“Have stopped here a few times while being in the area. Decided on dinner here tonight and it was nice and yummy. The Burke mountain roll was lovely and tasty but not overwhelming with the sauce. The add on chicken karaage was a delicious light batter and perfectly cooked chicken inside that came piping hot. The double double ramen was satisfying and the soup was really light and quite fantastic. The salmon aburi had a great presentation and was filling. Perfet order for 2 persons. Sorry for the noodle photo ..I already started eating it...I don't usually drink the soup...I drank it all!! I appreciate the low sodium soy as well.❤️🙏🏻“

“A surprising and unassuming Japanese-owned sushi shop that reminded me of my visits to Japan. Super fresh nigiri and sashimi, with platter items you'd normally expect at a higher-end Vancouver omakase.
Their osusume (recommended) menu today included otoro (fattiest tuna belly, which they call super toro), engawa, aji and shima-aji, amaebi, kanpachi, whole hotate, and more. And their deluxe sashimi platter included many of these same premium options, rather than the standard mostly regular salmon and tuna layouts in most Western sushi restaurants.
We also ordered one of each of the two dessert options - green tea ice cream sundae with red bean sauce and shiratama (mochi balls) and poached pear and ice cream. Stellar.
The Japanese highballs were refreshing, and we're excited to try their recommended sake and umeshu next visit.
Other menu offerings included oshi (pressed sushi), hot appetizers and dishes like soft shell crab and asuri clam, Japanese rolls, and Japanese beers.
They also had the more Western options of maki (rolls), which our neighbouring tables ordered. I'm not as into maki, but it did look spectacular being served.
Background music was elevator jazz, which is perfect for the setting.
Quiet and super courteous older Japanese couple (I'm assuming) - likely the owners - running table service and as sushi chef. The wait is a little longer than standard Western-style Japanese restaurants, but worth it.
We splurged on our visit than the average visit when we saw the menu, but it still worked out to less than half of a quality omakase sitting per person. But I'd guess the average visit would be about $30-40 per person.
It wasn't busy when we visited, but due to their short business hours, still recommend booking reservations, which they do over text.“

“From an omakase perspective, the value for what you get is the best you'll find in the lower mainland. Keith and Chika do an amazing job of personalizing the experience and show how much they genuinely care about your experience and how passionate they are about their craft. The freshness and quality of the fish/seafood is top notch. You won't be disappointed. 10/10 recommend.“

“Ordered from their website on a Saturday night. Easy to order & ready on time for pick-up. Nigiri was great for the price. The roll was just okay. Cone was also just okay.

“We had an absolutely amazing dinner at Sushiway! The service was the fastest we’ve ever experienced, the sashimi was incredibly fresh, the sushi was delicious, and the portions were very generous. The Happy Hour beer and chicken karaage combo was definitely the biggest surprise, as it was such a great deal and absolutely delicious!
I highly recommend this place, and I’m sure we’ll be back!!!:)“
