“Recently moved to Pitt Meadows and came across this restaurant online when looking for sushi restaurants nearby. Was very surprised by the food and prices. Me and my boyfriend had dinner there last Friday and the food was DELICIOUS, service was very fast and the atmosphere of a historic house gave us the idea of traditional homemade food which we loved! Their prices are very reasonable! I definitely recommend this place for anyone who love sushi!“

“I recently visited Sushi House and was very impressed by the exceptional customer service, the delicious food at an unbeatable price, and the clean and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

When I entered, I was immediately greeted by the warmest, sweetest lady and by a friendly chef. I sat down and was brought a menu immediately. I asked for a glass of water which arrived instantly. I ordered the dyna-cali lunch combo special (dynamite roll, California roll and miso soup). You can’t find a better price for this combo anywhere. I hope they will keep this special.

As I waited for my food (which was not very long), I admired the space. It is the perfect welcoming atmosphere; very tidy, everything is precisely in its place, the decor is minimal and warm. But the level of cleanliness makes this place stand apart. I don’t think I have ever seen a restaurant this clean, it was spotless. There was not so much as a crumb on the floor, a streak on the table or a smudge on a glass, the place was immaculately clean.

The food arrived fast (but not rushed clumsily). The presentation was beautiful and clean just like the restaurant. The food was delicious and clearly made with love and attention to detail. The miso soup was flavourful and warm, the California roll and dynamite rolls were both fantastic and perfectly rolled. I especially enjoyed the dynamite roll; it was phenomenal. The lady was attentive and checked on me the perfect amount and exactly as much as I needed/wanted her to without being overbearing.

As I ate, I overheard some “difficult customers” (you know, the type who want to power trip on others to compensate for the lack of control they have over their own meaningless existence). Customers making numerous ridiculous requests like “no green onions is the miso soup, no vegetables in the sushi and so on, and on…). The lady (owner/employee) dealt with them and their ridiculous demands so politely, without argument, and with so much grace and kindness (which they did not deserve). Indeed, the customer service here is ABOVE OUTSTANDING.

For once eating out, my bill did not give me a heart attack. Both the lady and chef thanked me and said goodbye before I left. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will definitely return! I only wish they were open Tuesdays so I could come here and go to a Hollywood 3 movie next door on cheap movie Tuesdays.“

Parking: It’s a big open air mall parking lot. Lots of space close to the restaurant every time we’ve been.

Kid-friendliness: The servers are attentive and kind with our young kids, and the chefs often play peekaboo from the kitchen which my daughter finds absolutely hilarious! They’re such gems!!“

“I love everything that I ordered today, the pork katsu and shrimp curry was amazing, so crunchy, and with the sauce plus the sesame seeds that you grinded yourself while you waited for the meal to come, it smelled good and fresh. “I’ve literally been coming here since it opened, approximately 19 years ago, and the quality has not wavered! The food is beyond excellent and the service is wonderful! My family and I love it here! This is my comfort food and my celebratory food, and everything in between!

My favourite must-try’s are the Crab meat mushroom, agedashi tofu, kani sunomono, dynamite & California rolls, and the Teriyaki Box (beef or chicken).“

I normally get the Lunch or Dinner Bento boxes because they are bang for your buck but went with the Beef Bulgogi Hot Stone with Rice instead of noodles this time. Also tried the Sushi pizza and if you haven't you are missing out because this was delicious from the flavours to presentation.“

Dietary restrictions: Lots of options and flexibility for all diets, but it is definitely about the meat on the grill.

Parking: Lots of free parking available.

Kid-friendliness: I think kids would love it, however there is a hot element in the center of the table. Don't place children on the grill. It's obvious, but somehow, unfortunately, necessary to mention cause of that small percent of mentally inept parents.
