“Had a nice patio view of the water after sunset.
Outdoor seating can be a bit loud based on where you're seated but we were tucked away in a nice spot.

Had to wait a little bit for our mains but our server Naz had us covered with drinks and her recommendations.

“Browns Social house Lower Lonsdale is a great spot in a fantastic location, especially if you want to enjoy the lively Lower Lonsdale atmosphere. The restaurant has a welcoming vibe that makes it a nice place to relax, enjoy good food, and spend quality time with family or friends.

Now that the summer heat is back, I’m especially excited to try their patio. Outdoor dining always makes the experience even better during warm weather, and this location seems perfect for sitting outside, enjoying a meal, and soaking in the summer atmosphere.

As a dog owner, one thing I’m really hoping for is that they allow dogs on the patio so I can bring my dog, Alfie, with me. Being able to enjoy a nice meal while having Alfie by my side would make the experience even more enjoyable. Dog-friendly patios always stand out to me because they make outings much more special for pet owners.

“We frequently have our meals at this pub, especially on game days. On 18th June, we were there to watch the soccer game, Staff Donna was working all alone, there were about 50 of us and she was running around taking orders. I'm disappointed with whoever did scheduling, personally I felt she was being bullied. She's such a lovely lady and I felt sorry for her, she was flushed.
One less star for the guy in the kitchen who keeps forgetting my salad dressing, twice. Of course Donna has to get it for me. Thank you for being so nice to us Donna.“

“A great experience at Jack Lonsdale, especially during the FIFA World Cup 2026. They made me feel like I was part of something bigger than just a casual dining experience.

I would also like to recognize Renata, one of the outstanding members of the Jack Lonsdale team. She is professional, efficient, polite, and respectful. Her customer service is exceptional, and she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a positive experience.

“Went here yesterday. Rachel was our server. She was wonderful! We sat in the covered section of the patio, so traffic noise outside was minimized. My wife had the tuna poke and loved it. I had the delicious Swiss burger and fries. There was one small glitch - the fries were only luke-warm. But Rachel quickly got them replaced with hot, hot fries! I devoured all of them. We don't live close to this place (we are about an hour away), but we won't hesitate to stop in again the next time we are in the vicinity. Two thumbs up to both the restaurant and to Rachel!“

“I ordered takeout and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was.

The soy chicken and snowy chicken were both delicious and full of flavor. The original fried chicken was a bit bland for my personal taste, but it was still cooked well.

What impressed me most was how crispy the chicken stayed. Even after the 10-minute drive home, the fried chicken was still crunchy and juicy, which isn't always easy to achieve with takeout.

Overall, a great experience, and I'll definitely be ordering again.“

“Randomly came upon The Brighton, walked in and immediately felt a New Orleans vibe which was delightful. A good ole dive bar feeling where one can relax and be yourself. The staff were amazing, specifically Hubert who provided a laid-back vibe and very good conversation while I sat at the bar. Hubert was working hard pouring drinks and making Nachos for a growing mix of ppl coming from the Lamb of God concert. The 2 girls waiting on customers were also pleasant and down to earth. The music was an eclectic mix of old school rock all the way to the 80’s, 90’s and current metal. Loved it! The place was open late with No Pressure to get during last call. If you’re in Vancouver go, see Hubert at The Brighton before or after a concert at the Coliseum, or a drink to sit back and look at all the awesome memorabilia on the walls.“

“I love a good local pub and during our family stay in the area for the World Cup I made a couple of trips here once the family was settled in the evening. They had football on all the screens and jerseys hanging from the ceiling so definitely got into the World Cup spirit. I was also there on trivia night and it was such a great vibe! Staff were so friendly and the food I ordered was awesome, definitely recommend!“

“Had an amazing lunch today at Sapperton District Taphouse. I ordered the House Salad with cajun chicken and my daughter had the Kung Pao Noodle Bowl. We both loved our meals! We also tried the Moscow Mule they have on tap and a pint of the Vertical Winter Ale from Tree (drank that too fast to take a pic, so good). We felt very comfortable the whole time. Lots of covid restrictions in place and we especially liked that our utensils came individually packed and sanitized. We found out this place is entirely locally owned and they have a cold beer & wine store inside!! We took home some Rock Creek Cider on our way out. We will definitely be coming back soon.“

“Has an old pub feel and so are the patrons. No waitress / waiter to be seen, you had to get your own drinks (is that a Vancouver thing?) Food is ordered from a window in a wall but good wings. Live music was vintage rock, they were really great!“

“We really wanted to explore the Gastown side of town, and Yelp led us to this cute spot that did not disappoint. We arrived before sunset and found a cozy table upstairs. The view from the top was so romantic, watching the rain fall as the sun went down.

Our waitress was excellent, especially considering it was her first day. I ordered the fish and chips, and they were absolutely delicious. C got the beef stew, and it was honestly the most flavorful stew I’ve ever had. The bathrooms were cute and clean, and the drinks were made perfectly.

Overall, we highly recommend this place for lunch or an early dinner. The inside has a vintage-esque feel, and we were truly impressed. If you come to this part of town, plan some extra time to look around. Bonus: you can see the cruise ships across the street!“

“The Morrissey so kindly allowed me to come in before hours to do a photoshoot with a newly married couple. The vibes were immaculate, they had decked out the place with Christmas decor as the shoot was in December. They were even willing to make us drinks although they hadn't opened yet! The staff was super accommodating and let us do what we wanted in the space. And the photos came out great!“

Clientele are either pleasant or indifferent to your presence and not causing any issues. Pool table is straight and drinks are cheap. I'd recommend to anyone wanting to check out a safe dive. “The staff were friendly and attentive, and it’s a decent mid-range bar. Having TVs everywhere is a big plus, especially if you want to watch sports or live games.

The only downside was that the fries took about 20–30 minutes to arrive. Considering it’s just fries, especially at a bar, they shouldn’t take that long to prepare. Other than that, the service was quick overall. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend it.“

“Made it in time for Happy hour last night and it feels like I ripped them off as I had a meal and a drink and my bill came up to 25 bucks. Oh I ordered the cauliflower bites and the avocado roll. Both really tasty and fulfilling. The drink was a passionfruit smash or something along the lines of that and it was also very good. I could see myself drinking too many of those. Never a good idea. But over all I would Def go back again.“

“Top tier semi hidden bar! It's a bit of a time capsule to an older-Van style, unpretentious sports-bar roadhouse type place. The location is unusual, sort of at the basement of an apartment complex on a road you've never been to before, situated on an urban residential cul-de-sac, giving the bar a sheen of surreality.

With many pool tables, lots of tables, two big screens for 2 different games to watch, and good prices for beer, I'd be here all the time if it was local to me.

Special mention for the food: had the chef's special lasanga last night and it was so good ordered a second dinner to try!
