“The servers were really helpful and accommodating with our group of 11 people and 2 toddlers. Service was top notch. Food was very tasty and the dessert bar was great. Food is pricy but definitely will recommend and will come back again.“
“This place is amazing. I’ve been here two times and both times they didn’t disappoint, staff were very attentive and accommodating with me and my mother. There are many things and combinations to choose from on the menu. I ordered the triple iron plate with Grilled Squid, 3 Lamb Skewers, and Deep Fried Fish Filet with a Sunny Side-up Egg and noodles (w/ corn, peas and carrots). The Mushroom Tomato sauce compliments the meat and noodles when drizzled on top. It is so0o0o delicious. I also ordered the Assorted Fried Basket A1 (mix of breaded chicken nuggets, Taiwanese sausage, fish cakes, prawn crackers, and green beans). I recommend getting the Brown Garlic Dipping Sauce - it cost $0.75 extra but totally worth it with the basket. I also ordered a Mango Slush with Boba Pearls + Pudding. I would definitely come back again to try other dishes.“
“Although I have bad service when I eat in person before pandemic awhile back, this place honestly taste very good and I've been ordering a lot from this place in Uber eats. Once in awhile chicken may be over cooked but overall, it's a really good place. ( I only order rice combos )“
“The food and the service are really good. The price is very reasonable.Th fried chicken is so yummy and I loved the spicy seafood soup. The portion wa so big that two of us couldn't finish the whole thing. The atmosphere could be better, sme renovations might help a bit but it's not something that will stop me of going there again.I would definitely go there again to have that yummy fried chicken and the spicy noodle soup ?The black beans noodles dish was also delicious. The noodles in both dishes were very good felt like a homemade noodles.“
“Happy w their service . I enjoyed my satay seasoned fries w yuzu mayo, coconut curry tofu box with roasted eggplant, tamarind sauce, brown rice, and mango ginger ale drink even if it’s just syrup and carbonated drink. Cozy joint , quite sad that they don’t sell rootbeer in glass bottles “
“I got take out from here over the weekend. The wait was longer than stated but still reasonable for a Saturday night. We tried it because Uber constantly has a BOGO deal for their saba aburi (among many other BOGO items) and also we were craving sashimi. The food is okay but definitely not the best sushi out there. I might not even order the aburi again if not for BOGO. But we were absolutely blown away by the portion and price. The bento box A has SO much food: 2pcs prawn tempura, 2pcs yam tempura, teriyaki chicken on rice, 8pcs California roll, salad and miso soup!! And it’s $10.95!! I really don’t know where to find these prices for a meal anymore…I feel like the price is comparable to a fast food meal, maybe even cheaper than recent grocery prices!Overall, everything else was decent and fresh too. So definitely recommend if you’re craving sushi but trying to save $$, just don’t expect anything fancy!TLDR: pretty average sushi place, made up for by the very generous portions and extremely affordable prices“
“Very good, I like the fish tofu special pho and I like the egg noodles it comes with. I wish there is extra noodles option instead of only giving us the option of the bowl size (small medium large). I like that they give us fortune cookies. Barely any people and the building smells very good. Their salad rolls have some of the best presentations“
“Located in Burnaby on Kingsway. Family owned Cantonese restaurant. I was craving a combo for one and this place seemed like a good option. Ordered takeout . Pretty big portions of chow mein, sweet and sour pork with pineapple and some vegetable chop suey. It was pretty good and satisfied my craving, but was just average overall. Will probably try this restaurant again and dine in to see if there’s a difference in taste and quality.“
“As an absolute food crazed individual I have to say Chef Han's restaurant Kosoo + Raw Bar is one of my favourite restaurants, here and abroad, so far. The chef was away for a while, on his return we visited and it was brilliant as usual. I have never been disappointed only always impressed beyond my expectations. Welcome back Chef Han!“
“This review is for the potsticker dumplings and the wonton and BBQ pork fried rice. Coming from Japan and really loving the vibe of the place, my partner seemed to have a found love for the food. She said the potsticker dumplings were some of the best she’s ever had in Vancouver and I would agree. She loved the wonton which I’ve always described as a style of wonton that was the de rigueur before the shrimp wontons came from Hong Kong in the eighties. The old school home made style Cantonese flavours are ever present here in their Chinese food. It’s one of my favourites which is getting harder and harder to find these days. Now if they decide to make that old style Wok hey flavoured minced beef and rice with fried egg. I’ll tell everyone all over again to get that! (But it’s not in the menu). Maybe they’ll add it to the menu? Anyways, I was happy that I introduced a new fan to the Northern Cafe and more happy that I got their special hot sauce! And yes, I do agree that when Yelp said they were number one. They still are!“
“The food here is delicious! Owner and his crew are very friendly and took his time to help me how could I add a review. I made a mistake by myself because I found the bowl not big as I expected but the owner explained that if I paid $1 more I could get as much as I wanted . I had the Braised Beef Noodles and the beef was so fresh and it was delicious! The noodles were cooked to perfection and the broth was flavourful and savoury. Each table doesn’t have the pack of chilly oil, vinegar and soy sauce even though I recommend this restaurant to everyone like asian foods.“
“Finally, I had a chance to stop into Fat Mao and they didn't disappoint. Was also glad i beat in the lunch rush.Ordered the roti and spicy boat noodles. I was happy that the roti wasn't oily, it was nicely cooked & crispy. The spicy boat noodles were flavourful and definitely a good serving size. Can't wait to go back.“
“We've been wanting to check this joint out and it was most satisfying! Food court atmosphere, very clean & quiet. My husband and I even shared the crispy pork belly lunch box and we were both very full with the delicious food. Can't wait to try the other specialties!Vegetarian options: Eggplant omelette is very tasty!“
“Argo Burger topped with bacon, cheese, fried onions and egg is served alongside a mound of fries. Delicious, whether eaten hot or cold. Fried chicken burger is one of the best in town. Fish and chips came with equal amounts of both, which translates into lots. Creamy Chicken chili con queso and heaping plateful of Spicy lamb on their respective beds of rice were stick-to-your-bones good. Then there's the home-baked pie and the OMG butter tart! If you're searching for comfort food with a serving of easy hospitality, this old-school Mount Pleasant diner is where you'll find it. #EastVanLoveRules“
“This absolutely our go-to for takeout! Food is always plentiful, tasty and freshly made, with fresh ingredients. Owners Paul and Sara are always, always friendly and helpful! Restaurant is for pick-up (a couple of seats if you need to wait, which has never happened to us) but clean and welcoming! Highly recommend!Parking: Plent of free parking right outside“
“I was so impressed at the quality of the sushi. I thought beforehand that “how good can mall food court sushi be?” Boy, was I wrong to assume it could not be as good as it was. In fact, due to a misunderstanding in my part, where I ordered an extra miso soup, on top of the meal which included it, the hostess apologized for not letting me know and brought me a small sushi treat on the house. The sushi chef was awesome as well and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, so I will be returning.“
“Delicious, vibrant food. Love their real fresh squeezed orange juice that is very refreshing. The banh mi had great meaty flavour and tasty sauciness to it. The green papaya salad was on the more vinegary acidic side. The tuna poke bowl was beautifully plated. Good, solid place for food.“
“The quality and presentation of the food was fantastic. Service was also perfect. The location and front of the restaurant does not tell the full story, the fixed menu delivers wonderul taste and quality of the food to compete with a Michelin star restaurant. We will be returning and look forward to the next menu.“
“We indulged in a variety of dishes at Miso Taco, including the Kimchi Nacho Fries with Chicken Karaage, Tuna Tataco, and Brilla Dilla with Ramen. The portions were generous and satisfying, offering great value for the price. We ended up taking some leftovers home as we couldn't finish it all in one sitting. The fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavors was executed perfectly. Travis, our server, was attentive and friendly. The restaurant tends to get quite busy, especially during happy hour, so I'd recommend making a reservation. We will definitely be returning for more!“
“I came to Vancouver on a business trip and I came to Deer Alley by myself. I ordered Signature Taiwanese Beef Noodle and fruit tea. There were only a few customers in the store. It was quiet. Quick and nice service here. There were quite a few menu items but I ordered Signature Beef Noodle and a fruit drink to take hotel. The signature beef noodles was quite spicy and made me cough at first. It was funny because other people were coughing in the same way. However, I soon got used to the spiciness and finished eating. The beef was tender and just the right amount. I ordered a lemon drink to take home and had it added with jelly and shredded coconut. The taste was bland because no sweetener was added. Maybe it would be easier to drink if it was sweetened. I would like to try other menu items next time.“
“My friend and I had a great experience. There was a mistake on our Crispy Rice Aburi, but the owner fixed it right away and even took it off our bill! Our server was also amazing and very attentive. The food was delicious. Would come back again! Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend!“
“Recently stopped by for a quick meal and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the chicken teriyaki dish was. The gyozas and dipping sauce were a nice add on. Definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: Fresh tofu vegetarian teriyaki rice or noodle dish“
“The soft tofu was the most delicious in all of Korea and Canada, and the seafood was plentiful. The cup rice had a great spicy flavor from the meat, and the rice itself had a nice chewy texture. Basically, you seem to have a good sense of cooking. And he is always kind.“
“Went to this place for a quick lunch, it was really nice and homely. The food was served quickly. The Green Roll was really nice and well made. And it was only $8!! They have a variety of options to choose from. I heard the Pho is the bestseller here. It's a small family run business, so please be polite. The server was really polite and respectful. We chatted for a little while and it was a really great experience. Will definitely go back again.“
“Kind service, really good food. We took our kids, even with them the bartender/server was great.I’d recommend ally he dishes we tried crispy noodles, pad Thai, and really great salad rolls. Really surprised that a place that does different cuisines does them so well. We will be back.Vegetarian options: Lots of tofu based dishes.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, lots of good dishes for kids.“
“Exceptional service and the best Sushi I have ever eaten! Upon arrival they brought to our table ice water and green tea (free) and allowed us to look at the menu for the right amount of time asking if it was our first visit! We started with Spicy Agedashi Tofu, followed by Tobiko Nagiri, salmon sashimi and their Mr Big Roll. DO NOT miss out on this amazing roll of you have the opportunity to try it out!“
“Indochine Kitchen is a wonderful destination for those seeking a taste of Southeast Asia in a cozy and inviting setting. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Asian cuisine or new to these exotic flavors, this restaurant is sure to leave a lasting impression. It's a place where you can savor the essence of Southeast Asia without leaving the city, and it's definitely worth a visit.“
“❤️?? Oh my… goodness!!! This place is a hidden gem in the area. Their portions for the price is honestly a steal! Quality and flavour of the food here is great as well. My coworkers and I discovered this place as our office moved in the area and discovering Mama’s Rice Bowl has blessed our lunchtime ?The only downside is that they close a tad bit earlier than I’d prefer but, it leaves room for us to desire their food all-the-more. Definitely going to add more details when I order from here again!*** Update:Went in person for pickup and the employees are very kind :) They’re located on the inside of their building and there’s no signage on the front of the building that they’re in. The area when you enter and are ordering is quite small but, they do have tables where you can eat your food and “dine in”. I took a picture of my food after one bite because… I couldn’t wait to eat it, sorry it’s not as aesthetic “
