“It is just… not chill. The food is great… I’ve worked in restaurants, and the vibe of the place seems hostile. The staff seems almost nervous to screw up. There’s a tension, I’m never really comfortable just spending time in there. If you’re looking for a place to drink alcohol and eat good food and don’t care about the vibe then absolutely, the food is great“

“What a great experience my husband and I had yesterday! Unfortunately, we didn’t take any pictures before we realized how good everything was—it was too late! 😂

I want to give a big round of applause to the chef for creating such a unique dining experience. It’s so refreshing to find something different from other restaurants, where so many dishes tend to feel the same with just average quality. This meal definitely stood out!

We had the 7oz CAB Sirloin with Pernod Peppercorn Sauce, Kennebec Fries & Kanaka Salad and the Seafood Tagliatelle, and both dishes exceeded our expectations.
The portions were generous, steak was cooked beautifully, and the Pernod peppercorn sauce (what a great addition!) was absolutely incredible! The Kanaka salad was a wonderful surprise—the raspberry and poppy seed vinaigrette was fresh, unique, and full of flavor. (I will try to recreate it at home -so much I love it!!) The fries were perfectly cooked, crispy, and served in a generous portion.

The Seafood Tagliatelle was another standout. We didn’t expect such a large serving with plenty of pasta and seafood, and the sauce was rich, delicious, and perfectly balanced.

Combined with the friendly, attentive staff, the entire experience was outstanding. Every bite was enjoyable, with unique flavors and excellent quality. We’ll definitely be back!“

“This was my first time here, and my boyfriend’s first time here in a couple years. We were greeted very quickly after sitting down. Our waitress, I believe her name was Brenda (know from the receipt) was such a great waitress, so nice. The food was delicious, had a California club and my bf had the pulled pork Sammy. We will be back!“

About once a month we show up here for a lunch club with a few friends. Talk about life enjoy a good meal and a few laughs. It's a great place it's local food is good the service staff are awesome. You can usually find parking anywhere nearby.“

“I first had the Garlic Parmesan Fries and they were great. Friendly staff too. When I returned several more times, I also got the personal sized nachos, cod and chips, crispy chicken sliders, chili chicken, chili chicken rice bowl, and quesadilla with chicken (but no black beans or corn), all of which were great and flavourful! So tasty and highly recommended. It’s really hard to beat the crispy chicken sliders. They’re so great!“

“I was at the Horse and Ryder pub for dinner and a live show. It happened to be Darren Lee and Mario the entertainers. This was the best entertainment our group has seen in 2 years. They interacted with the audience and made us all part of the show. It was amazing. Last but not least was the amazing staff on. Our server Samantha was one if the best we have seen in ages. Handled our two tables with ease and a smile. Such a pleasant girl. She was awesome. Her lovely smile made us feel so welcome. When you have Darren Lee and Mario again please let us know. And hoping Samantha is on the same night. ♥️“

“Very quiet local conveniently located near the river. Beautiful scenery just outside the door. There is outdoor seating and it is family friendly. We had a couple of appies and a couple of drinks. The drinks were cold and the food was hot. They had nice atmosphere and good service. We will visit again sometime.“

The Fox and Fiddle in Surrey is Absolutely spectacular the staff. Keerat, Jade, Jessica, Jessica, Amrit, Yash , Emma go above and beyond in every level from the exceptional service, Actually happy and friendly no fake BS all around great vibe!. Their pricing Daily specials, quality of food is second to none in the lower mainland in my opinion and I’ve spent some serious money out eating and drinking in these parts. I have been coming here for 15 years and this place used to bump but after Covid like everything else, all the Mom and Pop shops took a serious hit.
It’s time for us to support local again and quit giving these mega corporations our hard earned dollars.
Do yourself a favour and stop by for breakfast lunch dinner a pint whatever you’re into you will not be disappointed.

“First night there we were able to sit on the patio. It is nice and warm out there and the atmosphere for conversations is fantastic! We went back the next night (Saturday) and got there as the patio was closing. Unfortunately we weren't able to stay due to the lights inside (I have epilepsy and can't do the flashing lights) Will definitely go back again when the patio is open and have dinner and drinks again“
