“This is quite possibly the best restaurant I’ve ever been to.

I don’t know if this is the typical experience, but whenever I go to a fine dining restaurant I end up enjoying the amuse-bouche and appetizers more than the entrees. Maybe I’ve just had bad luck. But not this place — every single dish was executed to perfection, and the mains were the best I’ve had of their kind: the fondue omelette, the pastas, and the fried fish were absolute standouts. The truffle fondue omelette in particular blew my mind. I can’t recommend this place enough!“

“Oh my… this was quite an experience! When going there, letyourself be surprised by the Chef’s Menu (Menu dégustation in french). Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! Along with the lady who brought each plate and explained to us what they were. And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! Finally, the décor is not at all what you would expect, from looking at the menu on the web-site; very fresh, young, modern, yet very warm decor! Please go and try this place. I will definitely be back when travelling to Vancouver. Merciiii!“

“Came here to spend the evening. We tried the ring of fire cocktail and it was so cool! Worth the price haha. Food was AMAZING and reasonably priced, good portion size as well. The service was nice as well, all the staff were super nice. Only thing is that hotel parking is pricey, it’s almost $40 for 3 hours.“

“Super delicious food and amazing service, very thoughtful regarding allergies as well. The food and service were so good that my friend ate his entire bowl even though he was full as not to look as if he didn’t like his ramen!!!
The broth is super creamy! Free spicy option as well and inexpensive refill.

“My husband surprised me for my birthday with a dinner at St Lawrence. From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional. The atmosphere and decor are quaint. It took me right back to France.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the tasting menu, and everyone dish was absolutely delicious. We were informed that they change their tasting menu every few weeks, which I think is fantastic. It will allow me to come back often. I highly recommend going.“

“Our server (Aaron B) was really knowledgeable about the menu and was extremely helpful with making our food choices. We were very surprised when he told us that this was his first day as a waiter. The food was excellent too, we especially enjoyed the sashimi sampler plate.
We look forward to returning but it's a bit expensive for us, so our return visit will have to wait for a special occasion.“

“After reading the reviews, we just had to try it. We got the cod fish and chips, the halibut fish and chips and the clam chowder. My favorite was definitely the halibut fish, it’s juicy and crispy; the best fish and chips i’ve had. The cod fish wasn’t the best I wouldn’t order it again. Over all i would definitely recommend this place for a weekday lunch/dinner.“

“Beyond amazing really. Everything we ordered was off the scale in terms of taste, texture, temperature. One of the best meals we've had in the last 10 years. Can't recall what we ordered, but here are 2.
Nigiri set
King salmon (we had 2 of these..)
Countless other small bits and pieces.
The service was amazing, very Japanese, extremely friendly.
We left there elated, a complete food euphoria with tastes so amazing we talked about it for a while. One of the chefs my girlfriend reads up on says that he’s been following the Sushi Hill chef for a while and every time he eats there “my eyes roll into the back of my head”. We certainly had that feeling. Sadly we can now never again go to another sushi place in Vancouver lest we want to eat cold fish wrapped in rice and dead seaweed. But it’s a small price to pay. We’re already scheduled to go back April 12th.“

“I had high hopes for this restaurant. Everyone has been talking about it!! It didn't disappoint in a lot of ways. Butter beef was delicious(amazing), beef luc lac was really good as well (but not amazing), two kind of dry noodle??(forgot the exact name but this was just okay to mediocre imo)
And people were going nuts over the wings but they were just okay. I forgot but had better wings(similar style too!!) In Ontario(I wanna say somewhere in marhkam)

I am tempted to try again few more times to explorer to see if there are other dishes that would amaze me. If I can find one more like that, definitely 5 stars.“

More upscale than Wooden Fish but both are excellent. We were worried about parking but had no issues finding a spot right away on a side street (lots of parking on the side streets and parking lots as well). We will return.“
