“Their soups are a near-weekly staple throughout the winter. Very flavorful and tons of fresh vegetables. Over time we’ve expanded to try other things on the menu and it’s always excellent. Dishes that can be greasy at other places are not here and the ingredients seem a cut above. Super friendly folks, always immaculately clean; reliably one of our favorite places in town.“

Service: Normal nice service

Food: Beef pho - not as much meat as I’ve had at other places and meat was a bit chewy (I don’t believe the broth was hot enough to fully cook the meat because there was still slight pink). Noodle texture normal. Broth flavorful but a bit too salty after a while. Had a lot of greens on top. Size was normal I think but the bowl made it appear larger. Final rating: 3/5
Grilled Chicken Fried Rice - Different flavor and vegetables from other places but had a surprising depth of flavor. Did not have a lot of chicken unfortunately. A little oily but I believe that’s normal with fried rice. Final rating: 4/5

Overall comments: wouldn’t recommend if you’re trying to reach a protein goal but the portions were good and we were full afterwards. Taste was good just a bit salty. I would come back to try something else. Best pho in Bellingham? Not in my opinion but it’s a good option if you don’t mind not having a lot of meat. First time coming here, look forward to more experiences.

“I always enjoy my experience at On Rice Thai. The owners provide an exceptional customer experience and are attentive. The dishes are rich in flavor and blend authentic elements together. One of my favorite new dishes is Khao Moo Dang, which is a BBQ pork fried rice with hard boiled egg and cucumber. The sauce is nice and sweet, but it is balanced with a hot sesame oil with jalapeno. “I have walked by this place more times than I can count without trying it out. Well today I went in on my lunch break and was absolutely blown away by the quality. I ordered a chicken bento box which came with Soup, Salad, gyoza and tempura, along with a healthy portion of chicken teryaki and rice.

Also tried their housemade hot sauce and couldn't believe how delicious it was. Come check this place out!“
