“5/5 stars!! Food was great, we got the Raku set, spicy tuna combo, and chicken karaage. The waiter was super friendly and gave us an extra miso soup on the house. When we were leaving, he noticed us carrying a big bouquet of flowers and asked if it was a special occasion, then gave us a yuzu cheesecake to take home!“

“We visited Tenton Ramen for lunch enroute to Horseshoe bay. It turned out to be a great decision. The black garlic (tonkotsu) Ramen was excellent. The noodles could have been a little more chewy but the broth was rich and flavorful and the chashu was the way it should be.
You are given the option to construct your own Ramen bowl, using various options that you can pick from the menu. This includes the thickness of your noodles, the type of protein as well as the broth.
We also ordered agedashi tofu, as well as a serving of chicken karaage. The tofu was as to be expected, however the karaage was simply excellent. The pieces were very crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside.
If I ever find myself in west Vancouver again, I would definitely swing by Tenton Ramen!“

“This is probably the single most visited restaurant in West Van for me. In terms of food, it's authentic, comforting, and well-presented for the most part. Would definitely recommend trying their specialty rolls; they're unique, well-made, and worth the price. The price is friendly for the most part, although there are restaurants in West Van that serve a similar quality of food for a few dollars cheaper. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is great, as the restaurant is heavily Japanese-themed, with unique dining rooms, paintings, and curtains.“

“Wanted a Japanese restaurant near Ambleside so we could the beach after dinner & Google Maps gave us Kiisu.
GREAT option! We both had the Premium Dinner and loved it -
outstanding & good value. Starting with the tea & misu soup followed with three good sized pieces of mixed Sashimi (tuna & salmon) The dinner box was lovely. Really nice sushi & teriyaki (one ordered w/chicken one w/beef: chicken was better.)
Enjoyed everything but the kirigi chicken was a bit too much since it came with teriyaki chicken. Personally I would had preferred a couple vegetable gyoza instead. SMALL quibble.
Absolutely would order the same thing again here. Bill for two including tax & nice tip was under $70.
A few things to love about Kiisu West: (1) On entering greeted & suggested a table but told we could choose (2) Nice airy bright room with view to sushi chefs (3) brought menus and green tea right away (4) great menu with good illustrations & descriptions.“

“I’ve been coming to Ssal Korean Bistro for lunch for years and it’s honestly such a hidden gem in West Van for hearty, comforting Korean food. Their doenjang jjigae (soybean paste soup) is one of my absolute favorites — rich, flavorful, and made with really fresh ingredients.
The staff are always incredibly sweet and attentive, which makes the experience even better every time I visit. I also highly recommend the bossam (pork belly) and the soft tofu soup — both are delicious and consistently well made.
You can really tell they care about the quality of their food. Definitely one of my go-to Korean spots and a place I always recommend to friends.“

“Really delicious, solid sushi at reasonable prices. My wife and I make the drive from North Van often and the service is always really attentive, the ingredients are fresh and we never have to wait long. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new go-to sushi spot!“

“I ordered the Mega Tray A and salmon sashimi. Two adults and three kids ate until we were completely full.
The reason I love this place is that the taste is always consistent and the ingredients are always fresh. I haven’t tried every sushi restaurant in Vancouver, but in West Vancouver, I think Mega Sushi is the best.
The food tastes truly high-quality and suits my palate perfectly. I’ve never had a disappointing experience here. Even if you don’t live nearby, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal when you’re on your way to catch the Horseshoe Bay ferry!“

“The food is here amazing and so delicious! Genuinely. Best Chinese food in West Van and possibly North Van. The waiters are so nice! Really great spot. I will go many times more. Just look at the pictures…the food tastes even better in real life. Don’t forget, you have to preorder the chicken dish. So juicy and flavorful.“

“The food is great for someone who enjoys authentic Japanese comfort food for a budget-friendly price. Food such as teriyaki, udon, and yaki noodles are probably the lowest priced in West Van, and they deliver in terms of taste. The specialty rolls are decent, not particularly flashy or expensive, but they're fine in terms of comfort food. Overall a good place to get some authentic food after hours.“
