“Fantastic Sushi! Great prices, very fresh and always delicious! The owner/staff are super friendly and the service is always fast and efficient! Been going here for over 15 years (even followed them from their old location closer to Ambelside) and have never once been disappointed! I now travel over 30mins just to get their Sushi because no other Sushi restaurant is nearly as good. I highly recommend this place; In my opinion for the quality and the price it's the best Sushi around without a doubt! Love them!“

“I got the fried unagi dup-bap lunch special along with their soy garlic korean fried chicken to share with my party. The fried unagi comes with a soy sauce based sauce, which you can ration at your own discretion, a salad, and miso soup. I found the unagi to be well seasoned and cooked, while the breading was nice and crispy. The salad and miso soup were acceptable. Their fried chicken was evenly coated in their soy garlic sauce, the breading was crispy, and the chicken was very tender. I do believe the highlight of this restaurant was the service and atmosphere, however. The walls were decorated with things such as what somaek and chimaek were, which I found to be a nice touch, and the tables were all very separated, which I also appreciated, as its often a rarity to have so much space between tables nowadays. As for the service, it definitely exceeded my expectations and was probably the best service I've ever received. The person serving our table (I wasn't able to grab the name, sorry!) went above and beyond for us. Even though we were the only table being served, I feel like it would've been just as easy for her to mostly ignore us, or not give us the service she did. This was the only time I've felt like giving a 15% tip would not be doing justice to the quality of the service received. All of that is to say, I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try.“

“Sushi Katsu in West Vancouver is an absolute gem! The dynamite roll is hands down the best I've had in years - the quality is excellent, and the presentation is fantastic. The service is also very attentive, making for a delightful dining experience.

I did notice a difference in the sashimi presentation during my visits; on my first visit, it was beautifully arranged in a floral design, which I absolutely loved. On my next visit, it was served in plain pieces, which was a bit of a letdown since the floral presentation really stood out.

One area that could use a bit more TLC is the washrooms, as I noticed they were storing cleaning products and had some dust on the surfaces. Despite this, the overall experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend Sushi Katsu for anyone craving delicious sushi!“

“I ordered some sushi for takeout and the owners were super sweet and helpful. My boyfriend has a strong gluten intolerance and they were very helpful and kind about going through all the food to make sure nothing would make him sick. They were super meticulous with the packaging, my gluten stuff separate boxes from my boyfriend’s meal. The food was awesome and a good value!“
