“What an absolutely great burger and for $10, including fries. You can tell someone has studied their craft well. It's in an industrial section of town, and the cafe has a super basic and nostalgic appearance. It's like stepping back into the nineties or eighties. There's even paper copies of the Province up front, which you used to see in every cafe. I would make the trip out for sure.“

When I got there I told the lady that I hadn’t been here before, but I’m exhausted and want something as close to a coffee milkshake with caramel as I could get. “Muddy Waters is my favorite espresso stand in Whatcom County, hands down.

I've been ordering from Muddy Waters for a long time now and honestly can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. Every single person I've encountered there has been so friendly, and I really love their values as a local business.

I always order the same thing (decaf latte with coconut milk, since I have dietary stuff going on), and it is consistently my favorite latte around. They use Cafe Darte coffee, and it's just good, quality coffee every time. I've never once gotten a bad drink from them, and at this point I've ordered more times than I can count.

Every once in a while I'll treat myself to their sausage breakfast wrap with a side of salsa, and it hits the spot every time. I love how they cook it. I honestly haven't branched out much beyond my usual order, but that's a testament to how happy I am with what I already get. Maybe I'll try the breakfast sandwich one of these days.

The service is fast too. Even when there are four or five cars ahead of me, I don't feel like I'm waiting long at all.
One thing to know: the parking lot is small and shared with the neighboring business building, so it can get a little tight when the espresso stand has a line. It's just part of the experience there, and regulars know to expect it. Not a complaint, just something to be aware of if it's your first visit.

If you're local, do yourself a favor and stop by. Great coffee, sweet people, and it's nice to support a business right in the neighborhood.“

“This place is the real deal. Great food, portions, price, and just cool people. We got the cheeseburger and burger dip, the fries were top notch. Apparently everyone comes there in the morning for the trucker burrito though… I’m going to have to come back and find out“

“I was passing by on a trip needing caffeine for the drive and this is probably the best coffee shop I’ve been to in years, from Alberta to BC and all the way down to Portland. This one stands out the most.

I ordered an Avalanche, it’s like this specific drink was made for me, I love it.

I wish I lived nearby so I could come here more, but I guess I will be adding a 30min detour every time I drive down to Seattle so I can stop by here and enjoy.

“I just wanted to share our wonderful experience here. So, my 3 yr old son could not decide between the chocolate cake and the red velvet cake because the red velvet cake had a oreo cookie on top. We ended up getting the chocolate cake, and to our surprise when the nice lady who took our order served the chocolate cake she placed the oreo cookie on top of the chocolate cake and that just made my son's day. “I love a burrito of any kind but I especially do love a breakfast burrito. I've never been here before so I decided to give it a shot since it was on my route for the day. Think this place is great but I always try to call ahead which is an option they have but they don't have the menu listed anywhere they don't have a website that I could find they do have social media but I had to scroll back to over a year ago to see the breakfast burrito options that were being talked about on here. I ordered the ham and cheese with pepper jack and hash browns. It's absolutely fantastic I was definitely not expecting it to be on a panini press so the crunch on the outside is fantastic and the taste is delightful. Besides not having their menu listed anywhere conveniently online My only other small thing is, as someone that drives a semi truck that won't comfortably go through their drive-thru, I had to walk up to the window and even though there's a whole bunch of opening windows that are now blocked off. I get it because there's not a lot of space inside these coffee stands, but it's a little weird to have to walk through the drive-thru to pick up food. I wasn't the only person walking through either so I guess I was doing it right. Also something I'd love to see at every single drive-thru is a full menu that you can read from at least the second car in line's position if not the third is well. Also by walking up I scared the barista inside when I said hello to her cuz she didn't hear me coming and it being a cold October day I had my hood up and I think she thought I was robbing her. There isn’t a ton of space to sit inside this location but there is also space outside plus the service and the consistency in how my order is made right every time makes it worth it. When you’re paying for an expensive drink, you at least want it made right and with this location I never have to guess if the drink will be good or not.. it’s always good!“

“I wanted to try the Palm Café for a while ever since I checked the menu there. I ordered the “6 Nutella Banana Waffle with the Eggnog Latte. The waffle was very delicious. The waffle itself was soft and warm all around, the bananas was quite fresh, the Nutella was rich and tasty and the whipped cream was pleasurably sweet (even though the pink colouring does nothing for the cream.) The latte was so, very good and I could taste the eggnog in the beverage. The interior aesthetic was pretty straightforward; however, I do admire the lights and the wallpaper in the establishment. The service was great and I have no complaints against it whatsoever. I highly recommend anyone who loves waffles to come to the Palm Café. Even if you do not care for them, they also make sandwiches and avocado toast.“

“Are used to go to the Starbucks quite often because it is not nearly as busy as the standalone Starbucks store across the Guide Meridian Street. It is your typical grocery store, Starbucks, and they offer consistently good coffee and service.
