El Sueñito Brewing Company Brewery • $

“El Sueñito is one of my favorite places to spend my money in Bellingham. I love the bright and yummy Mexican representation this place contributes to the community. Girl, we talking like Mexican-owned!Food? Amazing. Drinks? Delish. Music? Falls short, honestly. As a Mexican American, I want to feel like one establishment in town is playing beats for ME! I'm not asking for an all Spanish set list, but there are some incredible Latino artists to incorporate that won't scare away the crowds. Just sayin.“

Firehouse Arts & Events Center Bellingham Coffee & Tea • $$
1314 Harris Ave, Bellingham

“Firehouse has a super pleasant atmosphere inside and out, plus a very pleasant staff. Inside is a wood burning fireplace usually kept going in colder weather. Outside is an amazing sycamore tree which has been allowed to spread its branches: if the Buddha had lived in Bellingham this is the tree under which he would have been enlightened. A downside on the inside is that space is limited, and it can get crowded. The espresso drinks are good, not great. The menu is limited and neither inspired nor inspiring. Too, there is no way to find out what the day''s offering is either by internet or my phone.“

“My recent visit to Carnal, located around the Central Business District in Bellingham, WA, left me thoroughly impressed. Intrigued by the rave reviews, we decided to explore this local gem, and we're glad we did!Carnal's menu, though simple, offers a delightful array of dishes that showcase creativity and a commitment to quality ingredients. Each plate was interesting, expertly crafted and beautifully presented. While we couldn't indulge in their colourful cocktails on this visit due to the long drive ahead, we are excited to return and try them out.We captured a few highlights from our meal:* Housemade Brioche Rolls: These were incredibly soft and buttery, a definite must-order.* Fried Chicken Wings: Roasted in duck fat, these were hands down the best wings I have ever had.* Grilled Pork Rib Cap: A unique and flavorful dish.* Slow-Cooked Beef Short Ribs: It is no surprise that nearly every table enjoyed these. They were cooked and seasoned to perfection, truly unique.Overall, Carnal is a must-visit for anyone in Bellingham looking for a memorable dining experience. “The double cheeseburger at ACCOMPLICE is a great take on one of my all time favorite burger styles. It succeeds at being both original and necessary. Quality meat with a slightly coarse grind, excellent maillard crust on both patties, rich tang from the bone marrow mayo, possibly Martin's potato bun was both griddle toasted and steamed, and finally some much needed acid with a little heat to cut through it all from the house made pickles. I'll skip the shrettuce next time, but I always believe in trying the unadulterated classic on my first visit. I'm very happy this absolutely delicious and unique burger is available in Bellingham.
