After 35 min I came back for a time check and the hostess said more 30 min wait. We have a toddler and 1 hour wait would be too much for the toddler. I asked to talk to the manager but the hostess said there was no manager on duty that day. I insisted since that wouldn't make any sense. After begging to talk to the person in charge, finally someone showed up. The manager was even more disrespectful than the hostess - she kept this ironic smile all the time and said that the hostess removed our names from the list by mistake but nothing could be done, not even offer us the top of the wait list and we had to go to the bottom of the list again. She also said they were doing the best they could - I left without saying a word since keep discussing was just pointless - when I walk out the door I just heard "and please don't come back". Just don't come here.“

“I was visiting my sister, I am from out of town. Today I came to this restaurant for the first time although I have heard from many others, it is amazing. Can't really remember the servers name, I think it was Jenna or Janna. I also dont post Google reviews but would like to support small, local businesses so I bit the bullet and did it anyway. Our server was super friendly, kind and caring and made the best recommendations for the seasonal halibut. It was one of the most beautiful, well presented and tasteful dishes I have ever had in my life. Unfortunately I am too old to take pictures of my food before I eat it but it was a symphony of flavors, blended gracefully and thoughtfully. I am from the east coast and get my fair share of seafood but this was something special and ill be back next time I'm in town. “Stopped by Cliff House Restaurant and Bar inside the beautiful Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and it ended up being one of the highlights of the visit. Started with the beer flight and was impressed by the variety—great selection and a fun way to try different local styles.

For food, I ordered the Fish and Chips and it completely exceeded expectations. The fish tasted incredibly fresh with a light, crispy batter and perfectly cooked inside. Honestly, better Fish and Chips than some I’ve had in the UK. The fries paired really well and the portion was satisfying after walking around the park.

Great atmosphere, solid service, and a perfect spot to relax during your visit to Capilano. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re visiting the park.“

“It was our first visit to this restaurant but not the last. We found this place by chance. We were starving and did not have a lot of time as we had to catch ferry. the staff person was very polite and understanding about it and our dinner was served super quick. Everything that we had ordered was delicious. My husband and I did not expect it to be this good. the staff person was very respectful. I ate good authentic Indian food after a long time. If you happen to be in North Vancouver and craving for Indian food, this is a place to go to. Nice family run restaurant. We will surely be there next time I am in North Van.“

“I can't believe I forgot to get pictures, however, the food was exactly the same as the pictures on their website. These were the best ribs, fries and coleslaw I've ever had. There are trophies all over the place. The owner did competitions for 12 years before he opened this place. I asked if he would please open one in Langley. If you’re not spending your Tuesday evenings at Tequila Cantina, you’re doing Taco Tuesday wrong.

We stopped in tonight and were absolutely blown away. From the moment we walked through the door, every single staff member made us feel genuinely welcome. The atmosphere was fun, energetic, and exactly what you hope for when you’re heading out for tacos and margaritas after a long day.

Now let’s talk about the value… because it’s honestly ridiculous.

Taco Tuesday specials at these prices should be illegal. We enjoyed multiple tacos, a Coke Zero, and one of the best skinny margaritas I’ve had in a long time, and somehow the bill still felt like it belonged in 2019. The food-to-dollar ratio here is absolutely off the charts.

The tacos were fresh, flavour-packed, and loaded with authentic taste. The Birria was fantastic, the Pollo Con Mole was outstanding, and every bite had us planning what we’d order on our next visit before we’d even finished the first round.

What really separates this place, however, is the people. Great food gets customers in the door. Warm, friendly, attentive staff are what make people come back. Every interaction felt sincere, and the team created the kind of experience that turns first-time visitors into regulars.

North Vancouver has no shortage of restaurants, but finding a place that delivers incredible food, amazing value, delicious drinks, and genuinely welcoming service all at the same time is rare.

Tequila Cantina has officially earned a permanent spot in our rotation and will absolutely be our new Taco Tuesday headquarters.

Do yourself a favour: grab some friends, order the tacos, order the margaritas, and thank me later.

“Sashimi Don was very fresh, but small portion. For little bit more, they offer wild salmon instead of farm. Ramen was also good according to my son. The pork chop was very crispy outside and tender inside. Other than the price, all is good.“

“I got 2 dishes both were brought out fast and tasted amazing. I regularly go there and the hash is perfect you finish the dish and ask for some Nutella for the pancake. This way you have a savory healthy and a sweet treat to end with. The servers are very nice and hospitable aswell everything is just great.“

Sushi was pretty good , I enjoyed it - I found the rice to be a bit heavier than what I’m used to from other places I go to on NS- also retina of crab in the dynamite roll , I usually like a little bit less but that’s just my preference. I like the spicy salmon avocado rolls- also agot some gyozas which were absolutely delicious. Pricing was typical for sushi on the north shore - like how they’re open late. I would come back !“

“Ming's is great. In a time where prices for food is sky high Ming's will give you a meal for $50 that all others want $70+. Consistent quality. Good picks are the wonton soup, deep fried prawns, and beef and broccoli (which conveniently happen to be in a set meal). Hope they stay in business forever.“
