What impressed us the most was his impeccable pacing; he managed to attend to every single table with absolute precision, without ever making anyone feel rushed. “I had an incredible experience here last Friday! My friends hosted a surprise bridal shower for me in the private dining room. The staff were thoughtful and helpful with the setup, allowing my them to come in early to decorate the space. They also did a flawless job with executing the surprise by pretending to bring me to a table first. The server was fun, warm and attentive throughout the night and I feel terrible that I’m forgetting her name! All the food was delicious, which has been the case every time I’ve been to Boulevard.“

As expected from the Glowbal Restaurant Group, the service was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress made the evening even more special—she happened to be a fellow Swiftie! We ended up having such a lovely chat about how we millennials grew up listening to Taylor Swift, which added a fun and personal touch to our celebration. She truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable. Not only did we receive a complimentary cake as a thoughtful gesture, but she also surprised me with a Swiftie friendship bracelet—such a sweet and unique detail that we’ll always remember. The food was amazing from start to finish. My husband had the New England Chowder for his appetizer, while I enjoyed the shrimp salad. For our mains, we both chose the surf n’ turf—our favorite—and it did not disappoint. We ended the night with a delicious sticky toffee pudding, along with the complimentary cake. “Finally!!!! I Drove over an hour to get here...been waiting to try and support Jack's for a long time. Let me say it was worth the wait! I was nervous with the size of the restaurant I wouldn't get a spot with my family but we got lucky and the ladies there were so friendly and smiled the whole time. We did the Family meal and it hit the spot allowing us to try many items on the menu. The bowl of chowder came first and it was so delicious, I appreciated the amount of clams and the touch of dill was great. The fish was awesome 😎 Batter and fish ratio was on point, every bite was so tasty. The popcorn shrimp were great to, batter and full shrimp was great! Fries were killer, hot crispy and that touch of vinegar or something just hits. My son couldn't stop eating them 😂 Last but not least that delicious coleslaw, those fresh apples and not soaked in dressing like some places...very well done. I know fish and chips and such is like art and music it's up to each individual what they like, but for me this is where I want my fish & chips and chowder going forward. Appreciate the family run business and passion and hope they can continue to serve and share that passion. See you again soon!“

The service attained and maintained a consistent level of efficiency and courtesy for the last 2 decades.
We enjoy the dim sums which are always delicate, light but flavourful.
For dinner, some spectacular dishes require pre-orders. We always enjoyed the braised duck on a bed of savoury mixed mushroom (forgot the proper name of the dish), and many more.“

But be careful with the gift card promo. If they know you’re using a gift card, they’ll say they don’t have smaller sizes (like crab, king crab, or certain fish), and then push you to order bigger, more expensive ones.
You end up spending more than you planned and getting way too much food that you can’t even finish. Kind of feels misleading.“

“We read about Forage in line and decided to try it. What a great decision! The food was excellent. As the idea is sharing plates we selected a number of small plates. We had the fish dip, with lovely homemade tortillas which were delicious. We had a spring salad, the zucchini salad, bison carpaccio, and smoked salmon- everything was great. Washed down with a nice Shiraz - what more could you want? Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend you to try.“

“Delicious Beijing roasted duck - probably the best I had in Vancouver. The skin is crispy and the meat is still juicy. You can tell that this is freshly prepared and with skill. The first course presents the duck cut in 2 different styles - skin only and skin with meat. I like both and I like the variety even more. 2nd course is served minced to accompany lettuce wrap.
I love the Tuesday promotional price too. Place is packed and everyone was ordering the duck.

“I attended my first game of the season Dec 10th. The Canucks played and lost to the Minnesota Wild. The lobster roll was honestly my favorite thing about attending Canucks’ games. The lobster roll tasted good. The lobster meat was cooked well and the texture perfect. I admit it’s been a few years since I had season tickets. I renewed this year and told everyone the lobster roll was a can’t miss. The lobster roll held it’s own but the new kettle chips are a miss. Bring back Ms Vickies! The kettle chips were hard and tasteless.“

It’s a bit pricier than some other Vietnamese restaurants, but the food is tasty and the portions are generous. They also provide three optional spicy sauces and pickled garlic so you can customize the flavour to your liking.

I had the Bun Cha, and it was excellent. The fish sauce had great flavour, and the spring rolls added a delicious crunch and texture to the dish. I’d happily Pho & Roll again!“

“Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. A huge thankyou to Barb and the entire Hy's team!“
