Located across from the Whatcom Museum, nestled next to the bike shop is Velo, where bicyclist, visitors and locals gather.
Cafe Velo was a delightful breakfast/brunch for us as we headed up from Seattle to Vancouver. Zero wait/line and a pretty quick turnaround for our food made for stress free experience. All of the options we picked were super tasty, and the prices seemed fair. 5/5 stars.
Best bike repair in town. The guy people talk about when they say “I know a guy”. Fixed my bike up, answered my (possibly dumb) questions, and even offered to help me load my bike into my car. Honest prices, honest work.

The owner, Kim, is especially kind and attentive, often going out of her way to make customers feel at home, like offering a little cup of milk for a young child. Whether stopping in for a coffee and Danish or getting a bike fixed, visitors appreciate the fast, friendly service and reasonable prices. Many customers plan to return regularly, drawn by the welcoming environment and quality offerings.
