I ordered A Broad Idea and had way too much fun with the paintbrush, and my wife had the Elected Official which she loved.

Ended up chatting with Jordan for quite a while about cocktails and our mutual love of Fernet. Super solid guy, really knowledgeable and incredibly accommodating. He even made me a custom Fernet cocktail and surprised us with a dessert from their family menu, which was such a nice touch, especially for our anniversary.

Really appreciated the hospitality and the conversations. Easily one of the more memorable bar experiences we've had in Vancouver. We'll definitely be back!“

“I think this is a hidden gem on Commercials drive, they are located next to Havana and you have to go down some stairs to get there.

The service was nice, I would only encourage the staff to know more about the drinks they served, as I asked what liquor was in mine and they said tequila but it was actually mezcal... which I wasn't in the mood for that day.

They had all we wanted to order, the ceviche was delicious and you can actually taste the alcohol in their drinks!

Keep in mind they charge $6 extra if there is an live performance. I would recommend coming here is you are looking for Miami/tropical vibes.“

“This was my first time dining at Osteria Elio Volpe for brunch, and I had been wanting to check it out because I’m a huge fan of its sister restaurant, Savio Volpe. I’m happy to say that it was worth the visit!

We ordered the Potato Latkes, Scrambled Eggs, and the Elio Breakfast Pizza. Everything was enjoyable, but the Elio Breakfast Pizza was easily the highlight of the meal for me. It comes topped with bacon, toasted mushrooms, potato, and Calabrian chili hollandaise. I especially loved this combination of savoury toppings and the rich, flavourful hollandaise. I’m personally not a fan of tomato-based sauces, so this breakfast pizza was right up my alley. It’s a great alternative to the more traditional tomato-sauce pizzas and something I would happily order again.

The service and the restaurant itself is also impressive. The space is massive, with plenty of seating and a spacious layout that makes it comfortable for brunch with friends or family. It’s nice to have a restaurant where you don’t feel cramped while dining.

As someone who already loves Savio Volpe, I’m glad I finally made my way here to experience their brunch offerings. The breakfast pizza alone is reason enough for me to return, and I’m definitely looking forward to trying more of their menu next time!“

“Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. A huge thankyou to Barb and the entire Hy's team!“

Smoke & Oak whisky (nice depth, no mix required) I discovered it's under new ownership and management, their impact is already beginning to shine through, I know I'll be returning to see even more of the "upgrades."
