“I had a craving for sushi and decided to stop here at Kin Sushi which I’ve been to a few times already. It’s a small restaurant with friendly staff. I ordered the Favourite sushi combo and gomae. I was served quickly and tea was also topped up regularly. Everything was fresh and very nicely plated. It’s a very popular place for takeout as guests were rolling in the whole time to pick up orders. The only knock I have was that the washroom floor felt sticky, the dining area is very clean though. I do recommend this place and will continue to come back.“

Loong's serves above average Chinese food. I'm no expert, but I enjoyed it. We had the noodles with XO sauce (they subbed chicken for pork), and the Sweet & Sour Pork.

They deserve 5 stars, to balance off the irrelevant reviews for the former sushi place, that used to be at this address (get your act together, Google).“

“I had a really enjoyable experience here. The flavors were clean and welbalanced, and each dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The texture of the ingredients stood out in a good way, and everything tasted nicely put together without being overwhelming.

The atmosphere was calm and comfortble, making it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. Service was also friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

“Me and boyfriend wanted to celebrate my citizenship ceremony. We were thinking of going to this place long time ago together as I went with my friends before. This was my second time and I really love their fried chicken and fries combo! They are very fresh and crispy. All the foods we ordered was good but highlight of this meal is definitely fried chicken. Thank you so much Ssal we had very nice meal“

“I love this restaurant since they were in North Vancouver. Now in West Vancouver is more convenient for us, we usually go together as a family. Let me recommend the dishes that we have tried: Beef teriyaki bowl ( by far the best that we have tasted in Vancouver), Spicy Don, Aburi sushi, and most of the maki’s sushi. The service is so friendly, the atmosphere is great and the new restaurant building is so fancy. Regarding pricing is fair enough for the quality of the food.“

“What a lovely gem in Horseshoe Bay. We decided to give it a try despite the bad reviews. We like to make our own minds up and we are pleased we ate here. We had Miso, edamame, tuna and salmon sashimi, gyozo and tuna maki. It was fab. The sashimi beautifully prepared and presented and it was fresh and melted in the mouth. We left there very happy and so pleased we visited. Well worth a try.“

“We googled and found this place. First timer to try this sushi place.
The Sashimi is very fresh and delicious! We ordered tempura, udon, grill mackerel, sushi roll…everything tastes really good.
It’s a small and busy restaurant. Service is great. In house Customers and online orders were nonstop while our visit for dinner. We’re so glad to find this new favourite restaurant in this neighborhood.

Parking could be challenging during dinner hours. Drive safely as this area has many pedestrians crossing road anywhere they like.“

“An incredible omakase experience! It felt like I was transported back to Japan when I dined here for our wedding anniversary. I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere and Chef Ju Hyun Lee was so friendly and engaged us in conversation throughout the night. It is very easy to tell that he is passionate about what he does and it shows in the way he communicates and presents each dish. The quality of the fish, presentation, and quantity of dishes exceeded all of my expectations. Save this place for a special occasion because it will be a very memorable dining experience!“

There was an hour wait for dinner, but there were also plenty of things & coffee shops nearby to kill time.

The knife work was great on the sashimi. Thick & uniform cuts. Fish were fresh & buttery and needed little to no soy sauce. The roll was great, as well. The crunchy (shrimp?) bit in the middle was a great touch.

I’m looking forward to trying more sashimi here on my next visit.“

Tis a cute lil sushi joint, visited it with my cute lil girlfriend and we certainly approve the taste but the quality of service was phenomenal. You’ll find the staff are open and friendly but the chef’s the star caterer of this shop. He came out to see if I was ok when I was served Takoyaki which was quite hot. He also assisted a customer in a wheelchair leave the building. Apart from the helpful service, he also made pleasant small talk with me, my girl and other customers…

“Bursting with fillings and flavour, so it's worth the higher cost for a piece of sushi 😘 I really enjoyed my 3-piece afternoon snack with beef, salmon and scallop, each nicely layered on a solid piece of sushi wrapped in my favourite deep-fried beancurd!! Also came with a good warm cup of miso soup on-the-house. Nice and neat interior with both indoor seating with a huge window facing the street, as well as outdoor terrace seating. “Wonderful sushi. They had Uni Nigiri at a very reasonable price. Saba Nigiri had Yuzu leaves on the top (not just green onion pieces) - that was a nice touch. “High quality and good amount given for the premium price. I usually go for the bento box every time i eat at a Japanese restaurant for lunch. It usually ranges from $17-$20. Here it is $24, but its worth it. They even have a kids bento box for $12.95. The chicken kaarage was very good, i recommend to try it if you come here.“

“Possibly my favourite sushi place ever. The food is absolutely amazing, the oshi tastes the same quality as places like miku but it 5x cheaper and it’s take out. It closes at 7 and I came in a 6:58 like a rude person and they still put so much effort and patience in to making my food amazing even though they knew it wasn’t my first time trying the dish. Excellenct service and the food is very special.“

“After hearing about this place, I’ve wanted to visit, and I finally had the chance to do so. The owner and staff greeted me warmly, which made me feel comfortable.

The Miso Soup wasn’t too salty, which I liked, and the dressing on the fried chicken and vegetables complemented the dish really well, making it delicious.

The Salmon Aburi melted in my mouth as soon as I took a bite. It was so tender and flavorful.

Next time, I’d like to try the CUPBOP.

I ordered the spicy salmon sashimi, and it was incredibly fresh! The spicy sauce was just perfect; typically, I don't like it when restaurants serve it on the side, but this one was an exception.
The crispy crunchy roll was also perfect. My friends ordered the Tuna Sashimi and the North Vancouver roll, and everyone agreed on the amazing quality!
The food was served in a blink! Both the waiter and the chef were so friendly.
I would definitely come back again to this amazing local spot.

“We have lived in this area for 25yrs and never tried out Dami....don't know why. Maybe because nobody we know recommends it here. Glad we came out on a Saturday for lunch on a rainy day because my eldest daughter was craving for Korean seafood pancake.

The seafood pancake is thick and looks like pizza hut pizza! If you like crunchy and fluffy dough then this is good. The best value for your money is the chicken katsu and chicken don rice bowls. Very tasty and lots of chicken!

The sushi rolls are priced well too. Mow we have an extra place to go for food near by. Convenience is nice when going out with 6 ppl. Very spacious inside and they play Japanese music.

Our meal for 6 of us only came to $79 + tip!? And we had take out....I spend that much sometimes having lunch meetings fir 2 ppl. We will be back!“
