Orto is a favourite of my family and for us has been the scene of pre-wedding events, birthdays, children's first experiences with pasta, and anniversaries. 11/10 would come again. The garden is the spot to see during the summer if available.“

“The staff is so disrespectful! We arrived at this place around 12:35pm and the hostess said they would have a 35 min wait list. We said ok, got our names in the wait list and left. After 35 min I came back for a time check and the hostess said more 30 min wait. We have a toddler and 1 hour wait would be too much for the toddler. I asked to talk to the manager but the hostess said there was no manager on duty that day. I insisted since that wouldn't make any sense. After begging to talk to the person in charge, finally someone showed up. The manager was even more disrespectful than the hostess - she kept this ironic smile all the time and said that the hostess removed our names from the list by mistake but nothing could be done, not even offer us the top of the wait list and we had to go to the bottom of the list again. She also said they were doing the best they could - I left without saying a word since keep discussing was just pointless - when I walk out the door I just heard "and please don't come back". Just don't come here.“

“For your adventure at the suspension bridge to become complete, you should have something to eat at this cliff-top restaurant. Inside is well decorated, and the outside sitting area is lovely. Chris, who helped us with our meal and drinks, was amazing. Lovely wheat beer from a local brewery and great buffalo chicken wings. Definitely worth visiting again!“

“This Tap & Barrel location at The Shipyards in North Vancouver is super close to my office, so it's my usual go-to spot with coworkers for lunch. This time, my husband and brother came by to visit me after work, so we headed over to take advantage of their Happy Hour which runs every day from 2:00 PM-5:30 PM & 9:00 PM-close, plus ALL DAY Monday!

It's a massive location with two full floors of seating and stunning waterfront views. Our server was awesome and gave us the absolute best recommendations for our table. We fueled up on an epic spread:

- Tap Snack Burger & Fried Chicken Snack Burger: Perfect bite-sized, flavorful burgers to kick off the meal.
- Hot Honey Calabrese Pizza: The ideal balance of spicy, savory, and sweet.
- Maple Bacon Hot Wings: Crisp, sticky, and packed with flavor.
- Truffle Waffle Fries: Absolutely addictive, a must-order every single time.
- Sour Cherry Lemonade & Pink Lemonade Slush: Super refreshing and the perfect Happy Hour treats.

“Great cafe with light bites after hiking! The food definitely taste healthier here. The avocado toast and daily soup was simple but delicious. I'm obsessed with the marmalade that they give you (not too sweet or bitter). The charcuterie we got was of high quality ingredients. Meats were not too salty. Waffle we got was light. Would recommend if you're looking for a clean and light meal. The interior was bright and comfortable and perfect for after hike spot.“

“I’ve had brunch a few times at Catch 122 and always enjoyed it but went for dinner for the first time and was blown away. Extraordinary food and service! We enjoyed the tuna, fish and chips, short ribs and hazelnut passionfruit dessert (as well as a bottle of Okanagan Pinot Gris) The short ribs were the stand out for me. Our server was friendly yet professional. I’ll be back again for sure.“

“It was our first visit to this restaurant but not the last. We found this place by chance. We were starving and did not have a lot of time as we had to catch ferry. the staff person was very polite and understanding about it and our dinner was served super quick. Everything that we had ordered was delicious. My husband and I did not expect it to be this good. the staff person was very respectful. I ate good authentic Indian food after a long time. If you happen to be in North Vancouver and craving for Indian food, this is a place to go to. Nice family run restaurant. We will surely be there next time I am in North Van.“

“Since we don't have any of these restaurants on Vancouver Island anymore, I encouraged my wife to come here for breakfast before we leave the mainland. She knows how much I love pannekoeken due to my Dutch heritage. The meals were just fine as we stuck to traditional pannekoeken, so no fault there. Lost a mark for service since the server came by to ask if we wanted a refill on our coffee, but I wasn't ready just yet. The server didn't come by again, so $4 for a single cup of coffee is a little ridiculous. The server did return to the table next to us to offer a refill, but didn't bother asking us.“
