“Me and my friend were there earlier today. Our server Tia was absolutely phenomenal! She has such a friendly, professional demeanor and she is very very knowledgeable and gives amazing recommendations. I ordered a French 75 and originally it was too strong. Tia then suggested adding some sprite or seven up and then it was so so so perfect! The bartender is also extremely talented. He added just the right amount of sprite or seven up to make the French 75 the perfect combination of sweet and tart. It is really really impressive how accommodating this place is. I would give 10 stars if I could. Overall, such a great experience and I will definitely be back. This first visit set the bar sky high.“

“This place is a hidden gem. We went on Saturday for karaoke night, and was great, we had so much fun.

The house beer during Happy Hour is excellent, and the chicken tenders with fries are a pretty large portion.

The servers are nice and friendly. We'll be back!

“We live in the neighbourhood and decided to check out this pub. I didn't have any expectations for the food. I was very pleasantly surprised by how yummy the food is here. The steal and truffle fries is really exceptional ??. There was live music when we came in. Our server was also great and quick. Being a pub the tables and rug have that build up smell of spilt drinks and sticky tables. Overall a great experience and I would dine here again. Thank you.“

“We arrived right when a large dinner party was leaving, so we had to wait quite a while to get seated, for someone to take our order, and for water to arrive. Otherwise, the food was amazingly cheap for how much you received! We also received extra ice cream at the end for the trouble.“

“Best the pub has been in years.Latest reno/refresh has really brought some life back to the BCIT pub. Bar has been brought down to the lower level which grants it easier access to the majority of the seating. New, stylish high-back couches create booth-like areas with moderate privacy.Menu offers up a better selection of burgers, sandwiches and other pub affair in the 11-15 range. Personally, I think this is the best option for food in terms of flavour if you have the option to wait (sit down or take out). I would love for an option order online or via app(prepay) and pick up.Original review was 2018, update for 2024: Most of the burgers/sandwiches are $18 now making this a poor lunch option and an okay dinner option.“

“I love visiting this place. Especially because of its design which, I think, has been converted from a residential setting to fit a full fledged restaurant and bar. I believe that’s why it gives that homely feeling.

The staff are very friendly and the best part about them is that they make you feel welcome. Each time you go, there is a warm and comfortable air of familiarity.

Out of curiosity I have tried Ebi Fries, Gyoza and Takoyaki here and found it very well done. I mostly come by to have beer and french fries since it is close to my current residence.

I am curious as to why they would name the pub after Dickens’ character, but I will ask that later. For now I will continue to frequent for drinks and hospitality.

I hope to try their Shrimp Rice in the future with Sapporo as I have already tried the Chicken Wings and found them absolutely delectable.“
