“I love a good local pub and during our family stay in the area for the World Cup I made a couple of trips here once the family was settled in the evening. They had football on all the screens and jerseys hanging from the ceiling so definitely got into the World Cup spirit. I was also there on trivia night and it was such a great vibe! Staff were so friendly and the food I ordered was awesome, definitely recommend!“

“Overall a great place, however they allow smoking on the patio right next to a door and sitting at the bar you get the horrible stench of tobacco every time the door to the patio opens. Really should not allow smoking on the premises.“

“This Brown’s on Glen has incredible service, Incredibly compassionate staff, and their food, especially the blackened chicken cowboy salad is like it used to be and back to phenomenal….yum… the chicken was so so tasty and tender …yummy! We were there the last week in May and while the service was slow it was still great!! The manager came by and apologized and also insisted he pay for a couple of drinks for us. Even though we insisted on paying as we simply appreciated him apologizing for the slow service. We had a great discussion about how hard it is to staff restaurants. I can’t recommend this Brown’s enough. Great place to go with two people, a small group or a large group.“

Jess and kayla are especially great bartenders and are always fast to make sure everyone is happy while at the bar. the experience is always fun and welcoming and other guests are always happy to meet new people would highly recommend coming to this bar“

For drinks, it’s usually quicker to head to the bar since servers can take a bit to come back, but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the experience. “I hadn't been in 4 months until this weekend and it looks like they recently had some staff turnover, but it's all good. I look forward to meeting the new staff. Weekend brunch was decent for bar food. It's a good idea. I'll be going back for that. I thought everything was pretty pricey, but then I had to remind myself that Canadian prices are not like US prices. The liquor tax here is bonkers. So, I guess their prices are on point for the area. Fleetwood is my favorite area in Surrey. I like this place as being my local hang out that me and my chums can walk to. It's also a good first date place because it's pretty low key. I.E., not loud, it has an upbeat ambiance (especially cozy on a rainy day), and you can actually have a conversation and hear each other. Another positive is that they cater to a wide demographic. All ages, all races, and so there are lots of regulars. I have found that the patrons are generally easy going and so a conversation can started pretty easily.“

“Had an amazing lunch today at Sapperton District Taphouse. I ordered the House Salad with cajun chicken and my daughter had the Kung Pao Noodle Bowl. We both loved our meals! We also tried the Moscow Mule they have on tap and a pint of the Vertical Winter Ale from Tree (drank that too fast to take a pic, so good). We felt very comfortable the whole time. Lots of covid restrictions in place and we especially liked that our utensils came individually packed and sanitized. We found out this place is entirely locally owned and they have a cold beer & wine store inside!! We took home some Rock Creek Cider on our way out. We will definitely be coming back soon.“

“We came in after we attended the New Westminster Pride festival. Our server (Bev) was a delight. I'm allergic to wheat, so I was happy to see there were a couple of gluten free options on the menu. They specialize more in pizzas and burgers. My friend and I shared the nachos. They came with an adequate amount of cheese and toppings. I added a side of guacamole, it was really tasty, but the portion was a tad small. I would order 2 sides next time. The salsa needed a little salt, but otherwise it was nice and fresh. Overall we had a wonderful experience here and we will be back.“

“Food at Jolly Mac's is consistently very good. service is always friendly. One issue is that I have been shopping at the Liquor Store for 17 years. They always had tax and deposit included in the prices. Suddenly their prices have been changed to not have tax and deposit. I am not sure why this was done. It was always better to know the price you see is the price you pay. I think this was a poorly thought out decision.“

“Super nice staff, insanely good prices. We just randomly arrived on a cold day as we were hungry and it was nearby. They even moved out a table for us as there wasn't any open at the time. Loved the Yorkies and yam fries. They mistakenly gave us extra fries too and just let us have it free. Will definitely consider going again if I'm in the area.“

“Hops Pub is a small Local pub located right outside the New Westminister sky train station...they have a good selection of beers and wine... they are not big on cocktails...Laid back environment...they have special events such as trivia....Covered heated patio with fire pits...open Late until 1:00 am weekends...close earlier week nights.. The kitchen closes early... so go early if you want food... they focused on drinks... My server told me i could bring in food from other establishments if i wanted...Hops is located in the same building as the Old Spaghetti Factory.. make sure you find the right door for the pub...Hops enterance is right below the escalators to sky train....the closest pub in New West to sky train... Hops is just a small basic pub...nothing special about it... if your looking for a fancy place for a Gala event... Hops is not your place...“

“I attended the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce networking event at Samz Neighbourhood Pub, and the evening felt like stepping into a pocket of warmth and community. The pub was the perfect setting — relaxed, welcoming, and full of friendly faces.

Samz staff were attentive all night, the drinks were great, and the space created the ideal backdrop for conversations that flowed as easily as the atmosphere.

I met so many amazing local business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders — each conversation felt like a spark that could grow into something meaningful. Events like this remind me why I love living and doing business in the Tri-Cities.

“Met up there with a bunch of friends. We hadn’t seen each other in so long, we spent most of the time yapping. Our waitress was very sweet, efficient and friendly, assuring us we could take our time. The food was good, the atmosphere was fine, and the company great. Would definitely go back!“

“We meet weekly for lunch and receive excellent service from our server Amanda. The numbers vary however, there could be 10 of is or 20. She takes our orders, doesn’t write anything down and it all comes out at the same time… hot, delicious and correct. Looking after a large group is a total Team effort but she nails it!

“Top tier semi hidden bar! It's a bit of a time capsule to an older-Van style, unpretentious sports-bar roadhouse type place. The location is unusual, sort of at the basement of an apartment complex on a road you've never been to before, situated on an urban residential cul-de-sac, giving the bar a sheen of surreality.

With many pool tables, lots of tables, two big screens for 2 different games to watch, and good prices for beer, I'd be here all the time if it was local to me.

Special mention for the food: had the chef's special lasanga last night and it was so good ordered a second dinner to try!

“My boyfriend's boys love Browns so that's where we took them last night. Chicken Alfredo, a burger with fries, fish and chips, and potato crusted cod. Solid food, good service. My only real complaint was how loud it was. Both the little and I got overstimulated from the noise by the end, but we'll be back.“

“This branch is always really good.. there’s never been a time when I had anything wrong with my order and I’ve been here so many times, it’s basically my go to now because of the good experience I get everytime I visit. We’re here Friday night at 10:40 pm but the food still came out fresh. And the food is always tasty and good. Customer service is one of the best in Surrey too.“

“I have ordered here numerous times and I have have also dined in with a friend a few times. Browns Socialhouse has great food and great service. It is easy to get to and the menu is diverse. There is a lot of parking outside and it is a normal staple to eat at.“

“We love dining at Brown's Maple Ridge for family outings, or date nights. The atmosphere is a good time for all, feels more like downtown vibes, which is hard to find in our area. The crafted cocktails are delicious and the appies are great for sharing.

“July 26/25 I arranged to have a birthday party for my son - in- law 69th birthday unfortunately, he died Easter Monday. But we honoured his wishes and went forward with the party, at the elk's club.
We had around 100 people there and the compassion, kindness and accommodation were awesome! A huge thank you to Joe Edan for giving us this spot. And huge thank you to Tabitha and the other bar tender ( his name has slipped my mind ) for their amazing service.
This would not have been a success, without the team work of the staff at the Elk Club!!!

I’m very broke and don’t spent much apart from the main course and maybe a drink, I’m a student so often I feel servers can tell I won’t buy much so don’t offer the best service, this wasn’t the case here. They were constantly checking in on us, refilling our waters and offering great service. Food is good - offers lots of options from different cultures. I would want to come back here with family so I could maybe spend more freely. The atmosphere is casual but nice.“
