“The most freshly roasted coffee beans you can get (they roast them only after you order) delivered right to your door (at least here in the Vancouver area.) Great selection of either single coffees or blends, from pretty much all the main coffee producing regions in the world. “Muddy Waters is my favorite espresso stand in Whatcom County, hands down.

I've been ordering from Muddy Waters for a long time now and honestly can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. Every single person I've encountered there has been so friendly, and I really love their values as a local business.

I always order the same thing (decaf latte with coconut milk, since I have dietary stuff going on), and it is consistently my favorite latte around. They use Cafe Darte coffee, and it's just good, quality coffee every time. I've never once gotten a bad drink from them, and at this point I've ordered more times than I can count.

Every once in a while I'll treat myself to their sausage breakfast wrap with a side of salsa, and it hits the spot every time. I love how they cook it. I honestly haven't branched out much beyond my usual order, but that's a testament to how happy I am with what I already get. Maybe I'll try the breakfast sandwich one of these days.

The service is fast too. Even when there are four or five cars ahead of me, I don't feel like I'm waiting long at all.
One thing to know: the parking lot is small and shared with the neighboring business building, so it can get a little tight when the espresso stand has a line. It's just part of the experience there, and regulars know to expect it. Not a complaint, just something to be aware of if it's your first visit.

If you're local, do yourself a favor and stop by. Great coffee, sweet people, and it's nice to support a business right in the neighborhood.“

“They say that with age comes wisdom and they would be right. Culminating in the Rose Room is homemade soups sauces and entrees but we can't forget about the homemade desserts too. “I wanted to try the Palm Café for a while ever since I checked the menu there. I ordered the “6 Nutella Banana Waffle with the Eggnog Latte. The waffle was very delicious. The waffle itself was soft and warm all around, the bananas was quite fresh, the Nutella was rich and tasty and the whipped cream was pleasurably sweet (even though the pink colouring does nothing for the cream.) The latte was so, very good and I could taste the eggnog in the beverage. The interior aesthetic was pretty straightforward; however, I do admire the lights and the wallpaper in the establishment. The service was great and I have no complaints against it whatsoever. I highly recommend anyone who loves waffles to come to the Palm Café. Even if you do not care for them, they also make sandwiches and avocado toast.“

“This is a great place for youth to hang out and enjoy fabulous food and drinks. We had so much fun playing foosball that we came back the next day. The ambience is unbelievable. It is a great Christian hang out for youth and families alike.“

“Today I went through the drive-thru to grab myself a coffee as I have had a really tough day and week finding out I needed to put one of my dogs down. As I pulled up to the window, the woman serving me could tell I was upset and had been crying. She asked if I was ok and I broke down to her. Her empathy and compassion was beyond amazing, and she even asked to see a picture of my baby boy that I am letting go of.

She then handed me my coffee and refused payment saying “I can see how loved your baby is, please take the coffee, you deserve it”. I was so in awe of her kindness, it made me cry even more! Thank you to this young woman who made my crappy day, brighter.“

It is your typical grocery store, Starbucks, and they offer consistently good coffee and service. It’s a great place to grab your favorite Starbucks espresso drink while you do your grocery shopping.“

“I came through the drive-thru this morning completely exhausted, running on barely three hours of sleep after heading out early to pick my partner up from the airport. I desperately needed a coffee, but of course my Apple Pay decided not to work and, in my exhaustion, I had forgotten my purse at home.
I unfortunately did not catch her name but on May 28 @ 7:08 am, The beautiful woman taking my order showed me such unexpected kindness and gave me my coffee free of charge. It may have seemed like a small gesture to her, but it genuinely turned my entire morning around. I was literally fighting to stay awake on my drive in from Vancouver, and that simple act of compassion meant more than she probably realizes.
It’s refreshing to encounter people who still lead with generosity and understanding!! Truly such lovely service, and I’ll absolutely be coming back again and again. 10/10 experience.“
