“Oyster Bar was amazing.Food was amazing and fresh. Paella, Tuna tartar, and more. You can't miss the opportunity to make new memories for your palate and with some friends or family.Be ready to eat lots. And drink as much as you can drive home.“
“Went for a wedding reception where we were in the secret side room. The drinks were very good! Food was tasty (everyone liked what they ordered) and the service was at a good pace.If your looking for a place to host a nice dinner for up to 50ppl, this would be a good choice.Parking can be a bit of a pain, but it is a short walk from the Yaletown SkyTrain station, and lots of ride shares (Uber etc) around.“
“The food, specifically NewYork steak, lobster, baked potato and vegetables, were all amazing and the service was no different. I took my mom there for a nice fancy dinner and neither of us were disappointed at all. The server was very friendly and polite which made for a fantastic dining experience. Without a doubt we will be going back again. Oh ya, and the cheese bread there is a must try, absolutely delicious. Enjoy!“
“Okay, full disclosure - I do not like to spend money on food I can prepare at home but, I love Riley's and my wife and I especially enjoy Happy Hour in the summer and go for the Oysters and, the Oysters and the Oysters - yup, 3 sometimes 4 dozen - I know... oink, oink! Anyway, this place is great and I love the service. They remembered one of our visits I was a bit cold on the patio and on the next visit, the hostess made a point of coming to our table and asking if I was comfortable - really... that has never happened to me before, what a wonderful gesture - I was fine and she made my even even better by caring! The menu is great, the kitchen is competent with their steak - which is often not the case in most eateries I find. Their appies are my favourite and often simply order two or three and either a Martini or a chewy IPA. We return regularly and cannot wait until the patios is open and it's a bit warmer - we'll be there - look for the table piled high with oyster shell! Enjoy!“
“During my business trip in Vancouver I attended a dinner at carderos with a group. The patio was the perfect ambiance. We were served by the charming Pete. He was attentive, intelligent, entertaining and very kind. His extensive knowledge about the menu and his friendly demeanor made our dining experience enjoyable and memorable. We were provided with a group specific menu but Pete let us order a few extra dishes a la carte. Ask him about the fried oysters, he will tell you the truth! By the end of our meal, we unanimously declared Pete as the top waiter we encountered in Vancouver. Danke Carderos and Pete!“
“We hosted our management team dinner in the private Garden room. I want to give special thanks to our server Harshik who was very attentive, kind and prompt! He never let a glass go empty and was very professional. We will be back, and asking for him specifically! Lovely view and delicious food!Jennifer“
“We had a company team lunch well planned and organized. Food was made to perfection with great cocktails. Clam chowder soup and meat balls were great for starters. Main course had the perfect blend of protein and vegetables. We were too full to have dessert and complete the meal so we decided to get takeout for desserts. Service was extremely good providing courteous and quick response to meet the needs“
“I am a huge fan of fish and chips. This place becomes one of my favorite.I ordered cod n chip + clam chowder. If you are used to creamy chowder then you might not like it. Fish is very good and fries are excellent. This place beats all the one in Richmond BC.Deep fried foods are all greasy but at least after eating their fish & chips, it doesn’t make me feel I have a scoop of oil inside my mouth.“
“The food was some of the most impressive I've had in Vancouver. The scallop dish, beef tartare, and the winter salad were fantastic. Wish the oysters didn't have little pieces of shell in it and the service could've been a smidge more attentive, but no big complaints. Will be back!“
“The Poke at Steve’s Yaletown is so fresh and delicious! I love how much variety they have and the staff are awesome at helping you decide, too! The Hawaiian fruit tea drink is SO refreshing! My first time visiting and definitely won’t be my last.“
“We paid the one price each and let the chef send over the plates. Wow so glad we did this. Huge assortment and tried things I never would have ordered that were awesome. Service was fast and the cocktails were very good Cannot wait to go again“
“This is a great restaurant with amazing food and amazing service. I've been several times and will continue visiting.Parking: There is a parking lot in the back but also plenty of street parking in the front and side streets.Wheelchair accessibility: The sidewalks are wheelchair friendly but there is a step up into the restaurant.“
“My partner and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at the Teahouse and it was a perfect and magical venue! The space was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were kind, supportive and professional throughout the entire process of planning our wedding. The atmosphere was great for an intimiate wedding, and the location offers mountains, ocean, and forest, perfect for varied photos! Absolutely wonderful and we would not have changed a thing! Thank you Teahouse for making our day even more special <3“
“The DINE-OUT menus provided good choices. Appetizers - BEETROOT KEBABS was a perfect fresh start. CHICKEN LOLIPOPS was deep-fried to the right degree. The unfolding of the drumstick meat to form a lolipop shape generated fine crispiness. Entrees - CHARMINAR CHICKEN and SPICY RARA GHOST were both tasty in its own unique ways. They were perfect company of the rice and naan options provided. We all loved the coconut rice, and onion-cilantro naan. The rich diversity of vegetable, herbs, spices, and sauces; as well as the food colours, presentations, dinnerwares, warm and ethnic decor ... made us felt like a feast than a simple lunch. Last of all, the central location of Sula on Main gave us good convenience to go home by public transit.“
“#kingcrabfeast? upscale, live fish tanks, street parking, free parkade, excellent service."Not only is it one of the recommended restaurants by Michelin Guide Vancouver, Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is also the winner of Vancouver’s Chinese Restaurant Awards in the Best Dim Sum and Best Cantonese categories in 2022. With such a profile, I had very high expectations, and Dynasty totally delivered"“
“After coming in frigid, crew let us stay inside while we waited for seats. They were IMMENSELY kind and made my partner and I feel incredibly welcome. Shout out to Ian and Mehdl, who went above and beyond for us. We'll definitely make our way back, again, when we're next in Vancouver.“
“Not a fish and chips expert but I think theirs is great. I liked the crispy batter on the fish, and the fish was good too. Chips had a nice crunch to them. There some oil since it's fried but just enough I think. Passed by this place frequently but hadn't gone in till now. The exterior is very unassuming. Inside it's actually spacious, if nothing extravagant.“
“We went for a birthday dinner and we were treated like royalty! We were greeted with champagne, and every menu option was outstanding:) It was hard to decide AND the cocktail menu was superb. The Dine Out Vancouver menu was fantastic, we had beef tartare, wild boar, duck, chicken, chocolate mousse cake and a personalized birthday creme brulée. Many items were on the house and we've already booked to come back at the end of the month with our parents! Run, don't walk, to Alouette! C'était super!! Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤“
“Always a great time here with the delicious food and great service. Been coming for years and it’s been spot on every time! Lunch and dinner is always great but maybe happy hour isn’t the best anymore? I do remember the salmon flatbread being a little crispier with sauce on it but the soft bread was so good still. The description also said honey and we could yell there wasn’t any honey on it. The sauce was on the end pieces only which was odd. The fish and chip cones were delicious as usual but the Oshi salmon pieces were smaller than before. The calamari was not crispy it was soggy which was disappointing, usually at a place like this it’s crispy and not soggy. I do recall it being better when I came for brunch a few months ago. Being a chef I try not to be picky but it was definitely a different experience. Nevertheless, everything was still good but I wouldn’t get the calamari again. Went for happy hour today and it was just lovely sitting on the patio again. Our server was amazing! Forgot her name. But we will be back again and again! Thanks Coast!“
“Had a great dinner here during happy hour. Our server Pierre was very kind and friendly.First time visiting granville and won't be the last time. Food is pricey so definitely save this place for a special occasion but worth it. Taste is better compared to sandbar.“
“The food was exceptional. Probably one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. The Smokey flavor really stood out and was cooked to perfection. Patrick our server provided an exceptional dining experience and was very attentive. Can’t wait to come back.“
“This place is kinda old but the taste is surprisingly goodBig portion + good taste + good price = full houseThis place so busy even on weekday’s morningThe shaomai ware huge , as big as my fist, the meat was hand cut and shrimp was big and tastyI saw every table ordered the sweet potato fried ball and we tried and it was so chewy and crispy I guess that’s their signature dishThe rice roll with perfect texture even plain one we had was really goodServer was very politeParking - free parking on next street, quite easy to find parking on weekdaysWorks out be $20 per person really well priced…….Ordered a take out steak chicken rice super big portion only $10 really good priceParking: Free street Parking in next street“
“Just discovered this place today and it was such an amazing experience. Great food as well, not like the ones I've always had which are sometimes too salty or too bland, this one is just fantastically balanced flavors. Would definitely come back with my friend!“
“We normally love The Keg, but our experience last night wasn’t the best. Ryan, our server was good but the meal itself, wasn’t up to Keg standards in our eyes. The appys were fine but the wedge salad had virtually no tomatoes or bacon! Our filet was very rare instead of medium rare- we usually share but it was too underdone for me. And.. there’s nothing like a Keg baked potato, they’re usually piping hot and always soft inside. Our butter couldn’t even melt the first one was so cool, they did bring us a second one that was slightly warmer but far from hot.Not the best experience and considering the $200+ price tag pre tip- somewhat of a disappointing experience. Not sure we’ll be back to the Alberni location.“
“Best Thai food in the town!I’ve been trying different Thai restaurants and this is the best.Really flavorful tamarind Pad Thai!!!! Some restaurants don’t use tamarind sauce but tomato sauce instead. This Pad Thai is the best one I’ve tried so far and they can do really spicy too ( more than Thai spicy ).Not only Pad Thai but other dishes are good too, such as Khao Soi chicken, pad see ew, curries and soup. The chef is from Thailand and has decades of experience. She said customers are like her kids and she enjoys making delicious food for us and seeing us eating happily!Highly recommend!!!!!!Parking: Underground parking“
“Lovely Weekend Brunch restaurant!Came here for my birthday brunch and the food and service were all exceptional! We ordered the Croque Monsieur Benedict, Two Eggs any Style with Smoked Steelhead, and Seafood Crepes.Everything was delicious!Thank you to Ash and Pauline for making our experience so enjoyable and memorable.See you again soon!“
“Wonderful sushi. They had Uni Nigiri at a very reasonable price. Saba Nigiri had Yuzu leaves on the top (not just green onion pieces) - that was a nice touch. Also real crab meat California Roll was very tasty. In addition, each piece of Nigiri sushi had a bit of wasabi underneath. That was excellent. I love this sushi spot. I will be returning.“
“One of the best restaurants that I truly enjoyed in Vancouver. The staff were friendly, drinks and food were amazing, very tasty and very creative. I enjoyed every bite of my food. We ordered few items to try and every dish was better than the other. Perfect quality!“
“Best Halibute Fish and Chips you can get. The resteraunt is very crowded with locals since it is a place worth returning to. The Fisherman's Warf area; where it is located, is a great place to get fresh fish. The views of downtown Vancouver and water are amazing. The only possible issue is that all dining is outdoors and is perfect if the weather is good. Since no covered eating area can be a problem in the rain. This is a must try place when in Vancouver, but I would recommend checking the weather 1st.“
“Quarantine oysters ! ordering & picking up was an easy and smooth experience. they package the oysters and sauces/horse radish really well for to-go. You get all the works for home enjoyment! pricing is fair and quality is great! Will definitely order again :)“
“I have been curious for a while to try this comfort-fine dining experience. I found the flavors interesting, although I believe that more complex could be achieved on the dishes. What I missed was some flavor intensity that would make my food more memorable.Probably my favorite dish was the fried chicken and the dips that came with it were well-thought.My minced pork belly bowl was interesting. The pasta in my friend's dish were al-dente. I recognize the effort and the vision here. What is missing for me is some details that could make this experience even better.“
“Love this place. Lived literally across the street for so many years and been here so many times on the patio with beers ? and we love their Seafood club sandwich and dirty fries ? omg!! I’ll grab pics next time as it’s our favourite in the area and have ordered it at least 10 times. Thanks guys!! Great place to go “
“We were there last night Nov.28. Ordered Steak bites and Brussel sprouts to share with table. It was delicious. Dinner did not disappoint either. Sent our compliments to the chef. He surprised us with champagne for the table, how nice is that!! Our server was also very, very nice! Would highly recommend it for dinner. We will be back for sure!“
“Wonderful dinner. We started with a selection of fresh oysters on the half shell. My wife enjoyed the seafood linguine, and I had the NY strip. Generous portions of seafood in the linguine, the shrimp, and scallops were huge. My steak was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth flavourful. We finished the meal with coffee and Pavlova for dessert.Good value for the cost.“
“I've been searching for the ideal burger for me and I think I've found it! Their cheeseburger is tasty with good meat to bun ratio. The veggies are fresh and cheese is melted perfectly. Their fries are flavourful, crispy on the outside and cut thick. The ambience is much like most hotel restaurants in the area but I especially enjoyed their live music on a Saturday evening with covers of the Eagles, the Knack and Eric Clapton among others. The staff are always friendly. I'd recommend visiting Showcase for great food with an equally great ambiance.“
“A nice restaurant with delicious dishes for a very decent price. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or a meat eater you'll find what you like. We had the vegetarian (paneer) and chicken momo, the vegetarian chow mein and szechuan rice with chicken.“
“Some time ago, I was fiending for some authentic Japanese onigiri and homestyle food fare since Hi-Genki closed it's doors to the public, and found this little restaurant. It sure hits the spot. The onigiri come nicely shaped, and they have various, classic toppings/flavours, separated into meat/veggie/seafood categories. My personal favourites are ikura, unagi, and pork miso, and they have monthly special onigiris as well. The cream crab and butter scallop were great when they were available. The ikura are nice and big, most likely chum salmon roe from my observation (as someone who buys various sokijo/ikura from fishermen either at ColdFish or Steveston wharf in Richmond when available).Luckily, I'm in the area every week with my young son, and it's his favourite place to eat.He loves onigiris so much, whatever food we are eating for dinner at home, he wants nori seaweed and koshihikari rice to make onigiris out of them, I had to stop him not to make a bulgogi beef congee onigiri...The rest of the food fare has a homestyle vibe in it's preparation, reminiscent to the ever popular Hi-Genki, and there is a lot to choose from the menu.My only criticism is that the place is tiny and has limited seating. The small size does add to it's charm though.Highly recommended!Kid-friendliness: Lots of food the kids will enjoy, seating is good for young children.“
“Me and my family went there yesterday. We had a great time and the food was great! They showed us the kid's menu while waiting for our seat so that our son wouldn't have to wait long for his order. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the ribs and burger . The hot bread with dip was excellent as well.“
“If you are in Vancouver and want an amazing dining experience, we highly recommend Lift Bar and Grill. We dined here for supper on June 3, 2023, and absolutely loved the atmosphere as well as the food! Waterfront dining (they provide indoor/outdoor and roof top dining), with the water and mountain views was spectacular as we watched the sunset on the water. Our server Sean was very pleasant and courteous and made our time there very enjoyable. We started with Caesars and Soughdough Baguette, and then shared a Scallop & Prawns Linguine (we have smaller appetites). Both were absolutely Amazing dishes! The surprise birthday dessert was very much appreciated and delicious! We would say the cost is average for Vancouver restaurant dining. This is not a fast food restaurant, but chef prepared and is reflected in the presentation and taste! We will be back when we visit again!“
“This is my first time in this location, and I am satisfied with everything compared to my previous visit to another location. It is located on the second floor, and it is a considerable location. I visited on my BD, and I was served an undeniable ice cream cake.“
“I can’t say enough about this place. Our friends and family always choose this place for birthdays because the food and entertainment is so good! The food is always very fresh and tender. The flavours of the food and al the sauces, right down to the salad dressing!! YUMMYKid-friendliness: The kids love going here. It’s very entertaining and my son actually eats the food!!! He’s so pickyWheelchair accessibility: No steps“
“Wow. This place was incredible. The food the service the people. It doesn't get any better then this. Honestly the best oyster bar I've ever been too. Its a must try. Black caviar, fresh prawns beautiful chowder. Wow wow wow. They are doing it right.“
“Nice restaurantThey offer Peruvian and Japanese cuisineLike muted menuDelicious food.Their ceviche recipe is awesome I advise you to try.A little expensive 50-60 $ per person.Location is very strategic and you can reach easily via boats or Uber / Taxis.Better to reserve the table via phone. There are outdoor and indoor tables.“
“Due to traffic I was late for my reservation, but a simple phone call made the keg an unbelievable experience! I ordered my prime rib rare, they said that it was only available in medium rare, but still serve me my rare prime rib! My dear soon to be fiance, had the baseball sirloin and was very pleased with the outcome. The twice baked potato was delicious and the seasonal vegetables were perfectly cooked. Although they did not have the triple chocolate mousse I've heard so much about, they compensated for my soon-to-be fiance's birthday dinner with a free drink as they did not have the dessert that she desired. Our server was professional, accurate, Timely and even brought extra butter for the bread. She even understood when as we were in a rush for our experience at the Orpheum, that we were allowed to pay early to mitigate any tardiness. Unfortunately we had to park around the corner and down the street and the parking was expensive, the experience was exceptional. The Keg in Yale town is an experience worthy of your time!“
“This place is a low key, no frills, not fancy, good old traditional Cantonese food. The service is decent and if you’re a regular, you will also see the regulars everyday here, especially in the morning. The owner and staff are doing a great job here.I love coming here for dim sum. If you order before 11am you get 20% off your bill. If you order after 11am you get 10% off.Mon to Friday only. This place has tea fee for $1 per person. As for dinner I’m pretty impressed with their peeking duck. I’ve never been disappointed.“
“This sushi spot was absolutely fantastic. Great variety of options. The Crispy Gyoza was a nice starter and was made a bit different from what we were used to but delicious nonetheless. The Volcano Roll was delicious and a great taste all together. Just enough spice but not over powering. Unagi and Salmon Nigiri was fresh and a really nice portion. Salmon and Tuna Roll combo was a great choice as well.Service was great as well. The young lady was attentive but not hovering. She worked the small dining room like a pro.We look forward to returning to Vancouver and stopping in again.“
“I recently worked with Sage Catering professionally for an event that we were hosting called Homes For The Holidays. The team at Sage was responsive, flexible, professional, good natured and thoughtful. We were so grateful to with with such a reliable company for our event, and would gladly work with them in the future! Thank you very much for all your hard work.“
“Really awesome food. The place is tucked away, and the entrance is in between the other shops. The chef is very friendly and customized the dish. Really fresh, simple and awesome. Portions were probably one of the largest I have seen.Do not let the location deter you. Will highly recommend and definitely coming back the next time I am here.“
“The best old school steakhouse in town. Great atmosphere, attentive service, always a solid meal for business, special occasions, family gatherings or dining for one. Never miss their cheese bread, tableside caesar salad and steak tartare and enjoy the bananas foster show. Don't forget they have happy hour!“
“I had an incredible experience here last Friday! My friends hosted a surprise bridal shower for me in the private dining room. The staff were thoughtful and helpful with the setup, allowing my them to come in early to decorate the space. They also did a flawless job with executing the surprise by pretending to bring me to a table first. The server was fun, warm and attentive throughout the night and I feel terrible that I’m forgetting her name! All the food was delicious, which has been the case every time I’ve been to Boulevard.“
