“Oh my… this was quite an experience! When going there, letyourself be surprised by the Chef’s Menu (Menu dégustation in french). Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! Along with the lady who brought each plate and explained to us what they were. And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! Finally, the décor is not at all what you would expect, from looking at the menu on the web-site; very fresh, young, modern, yet very warm decor! Please go and try this place. I will definitely be back when travelling to Vancouver. Merciiii!“

“Kissa Tanto elegantly blends the Japanese and Italian flavors to deliver one of the city’s best dining experiences. The name Kissa Tanto is another fusion of Japan and Italy, with kissa refering to the Japanese jazz cafes of the 1960s and tanto simply meaning “a lot” in Italian. The fusion at Kissa Tanto is perhaps inspired by chef owner Joël Watanabe’s mixed heritage (his father is Japanese while is mother is Corsican-French Canadian).

The interior at Kissa Tanto is stunning, with Pete Wells accurately describing the design as a set from a David Lynch movie. The standout on the menu are the tajarin with butter, cheese, miso-cured egg yolk and black truffles. They are things legends are made of and better than most tajarin I’ve had in Piedmont. The whole fried fish at Kissa Tanto was deliciously tender.“

“We had the Spaghetti Meatballs & Cherry Coke Ribs. The Spaghetti, eh, honestly, you could do better, forget the pasta at the pasta place lol. Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol“

“I was invited for a wedding dinner and I was also doubling up as the Photographer. Great place and ambience for photography. Food tasted great. Service was a bit slow. Food price is a bit on the expensive side being a Street Food style restaurant.“

“We had dinner at Bacaro tonight, and I must say, the food was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with flavor and made with exceptional quality. However, what truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service. We were fortunate enough to be served by Spencer, who was hands down THE MOST attentive and detail-oriented waiter I've ever met. He didn't miss a single detail, was incredibly mindful, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. He knew the menu inside and out, and when it came to my gluten allergy, he effortlessly pointed me to the best options (they have so many gluten free options!!). This place is an absolute MUST!“

“Got the peperoni and the summer breeze ( eggplant , zucchini) pizzas and both were fantastic. Easily the best pizzeria I’ve found so far in Vancouver. Also moderately priced for a medium. The crusts were perfectly thin although slightly soggy by the time i got it delivered which was the only down side.“

“While in Vancouver the beginning of November for medical appointments. My wife and I were undecided on were to eat. We walked out of our motel. Looked across the street and saw the Italian Kitchen, we walked over and asked if they had any seats available, it was a very busy night ,got our seats and our sever was Sam he was very pleasant. “We have been traveling from the Seattle area to Vancouver since 1999 on a regular basis. In 2005 we discovered CinCin. Since then, we NEVER go to Vancouver without having dinner there. We have never had a single morsel of food that we didn't love. We celebrate our big anniversaries there. We have been there for our 10th, 15th, 20th and last night our 25th. We have been to more than 50 countries around the world and we love to eat but CinCin is our favorite restaurant. Can't wait to celebrate our 30th there and a bunch of times in between.“

“This is an orthodox Italian restaurant. We are Japanese, so we don't like heavy foods, but we think the taste of this restaurant is truly authentic Italian. It had a subtle flavor and was really delicious. I ordered spaghetti with large scallops, linguine with tomato sauce, and minestrone with shrimp for soup, but they brought me okotaro so that the three of us could share it.

The green salad dressing was also really delicious.

And for dessert, I ordered the affogato, which is a drink served by pouring hot coffee over cold vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was slow to melt and I was spooning it off when it suddenly melted into the coffee. It's really delicious when you drink it.

Lastly, there was live Hammond organ music from start to finish. It was so nice.“

Our waiter was one of the most professional and knowledgeable we've ever had. He guided us through an excellent dining experience we will continue to cherish. “Di Beppe is a triumph of old school Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The atmosphere is chic and playful, and they make a lot happen with the rather limited space. As Italians ourselves from Montreal who have eaten fantastic restaurant and homemade fare, we were expecting a solid experience. Instead, we were absolutely blown away. From the moment we were greeted to the moment we left, we felt taken care of as if we were at a best friend's house. Both the hostess (a young European girl whose name escapes me) and our server Chris gave superb customer service and they deserve a shoutout. We shared a lasagna friti appetizer, a plate of carbonara and a fennel sausage pizza with a balsamic glaze. The pizza is some of the best I've had in my life, and I have sampled hundreds of different pizzas. Even the homemade spicy oil was phenomenal. Enjoying all of this with a limoncello spritz (or 2) added even more fun to the evening. Overall, I'd say this is a must try for anyone looking for authentic Roman style pizza and great drinks. If we find ourselves back in Vancouver any time soon, Di Beppe is going to be a regular visit.“

“As I sit here at gusto I think to myself I/we need to be here more often. My friend and I have had the pleasure of eating here a few times and it always exceeds my expectations, the pizza is like biting into a crispy cloud. You also don’t feel heavy after eating like with some other pizzas, nicely leaving room for dessert of which I would highly recommend.
The flavours are so well thought out, I would recommend the prosciutto e rucola as it is my favirote…so far. The desserts and gelatos are fantastic as well, this time I had the tiramisu. not too sweet and nicely balanced. I can’t wait to go back, thank you to all the staff and the wonderful owner!“

Tastes like handmade pasta and thats why a bit chewy. The sauce is a bit too salty but the servers are excellent.
The coffee favour of the Tiramisu is not strong enough and a bit too sweet.“

(I know some very busy supposed "high end" restaurants that microwave rice and the sauces in plastic bags).

The ambiance is nice as it feels like a family style restaurant with quiet interior and a patio in the back for outdoor dining in the summer.

The pasta is decent, portion could be a bit bigger, but enough to stop your hunger.
