“I recently visited Sushi House and was very impressed by the exceptional customer service, the delicious food at an unbeatable price, and the clean and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

When I entered, I was immediately greeted by the warmest, sweetest lady and by a friendly chef. I sat down and was brought a menu immediately. I asked for a glass of water which arrived instantly. I ordered the dyna-cali lunch combo special (dynamite roll, California roll and miso soup). You can’t find a better price for this combo anywhere. I hope they will keep this special.

As I waited for my food (which was not very long), I admired the space. It is the perfect welcoming atmosphere; very tidy, everything is precisely in its place, the decor is minimal and warm. But the level of cleanliness makes this place stand apart. I don’t think I have ever seen a restaurant this clean, it was spotless. There was not so much as a crumb on the floor, a streak on the table or a smudge on a glass, the place was immaculately clean.

The food arrived fast (but not rushed clumsily). The presentation was beautiful and clean just like the restaurant. The food was delicious and clearly made with love and attention to detail. The miso soup was flavourful and warm, the California roll and dynamite rolls were both fantastic and perfectly rolled. I especially enjoyed the dynamite roll; it was phenomenal. The lady was attentive and checked on me the perfect amount and exactly as much as I needed/wanted her to without being overbearing.

As I ate, I overheard some “difficult customers” (you know, the type who want to power trip on others to compensate for the lack of control they have over their own meaningless existence). Customers making numerous ridiculous requests like “no green onions is the miso soup, no vegetables in the sushi and so on, and on…). The lady (owner/employee) dealt with them and their ridiculous demands so politely, without argument, and with so much grace and kindness (which they did not deserve). Indeed, the customer service here is ABOVE OUTSTANDING.

For once eating out, my bill did not give me a heart attack. Both the lady and chef thanked me and said goodbye before I left. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will definitely return! I only wish they were open Tuesdays so I could come here and go to a Hollywood 3 movie next door on cheap movie Tuesdays.“

I normally get the Lunch or Dinner Bento boxes because they are bang for your buck but went with the Beef Bulgogi Hot Stone with Rice instead of noodles this time. “I left the atmosphere part blank because I have only ordered delivery, but for freshness and presentation. Everything is so so good, and the prices are really reasonable. My personal favourite is the temaki (hand rolls) Not many sushi places have them nowadays. Negitoro, spicy tuna, and dynamite are my 3 favs :)“

“So enjoyed coming here for first time recently. Sushi was so professionally presented and so fresh, plus absolutely delicious! Dancing Unagi and Apple bBossom specialty rolls were like artwork on a plate, then a party in the mouth. YUM!!! All were so friendly and attentive. I really was impressed! Loved the atmosphere too. “This place has THE BEST SUSHI. Good portions for great pricing not like some super expensive sushi places that give you next to no food. “This sushi restaurant is the nearest one to me and also happens to be one of my favourite locations in Langley. I have had a couple other experiences at Langley sushi locations and they were okay, but I find Nikko to be quite consistent and the quality it very good. I ordered take out last night and in about the same amount of time it took for a couple of subs to be built, my order was ready to go. It was about an hour before they closed, so they weren’t slammed but I have order other times and have always received food promptly. I ordered the tempura prawns, with a Philadelphia roll, negitoro roll and a half order of sockeye salmon and it hit the spot! It wasn’t super cheap, $50 for everything with a %10 tip, but this is pretty standard for the items I ordered. I had a bit of the rolls leftover and ate them the next day and they were still tasty with just a bit more solid rice which is to be expected. All in all, Nikko is my favourite Langley sushi and I will definitely be going back, I think I would like to sit there too one time as they have nice tatami rooms for groups as well!“

“Small business, family owned! Cute classic sushi layout inside. You can eat at a table or the “bar style area” where they make your sushi. You can tell they take pride in their restaurant from the moment you walk in. Super nice people and with the warmest smiles.

Experienced great service as they were always ensuring our tea is filled and that we enjoyed are food. The prices are very affordable compared to a lot of sushi places out there these days.

The portions were SO HUGE, a lot of rice but also a lot of fillings / very big pieces of fish too (a rarity these days). I almost wanted to use my hands to eat, as each piece had solid weight to them! PLUS, The fish was extremely fresh… toro was my favorite. I ordered the same amount of rolls I usually do and can easily eat, but this time it was a struggle! And that’s a testament to the generous portions. Bonus points: the tea tasted like the proper roasted green tea that was hot, not like Luke warm water ?

To summarize, I would definitely come back!

“This place has been around forever and I popped for a vegetarian lunch. The sushi presentation was adorable. There are a million sushi places with the exact same looking plates, but this was the first time I had my sushi presented in a cute little flower. It tasted great as well. The salad was super colourful and delicious and I even ate the little lemons and enjoyed them. Excited to come back and have another cute little tasty meal.(The server was absolutely lovely, but she took the order of a person who was seated at a table after me and there was a few minute delay in taking my order with only bothered my because I was starving and a bit hangry lol)“

“This is one of my favourite sushi restaurants in the entire Lower Mainland! They’re always friendly and their California Rolls taste more fresh than 99% of the Japanese restaurants out there. Every food I’ve ordered from there is great!“

The Tempura was crisp and golden. It was light and not greasy at all.

“I usually like this Japanese restaurant, I have introduced this to my friends, students, family and friends. I tried their sashimi salad and boy am I disappointed. I ask the server if it’s a Japanese recipe or Korean recipe, it tasted and smelled like kimchi. I like kimchi but I’m in a Japanese restaurant so I am expecting a Japanese cuisine. The sashimi salad doesn’t taste good at all it even has a bitter taste on it. When I mentioned it to the server she didn’t say anything, I felt ignored. In spite of that I will still eat there ( but will never try again their sashimi salad, not recommended needs to change their dressing) because I love their chicken teriyaki and their deluxe tempura. I also find them not that expensive.“
