“Some days, when you wake up, everything feels wrong. A pinched back nerve, windy, wet deluge, an overwhelming sense of burden. That is how I woke up.
So I went to this adorable cafe for my umpteenth time, to find a tiny bright spot on a day best swept under the rug. And it was the highlight of the day. Amiable staff, a warm greeting, and the last Banana Bread Latte of the season brightened my otherwise dismal morning.
Would come here again. And again. And again.“

“Bread. Pudding. Muffin. I can’t believe how good it is! Some of the best atmosphere in town, always great beans. Place has been in our rotation for years, but the bread pudding muffin takes Adagio up a notch in my book. Pastries were average before, but we didn’t come for pastries. We came for beans snd vibes. A classic northwest coffee place from the golden age of coffee culture. A spiritual center of downtown Bellingham vibes that I hope lasts forever.
Now, they’ve always had great beans, but frankly the milk steaming and pouring execution had been getting a little weak for a while. But I think he was training an apprentice and showing em how it’s done, so it was amazing. We left our visit feeling like we should come once a week for that bread pudding muffin with coffees.“

“Shirlee is a wonderful person and the food and coffee are top notch. The sandwich that I ate was without a doubt the best sandwich that I have ever had. Her maple bars looked like works of art and are also absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend this wonderfully cafe.👍💯💓“

“Makeworth has made its mark on Bellingham as a fun communal space and coffee shop in town. They have a great menu of tasty breakfast items and roast their coffee beans amazingly. All their drinks are a great start to your day and they're a great space to connect with others or have some focus time for yourself! “Found this coffee served in a restaurant while visiting my son recently in Washington (they served the “Velvet Elvis” dark roast). I drove to Bellingham the next day to buy some and now have it shipped directly to me in Massachusetts! Absolutely perfect coffee. I am a serious but simple coffee drinker; I drink it black so I am pretty picky and this one is one of, if not the best I’ve ever had!“

“I drive this place a lot but today the timing was right and I decided to stop in. When I got there I told the lady that I hadn’t been here before, but I’m exhausted and want something as close to a coffee milkshake with caramel as I could get. She nailed it, that was one of the best fraps I have had in a very long time. I will definitely be back“

“Checked this place out on my way through Bellingham this afternoon & was Super impressed. Absolutely wonderful coffee, awesome pastries & the employees were rocking out to Whitney Houston! And they work on bicycles, which is Rad since I ride year around. Most definitely will be back!!!“

“Best coffee place in town! We've been going here for years and the coffee is consistently great. The staff is friendly and professional and fast. The food is great too, I love the ham grillers and the bagels with garlic feta dill. Highly recommend Zoom Zoom for great coffee and snacks.“

“A welcoming and cozy little cafe, that's quiet enough to chat in. The gelato is amazing, and the chocolate are silky and rich. Best of all, drinking chocolate made with any chocolate you want: my favorite is the white chocolate.“
“So a little disclaimer, I work for the vu tech Crew so not the coffee house but the building it's in. I love this place I'm usually there to put on a show or for open mic. The community is great welcoming and nice. The actual coffee is great and they have a cider drink that I really love. Overall I wouldn't rate it 5 because of the location and the interior (couches and such).“

“I always have an amazing experience at this location my coffee is always perfect and all the baristas are always so sweet and personable. Today my barista had some blue tips in her hair and was training a new girl. They were both amazing but the girl with blue hair really made my day.“

“LakeLine is awesome! Great atmosphere, super cozy and lots of great food and drink items on the menu. Everything we tried was delicious and the dill pickle dip, while creamier than we thought it was going to be, was a fun and super tasty dip. Also love that it's the neighborhood cafe for Silver Beach residents! Faves on the menu: Matcha latte, dill pickle dip, burrata & chimichurri sandwich, tuna melt (on both GF and regular bread) & chopped salad! Will definitely be back!“

“honestly probably the most atmospheric and cozy starbucks i’ve been to, came here to upload a few files onto my USB. but ending up sitting back to enjoy just how many people were spending time with each other there. an entire group of elderly women were crocheting and knitting together over warm beverages. how sweet. grateful for this stop.“

“Banter is such a unique dining experience and I love that, while a smaller menu, everything on there is curated deliciously. I find it's so easy to pick something on the menu to enjoy. Everything is just done so well. It almost feels like fine dining on a more casual scale with how high quality this comfort food is. Our Faves on the Menu: Avo Smash, Chef's Breakfast, Banter Burrito, Coconut Peanut Bowl, Smashed Fingerling Potatoes (side), Bluebalicious Smoothie, Fit Elvis Smoothie Definitely swing by Banter on your next visit to Downtown BHAM!“

“Went to Whole Foods on a Friday night to pick up some fresh desserts as well as some milk and fresh fruit for the morning. Also went back in the morning to get everything we needed which was a latte, breakfast sandwich, croissants and from the buffet some bacon and scrambled eggs. Hit the spot, it was delicious.“

“My recommendations: the black and white latte and the Whiskey Business. They’ve gotten the most repeat business on my trip for the delicious food and the full service, which is a nice elevation from your standard coffee shop. I’ve also had the blonde coffee w/ chai, and it’s worth a try if you’ve never had it before. You can also never go wrong with their breakfast burritos.
My suggestions to the staff: put different chairs by the table closest to the register - the stools make for an awkward sitting height. And you might test how putting signs on the table encouraging sharing might help when it’s busy and folks are taking up 4-tops to work or study.“
