“It had such a high rating that I had to check it out.Food I would have given you a 4.5 out of 5, but you were better than a 4, so 5 it is. It was the small plates that did it for me. It was the illusion of more food than there was. On the whole the food was excellent, a good choice of potatoes very good flavor. I had the Haddock one of my favorite good flavourful fish. Coleslaw was brilliant. That was a bang on taste. I enjoyed it.Had a pint to go with it. But I wasn't here for the beverages.Service great, she didn't come over and bug me all the time which I prefer, the once check up was fine.Did I enjoy it? Yes, so much so, I got another to go, too. I wanted to see how they reheated. The next day, heated them up and once again great. Maybe a bit of grease proof paper in there to stop the grease coming through the paper. Will I return you bet I will? It was worth the drive across the city, plus next time, I liked the look of the pies. I'm not a mushy pea fan even though I'm British. But curry sauce heck, yeah, sad to see there wasn't any. Thanks for a good meal.“
“We celebrate my son's birthday ! It was so good with the food and the portions. Tomahawk steak was a surprise to us with sauce cooked next to our table. Grilled seafood was tasty and Baked Alaska was another surprise to my son. We love the experience and it's worth to have a nice dinner there with the cost.“
“We dined here tonight as part of Bite of Burnaby. We both ordered the prix fixe menu and one 3 course wine pairing. If you have never been the Hart House is a lovely, quaint old heritage building (so there is the occasional ant visiting, and the A/C is open window(s) - keep that in mind on a hot non-breezy day). The service was attentive, friendly and excellent (other than a delay of several minutes before the arrival of the dessert wine caught up with the dessert). The meal began with a surprise: a delicious amuse bouche with duck and hummus in a pastry shell. We both had the Caesar salad (after all its the Ides of March LOL). Fresh, mild with caramelized bacon zing. The mains were the Short Rib and Steelhead. I couldn't have been happier with the Short Rib. It makes me want to come back and have it again tomorrow. The Steelhead was also delicious. However, the pickled turnip was inconsistent and clashed terribly with the wine, which otherwise paired beautifully with the Steelhead. So ...use it as a palate cleanser and alternate it and the wine with the main in-between. Worked out well.I had the pair-me-with-pear cocktail and it was a tickle for the tastebuds throughout the meal.We both had the maple creme brulee and it made Canada proud. Fantastic layers of hard vs silk, warm vs cold, sweet vs ...sweeter. Divine.I definitely recommend going during Bite of Burnaby! I would happily go again.Parking: Reasonable number of spots a short walk from the restaurant.“
“Went for the first time a few days ago and Jilvian was the one who helped me and I was blown away with the service! Had never had poké before and Jilvian was so patient, detailed and just helpful overall to support me with my choices! She’s the reason I’ve come back since and every time has been a delight no matter who was in! Food has been delicious and fresh each time and I can’t wait to go back for more! Thank you Jilvian and team!“
“Honestly would of taken a picture of the food but was too good to stop myself. Perfectly cooked chicken, nicely seasoned and good portions. If you even have the taste for spice it’s worth trying out their other options. Recommend any chicken fan or not to try this place.Parking: Some parking behind, parking lot directly off side of building.“
“I was referred by a friend to visit the place to try their $10.99 special. Fish filets with cream corn sauce on rice was one my childhood favorite and still is. It was absolutely delicious. Fish filets are crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The cream corn sauce was perfectly done. It was a very good meal for $12.10 taxed in. (How do they survive with the pricing during these times? ?). Will return to try other stuff on the menu!“
“Without a doubt, the food. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, The flavors were authentic and rich, with just the right balance of spices. it's worth mentioning that the prices were a bit on the higher side. While the quality of the food and service justified the cost to some extent, it's something to keep in mind if you're dining on a budget.“
“Always delicious!! it's a family tradition that we go here every year and then head to the burnaby heritage village. Their spicy chicken wings and wonton soup are AMAZING!! and the service is great! lots of traditional dishes. The Gai Lan is great! Love “
“I have come here 19 times in the past 4 years for a mix of dim sum and dinner. I even hosted an event here.Food and service are always good. Lots of parking. Price is reasonable. This is pretty much my default restaurant with my family and my recommendation for Chinese restaurant in Burnaby.Thank you for the consistent good food and service.“
“Nice restaurant inside Executive suite hotel. Service is quick and food is tasty too. Our server Victoria was very helpful. Ambience is good, very quiet and very spacious. I would highly recommend this place.Parking: free parking for restaurant guests“
“We came here for our Strathcona Elementary School Lunar New Year Dim Sum and the experience was top notch. The food came out within 10mins of us placing the order. All our dishes were amazingly tasty. I would highly recommend you order the Mango Duck dessert. ??You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes here. Just keep ordering like we did. ?The waitress kept our teapot and hot water topped constantly. ? Will definitely be back.“
“A Chinese restaurant that North Burnaby can be happy about, much better than Wah Lun that was here before. The chefs here are good, just about everything is good in flavor not too salty or oily. It gets busy on weekends and holidays so best come early to get a table for lunch. Parking gets full easily but the city has parking lots very close by here“
“Fresh seafood dishes along with plenty of Chinese dishes to appeal to just about any palate preferences. We tried their a la carte dishes for dinner as well as their king crab special dinner. Great tastes with good service in a comfortable setting.Parking: Free parking on power levels P1 and P2. Do not park at the surface level spaces.“
“It was not easy to find this restaurant, located on the second floor near another restaurant, I really liked sushi and rolls. Quickly made the order and the pleasant staff. I don’t understand why this place has a small rating. I’ll go back there again.A check for two for two servings of rolls and two nigiri and a coke. it came out $72In addition, you can add cheese cream to the rolls for this special thanks, it’s super“
“Went for my wife’s birthday on Saturday and we had the best time.“Dan the man “ our server is the best server we’ve ever had since I’ve been here from 2008Very personable friendly and knew the menu inside out.Best asset to the keg as will recommend this location for him first and a close second the food and atmosphere.“
