“Oh my… this was quite an experience! When going there, letyourself be surprised by the Chef’s Menu (Menu dégustation in french). Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! Along with the lady who brought each plate and explained to us what they were. And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! Finally, the décor is not at all what you would expect, from looking at the menu on the web-site; very fresh, young, modern, yet very warm decor! Please go and try this place. “We had the Spaghetti Meatballs & Cherry Coke Ribs. The Spaghetti, eh, honestly, you could do better, forget the pasta at the pasta place lol. Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol“

“Long story short, their pasta was the bomb. They make it fresh right in front of you and it’s just an absolute winner. Simple as that. We had pasta in Italy and I would say they are comparable. If you’re a big pasta person, this place is definitely for you. That being said, the almond semifreddo dessert was not disappointing as well. As far as service goes, I appreciate that they don’t come up to you every 2 minutes to ask “how’s the first few bites?” yet all the servers are still friendly and attentive throughout. For me, it doesn’t get any better than that. Let me eat my food and if I need something, I’ll let you know. Important to note: if you’re coming on a Saturday, be sure to be there by 4- 4:10pm to make sure you get seated. The line gets really long shortly thereafter. A restaurant with a long line outside will always draw more attention than the empty ones, very clever 😉 So make sure you go early…. And enjoy!“

“We had a family birthday lunch at the Lonsdale Quay location that was absolutely fabulous. In our party of five, three of us had sandwiches and two ordered pasta dishes. Everything was so nicely presented and tasted even better than it looked. Can’t wait to go back and try some more of the enticing items on the menu. The setting and atmosphere is lovely and the service was great - an overall joyful experience in dining out.“

“The three of us and a dog came to Nonna’s Cucina on East Hastings for the first time after seeing it several times while driving by. We each ordered the rigatoni dish and in our opinion the quality was at par with Oca and La Tana. Very tasty and flavorful, and good portions. It was so neat to be served on pretty china instead of on a cardboard container. One of the staff came out while we were waiting at our table for our dishes and he was so kind to give our friend’s dog some bits of ham to enjoy! We are so glad to have tried this place out and we will definitely be returning again soon!“

Looked across the street and saw the Italian Kitchen, we walked over and asked if they had any seats available, it was a very busy night ,got our seats and our sever was Sam he was very pleasant. My wife and I both so impressed with our meal. If we ever go back to Vancouver I know we're I will be eating.“

My wife and I decided to focus on the seafood offerings for the evening, and that decision was rewarded from the very first course.

Every dish demonstrated exceptional restraint, balance and confidence. The seafood remained the hero throughout, while each accompanying ingredient added thoughtful layers of flavour, texture and contrast without ever competing for attention.

The oysters were beautifully presented with elegant, well-balanced mignonettes that complemented rather than overwhelmed their natural brine. The octopus salad was outstanding—layer upon layer of vegetables, textures and flavours, each contributing something distinct while coming together as a remarkably cohesive dish. The charcoal udon carried that same sense of balance and depth, and the fish of the moment (halibut) was cooked perfectly, allowing the quality of the fish to speak for itself.

Exceptional food, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and polished, attentive service made for a memorable evening. More than anything, we appreciated the respect shown not only to the seafood, but to every ingredient on the plate. Each component had a purpose, contributing to the whole without ever overshadowing the star of the dish. It’s precisely that level of confidence and restraint that encourages us to return and explore the rest of the menu.“

“I'm always happy with my pasta! Arrives just the way i like it... the staff are always so polite and have excellent customer service. I do take out, as it's just more convenient for us... I also usually order then walk down... sometimes they are really busy and it can take 15 to 20 minutes.
It is wheelchair friendly, no clutter, easy to move around. There isn't alot of seating, but there are a couple of tables outside, as well as inside. Parking... well, it gets busy.“

“Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got to check it off my list! The vibes are great and the space is pretty spacious too. I did a walk-in right when they opened and was able to get a table, but I’d definitely recommend making a reso if you’re planning to go during busier hours. They also seem to switch up the menu here and there, which is always nice!

Definitely not a cheap spot though so just something to keep in mind! But it’s a great place for a first date or a special night out ✨“

Otherwise, really great chewy crust, flavourful sauce, nice caramelization on veggie toppings. Awesome natural wine selection.

Food is authentically Italian and very fresh. Margherita and Cristina pizzas were our favourites as well as the scallop spaghetti. We are definitely coming back!“

The menu is significant with so many tasty options and competitively priced. The room is a gorgeous, warmly appointed and romantic. Outdoor dining is well choreographed with heaters & roof covering for inclement weather and beautiful greenery making the dining exerience personal and rather private. Of course the Chef is what makes the world go around, however, what significantly adds to and makes this restaurant so special, are the people! Gennaro Iorio, has built this team over many years, with servers and staff that have worked there for many years. From the front-end welcome ( and then, unusually, follow-up service table-side,) the servers, who are not only experienced but genuine, sincere and thoroughly engaging, to the co-owner/partner, Gennaro making the effort to drop by the table to engage in meaningful conversation... The dining was not only exquisite but engaging and memorable. I ended up staying longer-almost finishing my novel at the end of the night. “I watched a few videos on instagram so decided to give it a try. Carbeneo pizza was amazing. Little small but okay. It’s more of individual size so if with somebody get your own. My biggest disappointment would be the pasta I got. It was like ten pieces and after tax and tip like 40 dollars lol it was good. But sorry, the portion size is too small to justify the price. Maybe double the portion would be fair. I would never order it again at the current size/price. So I would say I love the taste but am disappointed in the portion sizes for price.“

The food was really something to rave about. We got the focaccia, gnocchi and meatballs (my favourite), rigatoni alla vodka and the peach/prosciutto special pizza (also incredible)!
