“Just had lunch today and while the food was pretty good, I can’t say much for our server. It would appear that she has decided that everyone she waits on must pay her a tip. We had left the restaurant and walking to our car when she followed us outside and questioned about her service. What she was inquiring about was her tip that she felt she was entitled to! After informing her the tip was on the table she immediately turned around and left without offering a thank you. What the hell?“

“I ordered omakase nigiri, mackerel and eel hako sushi, black cod saikyo yaki, and agedashi-tofu to takeout for our anniversary dinner. All of them are amazing! Especially, mackerel hako sushi was the best of all mackerel that I ate in Canada. Not only the fish, sushi rice was so good! Thanks to these great foods, we could spend the great anniversary! If you are looking for the real Japanese amazing sushi, I strongly recommend Yugafu!“

“Kisso has become our family’s go‑to spot in Port Coquitlam. We usually come with a group of about 16 people, and they always set us up in the corner booths, which works perfectly for a large party. I always feel a bit bad because we’re loud and there are so many of us, but the staff handle it with so much patience and kindness.

The Japanese‑speaking staff are especially wonderful — warm, polite, and always attentive. The food is consistently fresh, the portions are great, and the atmosphere feels welcoming every single time. It’s rare to find a restaurant that treats big groups this well, and we appreciate them so much.“

We’ve ordered different types of sushi and we’ve never been disappointed in the taste or quality.

My only criticism is that a few rare times, their tuna sashimi isn’t fresh. Also since we order take out, they always forget pack soy sauce and chopsticks so I always have to ask.“

“We discovered Sushi Musa by chance and haven't looked back since. The chicken karaage and prawn tempura are standouts, must-try dishes. We're regulars now, and always order the Roll combo with chicken, which never disappoints. The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive, the restaurant is spotlessly clean, and the free parking and easy access make it convenient. Their hospitality is consistently excellent.“

“I used to live in Fleetwood and we loved to either visit Tobiko's or pick up takeout. I have moved to White Rock and wanted good sushi with a friend - so we decided to make our way to Tobiko. I was very happy to see the same sushi chef (likely owner) and the 2 ladies receiving customers were SO FRIENDLY to us and all customers who came in (I always notice service). The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, with a golden panko coating that was pure perfection. We ordered the hira pork katsu, kimchi katsu that came sizzling to the table and the cheese katsu. The accompanying tonkatsu sauce had just the right balance of tangy and sweet, elevating every bite. The atmosphere was cozy yet modern, Jenny was attentive who made us feel so welcome. The food is clean and consistent, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous compared to other sushi places. You can tell it’s been supported by the community for years.

It’s not fancy, but that’s part of what I like about it. Places that stay in the same spot for over 10 years usually do so for a reason. I’ve always enjoyed my meals here.“

A favorite among many is their Korean chirashi don. Huge bowl with sashimi, rice, lettuce, and a hot sauce. Loved by many Korean regulars.“

“We have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. The couple who runs the shop are great. Front of house is taken care of by an attentive staff. My son a decade ago would go here for lunch.. by himself. They were so pleased and kind such a young kid would come in and order eat and pay. They made sure they gave him special entrees and free appetizers because they were so smitten with my son. He is full grown now .. and when we go there now they are very cordial and treat us like long lost friends.
The food is next level. So much to choose from. .. as we always order deep fried prawn tempura… with the crispy fried heads.. lol yum
The spicy scallop roll to the Port Moody roll and dragon roll… holy cow so good!
Every once in a while we get free appt gifts from the sushi master because we sit right at the sushi bar. Then another wave of curry cutlets on rice .. whoa so good
Chicken yakiudon … yum!
Then a large bottle of sake and green tea
The whole meal of over 10 entrees and the meals are always around $100-$130 for three people. We always roll out of their feeling like a couple of snakes who just ate a large cow.. :)

“Amazing location to stop by for food in Vancouver first of all mainly all of the sushi places in Vancouver are the best because I feel like for the fact that we have such good product plus to Japanese and Asian communities. Just give the best of their culture around all the sushi and Asian restaurants in Vancouver, but this place is just a bargain meaning it is super cheap for the amount of food that they give you and we had the best time with my girlfriend after a day shopping at IKEA so if you wanna make some hunger and go shop first, this is definitely a spot to stop for food to share with your friends and family and loved ones.
