“If you haven’t been to Battles Kitchen yet… run, don’t walk. I swear, I’ve tried something new every single time we’ve gone, and every time I leave wondering why we didn’t find this place sooner. The owner? Absolute gem of a human. The food? Straight up from another planet. So far I’ve had the crawfish boil, seafood boil, Cajun tenders, shrimp po’ boy, lemon cake, banana pudding, peach cobbler, lemon pepper wings, and beignets and every single bite has been perfection. I would gladly go broke buying dinner and dessert here every day if I could. If you haven’t tried them yet, you are 100% missing out. They never disappoint. Ever.“

“Kowloon Inn is truly a gem. What I value most in a restaurant is simple: great food, fast service, and fair prices—and they deliver on all three.

The server was friendly and genuine, which made the whole experience even better. The food was excellent—easily one of the best spots for this style of Chinese food. To put it in perspective, I’d say it outshines China Palace in Bellingham, and Panda Express would be a distant third.

The staff is quick and responsive, even when it gets busy (which is understandable given they’re short-staffed at times). But with 30 years in business, they clearly know how to make a mean chow mein.

If you go, I highly recommend their number combinations—they’re filling, tasty, and come out fast. Quick, yummy, and consistently satisfying—Kowloon Inn is second to none“

“Pepperoni and margarita pizzas were super delicious. The mozzarella and Pepperoni are great quality, the crust is crispy and holds up well. The red sauce is well balanced and flavorfull, exactly what I was craving. Great selection on tap, something for every taste. Had a lot of fun building a 6 pack to go, love getting to try new brews and ciders without committing to a whole pack of a new beer. Service was kind and quick!“

“Went here with my husband, got their goat cheese salad and him a sandwich and drink. Coffee was good, food was hearty but the real standout was the service. It was a cold day and I was out by the fire pit, when one of the proprietors offered to grab me some gloves and clothing because I looked cold. Can't speak on the bike repair side, but when I was ordering there was sounded like a animated (in a good way) and in depth conversation in that part of the store and it seems like they'll have your bike covered for whatever it needs.“

“This cafe is one of my favorites in town and I have taken multiple friends/family here! They have fun rotating seasonal drinks, a clean and visually appealing interior, dog-friendly outdoor patio space with water bowls available to borrow, and out-of-this-world scratch made biscuits. I love that I can use a punch card for biscuits and drinks too! Their roasted coffee is delicious, I especially love the birch latte. For food my partner loves the pimento biscuit sandwich, and I'm partial to the biscuit with high quality raspberry jam and butter. The indoor space is small, and it can get busy on a weekend! The huge windows are very inviting and it's great people watching from inside.“

“I give it a 3 out of 5. The food was wonderful. We got the pepperoni pizza, garlic knots and clam pasta dish. The place was very clean. the ONLY reason I cannot give this a place a 5 out of 5 is because the lady who was making looks like marscpone cheese at the front counter kept licking her fingers while making it ( I counted like 6 times in a 30 min wait time for food) then when they put the lid on the container they took thier finger and wiped off the excess and put it right in thier mouth and put it away. like i said the food was great ,but the whole time I got a whole show and it kinda ruined it for me especially since I drove over a hour to come to this place“

“This is my favorite neighborhood go to… Super dog, friendly, super people friendly!! Devan is my favorite beer tender, She always makes our visits there fun and inviting! The owners are just awesome people and the atmosphere is laid-back and very comfortable. The only thing I would change would be to have food trucks rotating so it’s not always fish and chips, Other than that, I highly recommend for anyone who hasn’t been there.“

“Our Pug Rescue- Evergreen Pug Rescue recently held an event here and it was a 10/10 experience. Loved the selection of beer and cider to choose from. The staff was extremely friendly and Shannon who called out the bingo numbers was hilarious. Loved that our pug Gloria got to run around and meet all the other dogs and people.“

“This was our first time here, and we're both mad as to not trying it out earlier!!! Food, service, fantastic friendly manager, atmosphere...all amazing! We were seated right away, never felt ignored, and had a window seat with a view of the harbor. Highly recommend - we WILL be back! I had the fish and chips - so so good! The fish batter was so crispy!! And the steak fries were great and crisp! My husband got the Big Bad Boy burger (3 patties)...he's a burger guy for sure...he was super impressed!!“

“It’s tucked away in an industrial area, but don’t let that turn you off. Some of the best spots are hidden—and this is definitely one of them. The Pineapple Habanero cider is freaking hot. If you’re into heat, it’s awesome. If not, there’s plenty of other solid options to try.

Chill, cozy vibe with a ton of outdoor seating. There was a pizza truck parked out front, snacks inside, and even cider slushies (yes, really). Super welcoming space—dogs, kids, families, everyone’s good here. It’s also clearly LGBTQ+ friendly, which is always great to see. Just an all-around inclusive and relaxed atmosphere.

They’ve got local art for sale, some cool merch, and they actively support other small businesses and community groups. The cider tender was friendly and knew their stuff without being pushy.
