“This is a sushi restaurant that I truly love. I used to believe that restaurants inside shopping malls generally couldn’t match the quality of standalone sushi restaurants, but this place completely shattered that stereotype. It’s the only restaurant inside Capilano Mall that’s always packed with people, and because of that high turnover, the fish is always fresh and delicious. Every time I visit, I find myself deliberating over what to order because I want to try everything on the menu. There’s always a reason why a place stays consistently crowded, and this restaurant is proof of that. Highly recommended!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​“

“All of the pastries are excellent. The egg pie is smooth, and it was just right. The ensaymada is soft and moist. The donut was really good, it was freshly baked and my daughter loves it. I highly recommend!“

“Delicious noodles! Prompt service. Tom yum was the perfect level of sour and spicy. Got out with the thick noodles which had a really nice chew. I don’t usually love shrimp, but these were fresh as they had a nice bounce.

Only down part is that it’s really warm - perhaps not enough AC / fan. Air circulation not great, but otherwise the space is cozy and cute.“

“Went on a friend date and really enjoyed our meals. Nice atmosphere, not too loud, and easy to have a conversation. Staff were super quick and friendly. The futomaki was their specialty and really good! We also tried the mango salad, which was nice and refreshing. All of the food was really well made and fresh! Reservations recommended.“

“Visited late at night. One of the few restaurants opening late. Had the Bo Luc Lac (wok-fried beef) and prawn tempura. Best beef I have had in a long while. Steak was excellent with just the right amount of softness to bite through. The tempura was interesting fusion of Japanese and Vietnamese sauce. Service was great. I believe the chef personally brought out a dish.

“Delicious broth on the Pho, tasty Maki rolls, and great service. We stopped in because it was right there, and do not regret it at all! I ordered the house noodles, a pho with beef slices and beef balls, and my husband ordered Maki rolls. She brought an extra bowl, in case I wanted to share my noodle soup, which I did, because the broth was go good. And inexpensive, a plus. It's a little whole in the wall, but clean and a good number of tables.“

No complaints in the taste department from me.CONS:I used to eat here twice a week at least when they had the 10% off when ordering online, but since the removal, I have eaten there a few times since last year.The price is similar to restaurant food, so a bit expensive considering it is food court food. Maybe this is due to the addition of the "free" drink. Maybe it is now due to the cost of food.The "free" drink included with some of the items should be removed. One reason is because of the cup fee in Vancouver. The other is that I don't care much for the drinks. Choice would be nice and hopefully will reduce the price of the meal and reduce unnecessary waste.“

“Great hidden cafe/restaurant that is walking distance from Braid Skytrain station. I’m fortunate to live a short 10 minute walk away from Babs, so I usually stop by 1-2x a week for their delicious breakfast and Korean food.

The front of house staff member/manager (i think her name is Jane?) is really nice as well! 10/10 recommend Babs for those who live a short walk or drive away :)“

The service was excellent. The female staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Definitely 5-star service.

Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was affected by the environment. There was a noticeable unpleasant smell coming from the restroom that reached the dining area, which made the atmosphere less enjoyable. I’d rate the environment 2 stars.

“A little cramped, a little dingy, a little disorganized, this restaurant will win you over not with looks but with comfort food, refreshing soda, and a kind soul.

The curry chicken is presented like an omurice with several fat chunks of chicken around it. The chicken was pleasantly soft and chewy, and went well with the curry sauce. The rice was a bit hard, but no points lost for that. I could eat it just fine with the thinly spread egg. The star of the show was actually the berry soda! Sweet but with the right amount of tanginess, and with some berry pulp at the bottom to top it off!

There was enough soda in one cup to last me two meals. It’s enough of a selling point for me to return. I usually don’t drink soda, but damn, you got to me. Thank you!“

After a short conversation they said they would give us a 10 percent discount, We also refused!
