

“We had a great experience here at Cocknet Kings. We had the pleasure of being served by 'Kat with the Hat' - a great hostess. We ordered the Signature Soup - a nice start to the food. We ordered a combo dinner of Snapper & Haddock - the snapper fish was really soft and delicious. The haddock another specialty treat. Both were served with coleslaw salad, Roll & butter and chips (French fries) which was really tasty
We further ordered their homemade lemonade which was a nice refreshing drink after the food. Really reasonable prices for the meal with great customer service. We highly recommend this amazing restaurant with their warm staff.“

“Food was very delicious. Everything tasted seriously fresh! At most other seafood restaurants that I’ve eaten at, you sometimes occasionally bite into or eat a bad shellfish which can ruin the experience. But this place, everything tasted fresh and not a single bad shellfish to be had!“

“I rarely leave reviews, but as a huge lover of Japanese cuisine, I couldn't skip this one.
In terms of quality, the food here easily stands shoulder-to-shoulder with high-end spots like Miku or the Fairmont, but at a fraction of the cost. It’s unfair to compare this place to your typical neighborhood sushi joint—the culinary experience here is in a completely different league.
I genuinely hope they keep serving this level of delicious, diverse food and fine wine at these incredible prices for a long time. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly!“

“We met up with friends for dinner at this restaurant we had seen on social media. We ordered a variety of appetizers, including sashimi, sushi, a dinner combo, and tempura. While everything was delicious, except for the tempura, which was given to us a second time, the coating was too heavy and thick, making it heavy and not light. Otherwise, the food was great, and the staff was fantastic, friendly, and attentive to our drinks.“

“Amazing food, with high quality ingredients and a friendly staff. We tried the beef rice bowl, crispy shrimp tempura donburi, and a (very) fresh spicy salmon avocado onigiri. We just wish the portions were bigger just because everything was so tasty!“

“My favorite restaurant ive been to in Richmond. The food is phenomenal, especially the signature fish on the menu. During our visit here, we've gone twice for dinner. Prices are reasonable for the quality as well. Some waiters only speak Mandarin.“

“Tai Er is still one of my favourite spots in Richmond for Chinese sauerkraut fish. I remember coming here back when they were even better—using live fish and making their own sauerkraut in-house in those big jars. They don’t do that anymore, which is a bit of a shame, but the sauerkraut fish is still one of the best in Vancouver.
I also like that they’ve expanded the menu to include more Chinese stir-fry dishes. I also always order now the deep fried shirmp in mayo—it’s crispy, creamy, and absolutely addictive.
Even though some things have changed over the years, Tai Er is still my go-to when I’m craving that signature Chinese sauerkraut fish. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of bold, sour, spicy Sichuan flavours!“

“I’ve gotten Steve’s Poke Bar every other week during my senior year in high school through Uber Eats, and they never disappoint. Bowl is always packed to the top and super accommodating to all of my strange requests. I went in-person today as I have graduated high school, and the nicest employee named Nevaeh helped me! I was worried that I came in too close to closing time, but she assured me it was no problem. 10/10 service, 10/10 food, 100% recommend. (They always have good BOGO deals on Uber as well, I look forward to eating at their UBC location!)“

“Late Post: an extravagant dinner but without the luxury features, vibe, decor or background music.
The outside of the restaurant seems a bit sketchy at first and the inside has an odd layout. They were previously located on Park Road years ago, now a block away in a senior only residential building and still using the same fixtures, tables and chairs but it is clean.
Quiet run down, but the dishes was delicious if you're after old school authentic flavours and back to basic to enjoy classic food this a place to be.
New location is a hidden gem that you can't see from the outside, but it's busy for down to earth Cantonese dinner, as menu less fancy and extensive compared to newer establishments. Many items you do need to pre-order though, sue to concept of simplicity.
I must say their steamed fish was really good, because havent enjoyed one just so perfectly cooked in a while. Their portion sizes and temperature of dishes is something to rave about too. Everything was cooked, seasoned and presented nicely. Just don't know why they didn't offer any fried rice when ordered the king crab.
You can bring your own wine at dinner for a corkage fee, but parking is limited in the garage.
However, IMO their dim sum lunch not as good.
Update: Golden Paramount Seafood Restaurant has received several awards, including being a winner of the Hennessy The Elite 10 Awards (Metro Vancouver) and having its chef, May Chau Siu-May, named Master Chef of the Year at the 2024 Chinese Restaurant Awards. The restaurant was recently also included in the 2025 Elite 30 list of the Chinese Restaurant Awards.
They are well known for their Pork Lung with Almond Soup that has great clean flavours with a lovely balance between sweet meatiness and slightly bitter nuttiness a result of careful slow cooking. This soup sells out regularly each night.“

“The Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs and Sweet and Sour Pork were both outstanding! They stayed true to the classic Cantonese flavors while adding some creative touches in both presentation and taste, making them really memorable and worth trying.
Unlike many Cantonese restaurants that serve great food with little attention to presentation, every dish here was beautifully plated and looked just as impressive as it tasted. It’s clear the chefs put thought into both the flavor and the overall dining experience. Highly recommended!“

“Tried this highly rated Seafood place tonight. Ordered the Spicy Stir Fried Manila Clams and the Seafood Fried Rice. The Clams were fat and juicy, and a lot of them, the sauce was great. the Seafood Fried Rice was OK, lacking a little flavour so I put the sauce from the clams on the rice. All in all, pretty good, one of the coolest Chinese restaurants I’ve been to.“

“This was our second time visit Sushi Mura at the River Crossing District. The food was so good and sashimi so fresh.
The salmon sashimi cuts were thick where I had to take two bites to finish them, and if you know me I eat a lot.
Service was friendly and attentive. We went around 5pm and the restaurant wasn’t busy, but was full by the end of our meal. Our ordered meals came out in about 10 minutes. We ordered a udon soup, beef teriyaki, chirashi-don bowl and an order of salmon sashimi.“

“If you’re a fan of Korean-style BBQ, love meat, and have a big appetite, this place is definitely worth checking out! I came here for the AYCE dinner and really enjoyed the fresh meat selection.
There weren’t too many veggie options, though. For the seafood, I’d stick with the shrimp and scallops. Unfortunately, some of the other seafood items I tried had sand in them, so I wouldn’t recommend those.
The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with fun music and enthusiastic staff. It was still pretty busy when I left around 9 p.m. Overall, a fun spot if you’re mainly here for the BBQ and meat!“

“We went on a Thursday for lunch, wasn’t too crowded, the seatings were very spacious, and the staff were nice👍🏻 We got the Pork Stomach with Pepper Soup and the Chicken Wings with Salted Egg Yolk. It was my first time having these two dishes and they were both out of the world😮 The staff came at the right timings to add soup for us, but weren’t like some over-friendly people I’ve encountered before that come every 2 minutes asking you how everything was🤣 Too bad I don’t live in Vancouver, otherwise this would be a place that I want to go to often😩“

“This is a solid spot for traditional Chinese food with consistently good execution. Standout dishes for us were the Chinese chicken salad, the lobster sticky rice, and the Capital pork loin—all flavourful and well prepared. We also tried the Peking duck; while the slices were a bit thicker than ideal, it still tasted great overall.
Portion sizes were generally decent, and service was friendly and attentive. The manager even remembers me despite not being a frequent visitor, which is a nice touch. Food came out quite quickly, though some dishes understandably take longer than others.
The atmosphere is family-style and unpretentious, and it can get busy on weekends. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality makes it feel fair rather than frustrating. Parking can be a little limited, so it’s best to plan ahead, especially during busy hours.
A good choice for family dinners or groups of friends—reliable food, warm service, and no unnecessary fuss.“

“Very authentic Shanghainese cuisine. Generous portions as well. Definitely one of our go to's.
If you are eating dinner there, I would strongly recommend eating the first round, so 5 or 5:30pm, because parking is very limited. There's also paid street parking on Alexandra Road.
Also make sure to make a reservation, especially on the weekends, to make sure you get a table!
One interesting photo to share .. the large wonton chicken soup is a sight to behold! The photo doesn't show how massive it is. It can easily feed ~12+ people with seconds to spare!“

“This restaurant is small and cozy, with about ten tables, and the prices are very reasonable. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet my expectations. Every dish I ordered tasted extremely light. While I appreciate that they seem to avoid MSG, the flavors were so mild that I found myself hesitating with every bite.
I ordered the fish congee, and the fish arrived as one large piece rather than slices. The congee itself had almost no fish taste at all. What surprised me most is how busy the restaurant was. Perhaps affordability is the main reason people come, but personally, I prefer stronger flavors and better quality.“

“Chucila Restaurant quickly became a favorite. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who make you feel looked after from the moment you walk in. Dishes are fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented—comforting without being heavy. We shared a few plates and loved the balance of bright flavors and thoughtful textures; you can tell care goes into every detail. Drinks were on point and paired nicely with the food. It’s the kind of spot that works for a casual dinner with friends or a low-key date night. Tip: arrive a little early—popular items go fast. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.“

“Visited this restaurant during my trip to Vancouver and had a very enjoyable dining experience.
The food was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The presentation was elegant without being overly complicated. What impressed me most was the attention to detail in both the dishes and the service.
The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, making it a great place for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout the evening.
Vancouver has many excellent dining options, and this restaurant stands out for its consistency, quality, and hospitality. I would happily return on my next visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.“

“I'm not really sure why this place has low ratings. I have been coming here for the past decade or so. Always delicious food and great service. They cook food with a lot of "wok hey". I recommend the sweet and sour pork, stir fry pea sprouts (dou miu), scallop egg white fried rice, soya sauce chicken was the best, and their fried fish. Dessert was yummy too - green bean sweet soup with taro. Haven't had that in a very long time. This is a hidden canto gem in Richmond. Highly recommend!!
