“I decided to check this place out after learning it was the only pizzeria in Canada with three Spicchi. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The pizza itself was good, but I can’t say I was particularly impressed. We were the first table seated and the first to order, yet the pizza arrived lukewarm. Fresh pizza should arrive hot straight from the oven, so that was disappointing. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but not one I would drive out of my way for again.“

“I love her Rotis. I dislike how it's cash only. Aside from having to make sure I have cash in my wallet, money is just dirty and Rehanah handles the food and the money. She's a one woman business. ... But man those rotis are good!“

“The food is consistently good with good presentation, prices are reasonable. Our server is always very attentive and pleasant, she excels at anticipatory service, reading your needs before you express them. The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy, maybe a bit too beige, could use some soft background music. Would highly recommend it.“

Back to 5 stars. They were busy for Mother's day and lots of staff working; what we saw was organised chaos. We still think Hanayuki Sushi has to be [one of] the best sushi restaurants, including fine dine ones too! Great taste, done just right, and never dry. Some very creative special rolls too. And bonus: IF any leftover, it's still very good!
Recommend without any hesitation!
PREVIOUS (sometime 2025)
This time I've knocked off one star. We always enjoy Hanayuki Sushi for taste and value, which often don't go together. The star less is because, very surprisingly, they didn't have their act together for pickup orders. What was supposed to be 20 minutes became almost 45 minutes...and no acknowledgement or apology for the wait. Food still tasted good though. 👍“

“The peppery pork belly and chicken soup is rich, rich in ingredients and has a high Cp value. The salty crispy chicken is juicy and fragrant. The waiter Yvonne sincerely recommends it. The service is super great!!!

“We were given a private room in the back with a very cute Japanese style seating, with beautiful decor and privacy. The server was amazing, always checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was very quick, and it tasted SOOOOOO GOOD!!! Even the presentation of the food was so fun! I will definitely be coming back! Worth every penny (didn’t have to spend too much either)! Even came with some free mochi :)“

“We visited Denny’s and Pawan was our server, we have been here many times but the service we have received from Pawan has been the best we have ever received, she was super kind, friendly, bubbly and warm welcoming. We would come back to here just to see her. She is the best server we have had at this location ever.
She definitely adds amazing personality to the team and restaurant! Highly recommend asking to sit in her section if you want great service and overall experience! Super attentive and great customer service“

Food was tasty and nicely presented. Forgot to take a photo. Had a yuzu smoothie and it was tasty. They use a puree to make their smoothies.
Lots of seating and space.

“Sushi Box is the most delicious local sushi I have had here in Burnaby! The quality of the fish is excellent, and I love the Salmon Sashimi. Everything tastes like it was made with love, and additionally the staff are very kind. If you are a sushi lover like me, I could not recommend this restaurant more.“

“Great experience at this Freshslice Pizza store with a staff named, Bhumi. She is excellent with customer service. I was greeted with a Great smile as soon as I entered in the store. I was just looking for 2 slices, but she told me about the Special deals going on and I ended up getting a whole Pizza for me and my family for the dinner.

“Every time I walk my dog past this beautiful spot, my dog always seems to stop for a moment, giving me a chance to admire all the flowers and the care that goes into maintaining them.
Many people enjoy the beauty, but may not realize how much time, money, and hard physical work it takes to create and maintain such a lovely display. Even though the flowers only last for a short season, they bring so much joy to so many people.
I’m always happy and grateful to see this beautiful view during our walks. Thank you for sharing your hard work and making our community a more beautiful place“
