“Fantastic food, the chicken teriyaki is a must try along with the spicy tuna roll. The sushi rice and salmon was very fresh and highest quality. Service was also impeccable, the server was very attentive and constantly made sure my tea was full. This place is a must try if you are ever in the area. 10/10“
“I was so impressed at the quality of the sushi. I thought beforehand that “how good can mall food court sushi be?” Boy, was I wrong to assume it could not be as good as it was. In fact, due to a misunderstanding in my part, where I ordered an extra miso soup, on top of the meal which included it, the hostess apologized for not letting me know and brought me a small sushi treat on the house. The sushi chef was awesome as well and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, so I will be returning.“
“I love this place a lot! Literally blended into the vibe of the North Shore aesthetic as it is tucked into a very vintage little shoppe, that you can barely see in the Lower Lonsdale community. The only thing you can spot is that little sign hanging right outside the window. This is one of those places, if you know, you know it is a Green Leaf Sushi.I was in the Lower Lonsdale area, because I work along the North Shore now, and had to come drop by for a light lunch before going back to work. I searched it up on Yelp where to eat, and this was the spot. I parked and then walked along the street, passing by this place a couple times and couldn't find it until I looked up and saw that sign. LOL. Yup, it is Green Lean Sushi alright!!I walked into the restaurant and was greeted with a great big smile from the person at the front. The guy at the front was extremely nice and welcoming. I told him it was hard to decide because I have always love the Green Leaf Sushi in K-town Burnaby area a lot. And I told him I have always love their Mackerel Oshi and I always ordered, but I wanted something different that day. I ordered their Aburi Tobiko Roll, and my god it was delicious!!It is different in how they made this version of the Aburi Tobiko Roll, because they have to roll it first in order to then aburi the top of the sushi. The best part was the little japeleno at the top of it to make each bite just a little bit more fruity and spicy. Amazing!! On top of that, they gave me a small side of cooked Mackerel as a side piece! When I told them how much I love mackerel!! I was so happy! It really made my visit so special for sure!! And yes, I will be back sometime in the future bringing co-workers for some sushi!!But to be honest, the best part is just the restaurant itself. It is so beautifully aesthetic to the Vintage North Shore style it fits perfectly. I love the little lights and their decor. It wins for me in every aspect. And of course, they play KPOP on their speakers, I was dancing to Twice and eating my sushi. Perfect atmosphere for sure!! Love the place, and will be back for sure!!“
“The place its pretty and the service is excellent.Good prices if you don't have a lot of money.Inside of restaurant, has a luxury atmosphere.Waiter offer and excellent service.I'm not very fanatic of sushi, but California Rolls was excellent.Recommend it.“

“Sushi was great. Ingredients were fresh, and everything was assembled and plated well. The service was even better. Every staff member worked collaboratively, was attentive, and very pleasant. I never had to ask for anything to be taken away or refilled, and my food always came quickly. My only 2 gripes about this restaurant is that they have limited seating and their prices are probably 50% higher than most other sushi places.“
“The place is quiet, clean, and has a nice ambiance. The servers are friendly and accommodating. Servings are huge. My family always orders katsu for each of us on top of sushi and tempura. You should try all the variety of sushi. Looks like we love most of it. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some quiet, good food with good company. ?“
“A local North Vancouver gem for Japanese food. The quality and consistency of this place is always good in the three years that I have been going here. They have daily specials which are not on the menu so something to check when you’re there. It can get a bit busy during dinner time so make reservations.“
“It was great to be able to taste fresh raw fish, and there was a lot of it! I went for a company dinner and it wasn't lacking at all, both in terms of taste and quantity!! Not only the raw fish but also the fries were fried so well and crunchy and delicious. I'm going to go again next time.“
“The server and chef are really friendly and have a great ambience. This is a hidden gem and I would love to visit again.I tried udon, yam roll, veggie roll, veggie spring roll and veggie gyoza. A bit expensive but worth it ❤️Vegetarian options: Yam, avocado, veggie and many other options“
“This meal was one of my favourite sushi meals of my life! I've been very fortunate to experience sushi almost weekly since I emigrated here from the UK 15 years ago. Hands down, this was in my top 2 favourite sushi experiences. Eat here, tell your friends to eat here and share the love to anyone and everyone you know!“
“I regularly order from them online but they always inconsistent despite my notes. Sometimes they don’t put any chopsticks. Today they only put one soy sauce packet. I ask for extra ginger so they missed that today too but the last time they placed three packs of it. Wont be ordering again.“
“This has become a favorite local sushi spot for our family! Food is really good and fresh! Friendly staff, and it's very close to us which is great! And the price is right! 15-20% less than the other neighborhood sushi places and much better!“
“Great sushi store! I came here and enjoyed a lunch box, we also had the sukiyaki beef don. Both were delicious and a good serving size! We both took leftovers to go and had it for lunch the next day!Super friendly service and a well kept restaurant. It got busy at lunch so it's not a secret that it's a gem. Will be returning often and I recommend you try it out too!“
“Was skeptical with the daunting menu and the prices that I saw online before I attended the restaurant. One would think it's a regular sushi place and why are the prices so high?Well you must visit to dispell that notion. Creative fusion dishes, clean atmosphere, bigger than average sushi portions, make this place a must try!“
“This is a nice little spot for sushi. It’s probably best for take out but they do have a few tables. The staff are really nice. The food is tasty and priced fair. It’s a busy shop so the sushi tastes very fresh. I gave it five stars because it is exactly what it should be and they are doing a good job at it!“
“It never fails to amuse me how good sushi in Vancouver in general.I picked this place at random. It had a quick and polite service. Sushi were fresh and tasty. Prices are very reasonable.Marking this place on my Google map and highly recommend to others.“
“Had the Salmon and Tuna Chirashi, which was reasonably priced at $16.95. While the sashimi was more thinly sliced than at other establishments, it came with 4 of each fish, as well as some tamago and avocado slices. Was a filling enough portion for dinner and came with a generous bowl of miso soup (double in size from what I usually get at other Japanese restaurants!). We found the Chicken Yakisoba to have a good portion of battered chicken, but it was too saucy for our liking. It was quite liquid-y and thinner than what we're used to. The California Roll was good, it came with lots of imitation crab meat in the ratio to cucumber/avocado. Service was fairly prompt and food came out in a timely manner. Would return if in the area!“
“This is located in Lynn Valley Centre in North Van. The servers are friendly and the place is busy as people have discovered that it's a good quality place for sushi. Their food is always fresh and tasty and has been reliable for us over the years. It is a mall location and the atmosphere reflects that, and while friendly the service is not a feature of the restaurant. But like I said, they are friendly which helps a lot.“
“I thought it was kind of expensive when I looked at the menu. However, when I got the food, it was totally explainable. The quality and the amount of food was amazing. It was the first time my son left salmon. He was so satisfied. The service was great. My cup was never empty.“
“We are spoiled on the lower mainland in terms of access to sushi... But i come here as a reminder as to what good sushi is all about. Whether it is the usual sushi items: the fish is fresh, sauces and soups have a complex taste rather than the generic hit of MSG. The wow factor comes from the availibility of fresh fish not seen elsewhere... And always treated sensibly. Nothing flashy... The fish speaks for itself. Excellent service. Bathrooms are clean but could use an update.“
“First time visit there so I don’t know about the rest of food served there, but what I had was very good! I ordered salmon avocado roll and have never seen such BIG chunks of salmon in the roll! Miso soup was very yummy. Very satisfied! I’m a Japanese so I think I know the quality of sushi. Very friendly staff. Overall, 5 star from me. I hope my next visit will be successful again ??“
“Ate at Genji's after a long day of riding bikes. Just came down from Seymour and was looking for a spot. Staff were super accommodating, watched our bikes for us as we ate, even helped charge my phone!Food was top notch. The tofu teriyaki really hit the spot, and the seaweeds salad (4 different types of seaweed) was really unique and delicious. Wish there had been more of it, but made it more special I suppose. Was served with lemon, which rounded the flavour out really well. Not the typical nuclear green experience at all.Weird thing to note: the washroom was insanely nice? Like, use the washroom.10/10, I'd recommend cyclists hit this spot up aside from the fact that I cant say we quite fit in with the other folks there ?Vegetarian options: Tonnes of optionsWheelchair accessibility: Not sure it was ada compliant but wide doorways, washroom seemed accommodating“
“The food is great for the price, it's a solid 4.5/5 but it's not gourmet sushi. The service is adequate but they will not be coming to ask if you need anything else after bringing you your initial order. Still, I frequently visit this place with my family when I'm in the area which is usually about once a week. The place is clean and I've never been disappointed with the food which is consistently good. The service could be better but I have no complaints about it as they've never been rude just not what I would consider friendly. The fact I go there often should be enough ofor a positive review ✌️Vegetarian options: They have veggie rolls and a few vegetarian options“
“I like this place, and would go more, but the prices are too high.I live in the area, and have never been disappointed with either the food or service. The sashimi in particular is generous, well-cut, and fresh. Rolls are good, nothing earth shattering in terms of unique offerings, but everything you'd expect is there and is done well.As others have noted, this is the priciest of the sushi options in Lynn Valley. Caution to those that use the online ordering, prices are even higher there because of the system they use. Call in your order for regular menu prices to save a few dollars.Bottom line, good sushi, good service, premium price.“
“This was my first Omakase-style sushi experience and it did not disappoint! It made our typical western style sushi restaurant seem like McDonalds. I discovered that, when aged and prepared with thoughtfulness and care, I enjoy ALL varieties of raw fish (nor do I need to add soya sauce or wasabi). From the moment you set foot in this establishment it is apparent how much consideration has gone into every detail of the consumers experience. Well worth every penny and I look forward to returning for a special occasion and introducing it to others. So happy to have such an intimate and exclusive fine dining experience on the North Shore.“
