“We discovered Cortado Cafe on our recent return to BC, Walnut Grove. It has become our go to place for tea, coffee, chai tea & incredible oatmeal raisin cookies. The sandwiches are phenomenally good as well. It’s got that great independent feel, comfortable chairs with pillows for your back. The staff greet you, remember you and “ have a great day “ as you leave. I can’t say enough about this cafe. Oh yeah they play great music, currently in the middle of a Beatles session on a Sunday afternoon.“

I am obsessed with this place!!! I love their scones, brownies and my partner loves their cinnamon buns. I absolutely LOVEEEEEE their matcha.🍵 Shout out to the amazing staff for always going above and beyond! Some I see more often even remember my drink. I bring a whole crew when I can and always vouch for your business to anyone who'll listen!

“We ordered paninis and BLT sandwiches and they were delicious.
We also had coffee and hot chocolate which were quite good.
Definitely check this place out for brunch!
One suggestion: make the bread thinner.. the bread is flavourful, but making the bread thinner or increasing the filling will make it better..“

“Once again I have come home from this wonderful gem of a local Brookswood coffee shop, with an awesome breakfast, while enjoying the last day for their delicious egg nog lattes! (Have to go back to their very yummy Chai tea lattes next week!)
This lovely family run (or at least I believe they're family, certainly this is the atmosphere they create...) is always warm and friendly, family/kid/work meeting/ friend friendly, with a couple of tables outside where you can sit with your dog!).
The noise level is always very tolerable...so important for all those get togethers, where you can actually hear what each of you is saying....
Parking is a little more challenging these days with the Yoga Studio in the corner, but never have to wait too long for a spot, and so worth the wait to go to Cravings.

“This coffee shop is great small, cozy, and welcoming. You feel comfortable as soon as you walk in.

I ordered a black coffee, caramel frappé, a plain croissant, and an almond fudge bar.

The black coffee was good, the caramel frappé was delicious, and the croissant was really fresh and tasty. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the almond fudge bar it was a bit too sweet for me, so I couldn’t finish it.

The surrounding area is beautiful. Right outside, you’ll find Shoreline Park, which is perfect for a walk while enjoying your coffee, or you can sit on a bench and relax by the lake.

Overall, it’s a nice place, and I’ll definitely be back“

“The Missus and a childhood friend had afternoon tea at the Duchess Tea Salon. Its location was unique for a tea room as it is in a business complex. The room had a shabby chic decor and the ambiance quiet and relaxing. Service was friendly and ready to help. The Missus found the savoury and sweet foods were lighter in taste and not as heavy as at other high teas. A pleasant afternoon.“

The gal working the counter was super kind - once I realized she was Japanese I asked if I could try ordering in Japanese to get ready for an upcoming trip. They let me, slowly, order and then even encouraged/provided the answer when I was fumbling. Great drip coffee, the blueberry white chocolate scone was firm on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
