“I’ve been coming to this Freshslice location for a while now, and every time I walk in, I wish I get served from Mehak. She is seriously one of the friendliest and most helpful staff members I’ve ever met at any pizza place!
Last night I was trying to decide between a few slices and she patiently explained all the current deals, suggested the best combos, and even made sure my Butter Chicken slice came out extra fresh and hot. Her positive energy and big smile made the whole experience so much better – especially after a long day.
The pizza is always solid but Mehak is the real MVP here. Fast, polite, great communication, and genuinely seems to enjoy making customers happy.
If you’re in the area, come during her shift – you’ll leave with great pizza and good vibes! Highly recommend this location because of awesome team members like Mehak. Keep it up! 🍕🙌 highly recommended to vist this store“

“My family and I were there Boxing Day and the staff were very friendly. We couldn’t decide between Butter Chicken pizza or BBQ Chicken pizza, but the guy suggested to do half and half. Great suggestion so we can all get what we wanted. When the pizza was ready, the clerk tried handing me the pizza, but cause the end of the glass counter was curved, the pizza tipped and slid together in the box. We were so hungry and told him it’s ok, we can just eat it anyways, but they were very kind and let us keep that pizza and made a fresh one right away. The homemade meat sauce infused with garlic and onions is a staple for their spaghetti bolognese and lasagna dishes. If you are a pizza lover, try the variety of thin crust pizzas and the variety of toppings they have to offer. Really good quality and tasty food. I order their pasta on a weekly basis.“

“Found this little place while my husband and I were walking up Commercial Drive. All I have to say is " WoW! ". The pizzas were so amazing, light crust, non greasy and full of fresh toppings. They do their own seasoning and it certainly tastes like home cooking. My husband tried out the stromboli and he was so in love with it, said it was the best handheld item he ever had and it's so true. This shop is old school, Ma and Pa pizza place so people please support them. They aren't a franchise and certainly don't taste like one. 100% approved for quality, service. “This review is about this Abbott Street location. In particular about the people who work here. I've lived in Vancouver for 20 years and I've never seen exemplary customer service than I've consistently received from a young gentleman called Shubhh.

If you're a regular, you know exactly who I mean. He always greets you by name with a pleasant smile, remembers your orders, goes above and beyond in accommodating your preferences. He still asks for my mother's health, who was visiting me about two years ago and was poorly.

In a world that's inherently transactional, and at late night pizza place at that, Shubhh somehow is an example of how to bring humanity to a very ordinary exchange. Getting late night pizza, while occasionally inebriated.

Anyway, pizza is pizza, and Uncle Fatih's is decent and consistent. Honestly, better quality toppings than you'll find in similar establishments open late.

While pizza is pizza, good and kind human beings are rare. And so this is both for readers of this review, and for employers of Shubhh.

“I absolutely love Freshslice Pizza on Joyce Street! The location is perfect with plenty of parking around, and the restaurant is fully accessible and always clean. The staff pays close attention to details and never ignores you or act busy when you walk in; ( there is an Asian girl ( Filipina I guess) sorry I didn’t ask her for her name …she is constantly cleaning and organizing the place making sure it’s tidy and presentable)they’re always quick to assist, friendly yet very professional. The toppings are always fresh and generous, which sets this location apart from others I’ve tried in Burnaby Surrey or Vancouver, they simply never disappoint They’re my favourite 100% ,and I highly recommend ordering from them .“

“We have ordered pizza here on 2 occasions, tonight and one week ago. We used delivery on both occasions.Website describes the options available with prices and specials. Phone order was clear and polite/helpful. Delivery was punctual with polite service and pizza arrived at proper temperature. We ordered 1 pizza with gluten free crust which my wife stated was very good and I had regular crust which was also good. We had 3 different toppings over the 2 deliveries and all were good! I would order here again and recommend them based on our experience this week.“

The new owner is very nice and the pizza is very much the same as the previous owners, except that the new owner has added some selections, which is really cool. “Decent tasting fare for a pizza by-the-slice counter located in Metrotown foodcourt. At least six different variety of pizzas to choose from, including vegetarian. We had tried the butter chicken and vegetarian and found both delicious. Our slices were of a good size, loaded with ingredients. Our slice+drink combo seem good value for money. Service was fast and friendly. Metrotown foodcourt seating is plenty, spacious, bright and clean.“

It was a promo that sent me there and because of the friendly service, hot pizza, and good ingredients I will definitely return.

“Folded into the Via Tevere Pizzeria famiglia, Pizzeria Grano’s vegan-forward menu expands an already incredible restaurant in a way that truly delivers for vegans.

The pizza is hands down my favourite in Vancouver ~ house-made cashew cheese (no Daiya here), mouth-watering sauce, and an authentic crust that’s both sophisticated and simple… and oh so delicious.

Add vegan tiramisu, gelato, and cannoli, and I’m officially in Italian heaven. The arugula salad also deserves an honourable mention. I’d give the Vecchia Romagna brandy a shot as well if you enjoy an aperitif ~ andiamo!
