The best fried olives I ever tried; both appies were perfect. For the main courses we indulged in the Linguine e salmone, Lasagna and Spaghetti aglio olio e prezzemolo. I never tried pasta with lemon before; I have been missing out! Simply delicious. And of course we had to try the desserts: Grappa Tiramisu (I think it needed more mascarpone cheese), Frittelle di Carnevale (see photo) and Torta al Limone, which the attentive and friendly Jessica made more appealing by adding a candle to celebrate the occasion. “My husband took me here for our 17th year anniversary! We have 5 kids so it's hard to find time to go out but our time at the restaurant was perfect kid friendly but also romantic they had us away from the kids!Pinku was our waitress and she was perfect helped up with how to eat and what was good ! We tried the goat curry and I can honestly say I wasn't going to but she insisted how amazing it was and she was right she was very comfortable with they knowing the menu ! “Was told to try The Boot years ago, and I regret not going sooner! Cozy, casual atmosphere, solid Italian food and wine menu. Our server Manuela was warm and delightful, everyone was welcoming and upbeat. Loved the Seafood Cannelloni with tomato-cream sauce. My friend's Linguini with (fresh) Clams was excellent. Portions ample, we skipped starters and just had the bread. Prices fair. So happy to find an independent, traditional Italian spot in this area for everyday or a special occasion!Parking: Small lot behind restaurant, more parking on Ridgeway and side streets.“

“Located at the top of Burnaby Mountain, I believe they were recently rebranded/renovated. They offer a very reasonably priced $40 for 3 courses or $65 for 5 courses. The website does mention they only take reservations so do be mindful of that! They had a la carte available at the time as well, but the value is way better with the set menus.We tried the 5 courses (Starter + Sushi Roll (4pc) + Soup OR Salad + Entree + Dessert) as a part of Dine Out Vancouver this year but it seems they have extended their offering for the next little while. Inside is dimly lit giving a romantic vibe!We went as a group of 4 and this is what we tried:Starters: Ahi Tuna Tartare, Hamachi CarpaccioSushi Roll: Salmon Roll (sockeye salmon, cucumber, avocado), Crab Roll (fresh crab, avocado, cucumber)Soup: Lobster Bisque (with lobster chunks and garlic toast.. mmm)Entree: Surf & Turf (8oz NY Steak with choice of 3oz lobster tail or 2 scallops), Miso-Glazed Sable FishDessert: Chocolate Souffle with vanilla bean gelato and fresh berriesDrinks: Recommend the Shanghai Fizz (2oz - $15) - gin, lychee liqueur, pineapple juice, ginger ale. “We've visited The Old Spaghetti Factory since 2006 and have taken people to eat there on special occasions. We love the decoration and atmosphere of the place. The food meets your expectations and considering the place, service and all, I think their prices are lower in proportion to other options. We'll definitely keep going when we want to spend dinner in a nice place. Attention has always been excellent. We've had to ask to be seated closer to the train instead of next to the windows that face the skytrain station, but they've had no problem fixing that for us.“
“I wanted to try this restaurant/cafe for a while when I first saw their menu. When I got there, the place was pretty vacant and quiet, which made my visitation comfortably relaxed. I liked that there was a TV that showcased all the meals they make. I had their Grounding Brunch Bowl with Avocado as my 'meat' choice, and it was fantastic. The egg is soft poached, the garlic aioli is very flavourful and went great with all the contents in the bowl. The Dark Roast Coffee was nothing special though and it was served with raw brown sugar. Still, the food is great and I would very much like to return there.Vegetarian options: They serve plenty of vegetarian or even vegan choices such as the Prana Keto and Namaste Bowls, Organic Oatmeal and Vegan Chicken Strips.Parking: The parking is decent and it is in front of the establishmentKid-friendliness: There is a kids menu where they serve basic food.“

“I ordered one medium pizza half tandoori and half butter chicken, Oh my god, it’s one of the best pizza I have had in Surrey, I recommend you try it. I asked for extra chicken and extra cheese, medium spice. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed and will be coming back. Sushil is amazing customer service is 10/10 and he asked me to order pizza with pesto sauce and garlic sauce next time. I can’t wait to do that.“

If you have a friend or Family member who loves board games this is a MUST.The only knock I have against is that the music was a little too loud for the game I was playing, and while I do get that they have to have it set the mood so you don't just hear people saying things while playing but it still made a little more difficult to play.Vegetarian options: Have a whole menu dedicated to Vegan or Vegetarian options. I didn't try any but the selection was surprisingParking: So I would certainly recommend getting there via skytrain, it's prob cheaper to park at Scott Rd and take the train for 1 or 2 stops (easier to get to from the Columbia Station if you don't mind walking up hill a bit)Kid-friendliness: Saw a lot of kids there mixed in with the Dating crowd and it all seemed to work, TONS of kid friendly games“

“well, i ordered from Deep Cove pizza in the cove and had a terrible experience. pizza online listed $26 but when i got there i was charged $39 - CRAZY!! the owner gave me a couple of lame excuses and stated she would not be dropping the price any amount. She offered NO apology for the misinformation and inconvenience so I left and drove to DJJ's. I was AMaZeD!! ordered the Traditional and it was absolutely deelish!! what a great discovery and i saved myself $3 too! DJJ's is now my go to!!i subsequently read the deep cove pizza reviews and it appears they have been misinforming customers for some time now. Shame on them!!“
